pirate boy Posted June 24, 2004 Author Posted June 24, 2004 Well I tried doing it off of Curse of Monkey Island... But the thing about Murray is in the game he has two expressions. He has the grumpy look "MWAHAHAHAA":mad: and then he has a surprised look I ended up doing the surprised look cause I figured I could get more emotion out of it. But originally (though I never figured out how) I wanted to have a cord that you could pull with your finger that'd make his eyes go grumpy. (like Bert on Sesame Street) But once again I never figured out how to do that or what materials. I made Murray by blowing up a balloon, then paper macheying(sp) a bunch of layers on top. Once enough layers had been added I popped the balloon. I'm no seamstress nor have I worked with much fabric in the past so I pretty much hot glue gunned on a silky grey fabric. I had to also inside add a small strap to keep the top fingers from going places. A lot went into him and he's been to a couple of functions with me. He entertained kids at a magic show and Murray also was used as humor to liven up the situation for a little kid who was frightened after walking through a haunted house on halloween. Good times.
