VanLingo
I definitely will. I play SOCOM 2 a lot, and it wouldn't be the same without the headset.

italegion
i never tried to play with voice chat (why bf1942 doesnt support it?); how can you handle to speak with 32 players? isnt it going to be confusing?
Elite Jedi
You can elect a leader to speak.
Stingray
I hardly use sound blasters, but only my headset. No1 complaining about the music being to loud, and you can instantly talk if you are connected to a voice conversation program. I am definately going to use a headset, and if the ingame voice chat doesn't work out, I'll use ventrilo or teamspeak (for chatting with the clan)
Master William
No, I never use a microphone in games.

You don't speak to 32 players, you speak only to your team, 16 PC, or 8 console. I definitely will. I play SOCOM 2 a lot, and it wouldn't be the same without the headset. Me to I'm always on, my call name is BADGER: , send me an invite. I have never played BF:1942, but I can't believe there is not voice chat. How can you play as a team without comunication? Master William
BADGER, you can use programs like TeamSpeak, Roger Wilco, or Ventrilo for games that don't support voice chat. I'm glad for that, I hate hearing some strangers shouting a bunch of things. If they're gonna include voice chat, atleast include a mute button

I will not buy a game for online team play if it does not support voice chat.

THE BADGER:
I told you, there's Teamspeak, Ventrilo, Roger Wilco for voice chats. People use them for games, mostly Dude I don't play PC games, I will be using my PS2. Why would I use Teamspeak, or Ventrilo, etc.... Everyone that plays the game would have to download the software to chat. Not everyone will do that, so you will play with people that you can't comunicate with. And some people don't have there PS2 near a PC so TeamSpeak would not help at all. Now would it? i dont care if a game has voice support or not, TS/Vent i will use. Whats the point of talking in a public server if you know no1 will listen I can tell you guys have never played SOCOM 2. You only have 8 people on your team(16 for PC). You use the mics to comunicate on the battlefield. Why would everyone not litsen? You don't talk to 40 people at a time. Just whoever is on your team. 16 PC, or 8 for consoles. SITH_ShadowCat
I'll more then likely be busting out my old SOCOM usb head set for this game. I just hope that some servers are exlusive to head sets, just so I know were to go when I want to use some quick voice to voice tactics.
Tyler_Durden
The thing about voice chat is that a lot of times the team doesn't give respect to the C/O, therefore they go off and do whatever they want. I was playing a game of natural selection and this happened. Commander: "OK, everyone follow me, yeah everyone follow me, we gotta take all on as a team, follow me......PLEASE?" I can't tell you how hard i was laughing at that. When should the commander of a squad ever have to say "please"? somehow we all ended up following him, ent down the corridor and into a trap which no one survived, by the way. The team then proceeded to instantaneously KICK/BAN the Commander. Another example of when keepin it real goes wrong.
yaebginn
All I'm in charge of is the game. My bro has alot of online game knowledge, and we're just gonna get a $30 dollar headset from Best Buy or something.
gpete13
If your a PS2 users stick with the PS2 Sony headset. I had one from logitech and said works for consols, and it didnt. Nor did they have the product on there site anymore. They were no help. Just stick with the Sony stuff, they work good, a little more in price, but they work fine.
