And who exactly told you i want to be saved? And who exactly told you i live an 'itty bitty' life, hmm? Do you know where i live? Do you know what i am doing? Do you kow what's my job? Do you know if i like my life? Do you know if i care what happens when i die? Just because you care, doesn't mean i do. You know nothing. Especially not about me. I am a righteous man. I don't kill, i don't steal, i don't smoke, i don't drink, i go to work, i respect others and their opinions and don't tell them what they should do.

And you know what, you are right, i am too busy for your god. Way too busy. Because i have a familiy, where i find TONS of love and where i can GIVE tons of love. I dont care about your god because i care for my family all day long, when i'm doing my job, when i buy food, when i come home, when i go to bed, when i get up. Every single day. When you call that 'itty bitty', please, i call it REAL LIFE and it gives me joy. More joy that anything else. The smile of my wife and kid mean more to me that anything of your divine miracles or whatever does.

 

And i know you are now going to tell me "But god made all this possible". Maybe he did, but surely not according to what your religion says. I cannot prove (and dont want to) that god doesn't exists, but i also can't prove he exists, either. So it makes no sense for me to believe in god. And being an individual i take my right to reject your proofs, i simply don't find them convincing, they don't satisfy my eager to give things a logical sense in my understanding. Just as you onyl believe what you understand, i just believe what i do understand. Of course i have still a couple of decades to live, and i don't think i'll stop expanding my understanding until i die.

I, for myself, am not even sure if i would consider "god" as a being or more as something. I could find many ways to "define" god and that's what i leave it at. Currently i couldn't say it any better than my friend, assumed there is something like god. Sure is there is milk, even if not in the fridge.

I rather believe in the things and knowledge i experienced during my life, which i have tested myself and percieve as proven to be fact. I cannot and don't want to spend my life on things which are rather unsure and very interpretable. As exemplar of the human species i just follow the way of life, like every species does, with only one goal, spreading. And there is no god needed for that, and being an intelligent lifeform i know where this is leading us. The death of our species or away from earth, from this solar system. Either way i cannot think of a need for a god or religion to reach those "goals", but i think religion rather helps us to reach only the first one.

 

So do me one favor please, believe what you want, but do not tell me what i should believe, because i don't tell you what you should believe. And like i told yeabginn before, i have to say, saying someone is "living an itty bitty life" out an arrogant attitude is pretty unchristian, just because you are christian doesn't mean you have the right to look down to other people who are not. Especially if you do not know them.

I know of several hundred religions in the world other than the big five (christianity, islam, judaism, hinduism, & buddhism). Nearly all tout themselves as being the correct or the true religion. Each believes in one or more omnipotent, supernatural beings (well, one doesn't).

But BOTH sides can't be killing out of self defense can they? One has to be the agressor, and that would typically be anyone engaging in conflict outside of their own borders. Which means that the USA has been the aggressor in pretty much every war we've ever fought, making us murderers.

 

And I can think of a LOT of people who joined the army after 9/11 because they "wanted to go kill some towel-heads" so you're argument is wrong.

Your arguments are wrong when I can use facts and evidence to refute the points you make. If you ever used factual evidence and logic to counter my points I'd gladly accept your points.

 

And I already TOLD you why I debate these. So my points can be seen by others, and might accept my logic and arguments as valid, and I'd like to THINK that some of my points get through and you are forced to at least THINK a little about your religion, instead of just blindly following like a lemming.

Those three verses are all rather contradictory neh?

 

The bible is touted as being big on family values, but then in Matthew 10:29 - And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

He says if you forsake your entire family for jesus you're doing good!

 

 

Matthew 4:8 - Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

 

So, the earth was flat then? since Jesus could see all kingdoms of the world from the top of a mountain

Matt 10:29- That simply means that you have to live entirely for God. You have to be willign to do anything for Him, and follow in his ways.

 

Matt 4:8- That could be figuratively speaking. It was written by Mathew, who wasnt there, it was just Jesu and the Devil, so its unknown what exactly went on there.

I am a Catholic. I believe strongly in my religion.

 

I do not believe Homosexuals will go to Hell. Well, I can't say that. SOME homosexuals might go to Hell. Just like everyone else. I'm not too sure about homosexuality and whether or not it is a sin, but even if it was, big deal. Everyone sins, you don't have to go pointing them out at people.

 

As for The Bible. Yes, it is good. It gives good advice. However! You cannot base your religion on JUST The Bible. You have traditions pasted down too. Following The Bible word for word, when you cannot even understand a lot of what it is even saying can mislead you.

 

I am Catholic, yet I do not believe that different people go to Hell. Thank you!

i dont blindly follow.i choose to follow ,and if i worship and God isnt real when i die ,so what, i spent my life worshiping and Hes not real ,then i wont go to Hell ,but if i do worship then i will go to Heaven ,so technically if im wrong about God (which i dont believe) then i will be dead in the ground and nothing will happen ,but if im right ill be with Him ,thats all i have to say .whats the point of you even trying to convert me to agnostism or atheism ,is it going to make my life better ,im going to die anyways ,big whoop.
