ET Warrior Posted June 29, 2004 Share Posted June 29, 2004 Yeah....so I was wondering, we have so many fantastic smilies here on LF, animated .gif smilies in fact. And I was wondering if it's possible for me to save them to mah harddrive as a .gif file...I am however finding that not do-able, I can only save it as a bitmap file. You can maximize the window and then use your browser's (whichever you are using) save command. ET Warrior Posted June 29, 2004 Author Share Posted June 29, 2004 I'm using Internet Explorer The problem is when I try to save them in the Smilies list browser window I get an error message that says "Internet Explorer cannot download: Internet explorer was not able to open the internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." And I get that every time, do I just have poor timing? toms Posted June 29, 2004 Share Posted June 29, 2004 clear out IE's temporary files. Restart browser. Then try right clicking and saving. I can right click and save in both IE and opera, but i know that when IE's cache gets overloaded it sometimes only lets you save as BMP files, for no obvious reason.
