bigvalmonie
Hello all fellow non-manipulated tabloid junkies, Please can someone tell me what is better to use? Double bladed lightsaber OR two single bladed. If my double bladed had a hit of 10-33, would that be the damage value on both hands? I love him too much, SON OF SAM
RenGD-F1
I think it's more a matter of preference. I have always found the double-bladed lightsaber more effective in battle, although some people would argue that two single blades provide more precision. I would test both and use whichever works best for you.
Grishnakh
I've completed the game several times and my weapon of choice is the doublebladed lightsaber. A doublebladed lightsaber without any powering crystals does 2-20 in damage on both sides. A singlebladed saber only does 2-16, so a doublebladed saber does more damage than one in each hand. It's true that a doublebladed saber is less precise than one singlebladed because of the two-weapon penalty, but if you have the feat master two weapon-fighting the penalty is just -2 to hit in each hand. If you have the master dueling feat however you gain +3 to hit and +3 to defense while using one onehanded weapon. But that feat doesn't work with one weapon in each hand, so 2 sabers isn't more precise than a doublebladed one, at least if you're not using a short lightsaber in the off hand, which is balanced against the two weapon-penalty (I'm not sure if the left side of the doublebladed saber is balanced against the penalty though). Reclaimer
Its all in the crystels(sp). The Double Bladed Lightsaber can ONLY take two crystels, while two lightsabers can take four. (Two in each) Now people do argue about the precission of hitting for the sabers, but I use them all. I mostly use the single for creatures like Sand People, Rancors, ect. The Double Blade is for Dark Jedi mostly, sometimes I might use it for other things. The sabers in each hand stance is mostly for bosses. Malak was beaten serverely by my Green and Blue sabers on the Lightside Path. You should really try them all out and find which is the best for you. Blessèd Sith
While I don't like the fact that double has 2 and dual has 4 crystals, I prefer the double. Aesthetics mostly. Plus, if you use forcepowers you can easily take out any enemies, even without those extra crystals. *Shrugs* As Reclaimer said, try them out and figure out what's best for you. Karaak Shamar
I belive that a double-bladed lightsaber is more powerful than duel lightsabers because even though you may have rather strong lightsabers in each hand it can have a negative attack in one hand which could decrease the damage inflicted on the opponent. Although duel sabers do look much cooler! lol but i would rather have a double-bladed lightsaber because it inlflict more damage on ones foes. Weddings? I love weddings! Drinks all around! Darth Rivrdance
I believe that it looks better to use two lightsabers, but I always insist that the lightsabers are of a matching color. I use two purple lightsabers most often, but red is my second choice. Double-bladed lightsabers do more damage than two single-bladed lightsabers, but I can kill any opponent with a single hit anyway thanks to the hacked game saves I downloaded from http://www.xbox-saves.com (the two game saves are currently still in the new uploads section). kome566
It depends on how you build your char.If you want to use double lightsaber, master two weapon fighting. You wont get a double lightsaber for a while unless you steal bastila's.Or *Spoiler? I think?* From a dark jedi on kashykk. So just use 2 lightsabers until then.
Venom750
But you can get two lightsabers of (A) a dead juhani or (B) a dead sherruk but i still steal bastila's.

There exists a glitch in the X-Box version that does not penalize you for the two-handed penalty when u use a two-handed weapon. However, this only exists with a two-handed weapon. If you use dual lightsabers, you will still be penalized. Dueling will not affect a two-handed weapon. Test it out and check your feedback to see. Grishnakh
The two weapon fighting feat is for two weapons (one in each hand) or for doublebladed weapons, like the doublebladed lightsaber. Duelling only works with one one-handed weapon.

Ahoatam
Actually, you don't need either feat. There exists a glitch in the X-Box version that does not penalize you for the two-handed penalty when u use a two-handed weapon. This is true. The two weapon fighting feat is for two weapons (one in each hand) or for doublebladed weapons, like the doublebladed lightsaber. Duelling only works with one one-handed weapon. This is supposed to be true. When you equip a double bladed saber, you will see the off-hand penalty on the equip screen. However, in the xbox version, when you are actually in battle, the game doesn't figure the penalty in the math. Therefore on XB games, if you are planning on using a double blade, two weapon-fighting feats are a waste. They won't help you, unless you have trouble sleeping at night because you take advantage of a glitch. The Double Bladed Lightsaber can ONLY take two crystels, while two lightsabers can take four. (Two in each) I'm not sure what you meant, but this doesn't necessarily make two sabers more powerful. For instance, you'd have a hard time finding TWO sigils and TWO uparis, and even if you did, you might want to spare the second pair for another jedi in your party. In a way, the double bladed saber doubles your crystals by making sure you don't have to spread them out over twice as many sabers. So, when playing Xbox, the double-bladed saber has clear advantages. That being said, I appreciate asthetics, and sometimes, I just want ALL my jedis to single-wield, because dammit, thats what Luke Skywalker did. Grishnakh
Yeah, you're right. I checked the attack breakdown on the feedback section of the menu and it doesn't register the 2 weapon penalty when you're using a doublebladed saber. Damn! all those saves I've wasted three feats by upgrading 2 weapon fighting:mad: Now I finally understand why Bastilla hits so often when she just has the first 2 weapon feat. I knew there were a lot of glitches and bugs in this otherwise amazing game but this is maybe the biggest one I've heard of so far. I'm almost starting to wish I had the PC version. And I agree with what you wrote about the crystals. Ok, so you get 4 crystals instead of 2 with dual sabers, but I still think it's better to use a db saber, cause then you get the effect of four crystals from two great ones, like the upari and solari crystals which there only is one of each of in the game (Xbox version).
