Super Size Me...

He's obviously talkin about the movie Supersize Me by Morgan Spurlock. In the 'documentrary' ala Michael Moore, the director puts himself on the line when he only eats McDonalds for a month, does no exercise whatsoever... He wants to show why 2 out of 3 americans are overweight or obese

I havent'seen it though... I'm not that interested in fat americans... :p

Oh, right that! I read about it. He was proving how bad fast food really is for you...

Anyway, since this thread is pretty pointless anyway:

NEWSFLASH! Starwars kid revealed!

The mysterious starwars kid is actually a total retard that doesn't know anything about starwars and pretends to know everything abou ninjas, while his knowledge to that is equal to his knowledge of starwars. Check out his site http://www.REALultimatepower.com for more details, but be warned: Once you realize he actually believes what he's saying, you'll feel your IQ points draining with every word you read on that site...

Is it just coincidence that the US is one big fat A.s.s nation or can you draw the lines between its mass fast food industries and the mass mounds of flesh you call citizens?

5 of the top 10 fatest cities in america are in texas.

Man....I never wanna go to texas.

The doctors said...after 20 days of just eating McDonalds...his liver was akin to someone essentially drinking themselves to death...not to mention all the other side effects.(depression, mood swings, headaches when not eating McDonalds, lwoer sedx drive and performance, no energy etc etc.)

I would agree that not EVERYONE eats that much mcDonalds but there actually ARE.(which is very scary)

After a month he had consumed roughly 30 pds of sugar from his McDOnalds diet....thats just.....wrong.

After a month he had gained toughyl 26 pounds. More then 10% of his body weight.(whihc is NOT good)

All in all...its a good flick and it might just turn you off of fast food.(which is a good thing)

Sure, nobody only eats McDonald's, but a lot of people don't eat properly and don't exercise. But what's the difference between eating a certain amount of fast food in a month or in a year if you don't exercise anyways... Spurlock simply didn't want to have to do this for too long... he just wanted to shoot his movie and have impressive results.

On a side note, most of you will probably already have heared this but... The US government actually declared obesity as a disease ( linko 1, linko 2 ), I personnally find this very disturbing  and very funny  at the same time...

The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has formally rejected findings from a World Health Organization (WHO) and UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report which links junk food to obesity.

How can a responsible government come up with a reasonning like this ? Frankly I beleive it is simply a way for them not to feel guilty about thier lifestyles, health and appearence

So is drunk driving. But do we blame the liquor company? No.

I dont follow your reasoning, as we aren't blaming McDonalds for making Americans fat, we're blaming Americans who aren't responsible enough to eat healthy.

To a certain extent spurlock proved that it is addictive. Even the doctors said that the symptoms he was experiencing were akin to addiction.

McDonalds should be responsible for their product. They supply a garbage alternative that is just horrible to your body. This is just not exceptible.

I have a son and when he gets old enough to point out things he wants like McDonalds who do u think is gonna be the bad guy when I say..."sorry lad, you get to have exciting vegetables, not this stuff..its bad for you."....I think it will be me.

They appeal to kids in the hopes to get them roped in so that when they are older McDonalds will already be in their pants.

*vomits*

'The United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has formally rejected findings from a World Health Organization (WHO) and UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report which links junk food to obesity.'

I'm sure some $$$ was excanging hands in that situation.

and the ninja site realultimatepower.net is NOT from him AT ALL

It is, that's the discovery. It's actually a movie in wich he shows off his skills with the 'bow staff'. It doesn't make it less rediculous however, or it's maker less retarded...

it's not necessarily the mcdonalds food that is bad. the way we eat is unhealty. there's a difference between eating a burger and/or fries and eating a burger and/or fries for breakfast, lunch, dinner and between. and there is not a big difference if it's a burger or a steak then. people just eat too much and too much of the same stuff.

and you know why our kids are growing fat? not because of mcdonalds or "unhealthy food". it's because we dont teach them how eating "works" and should "be" like. it's also no problem to cook a meal for yourself (or togehter with whoever), there is no need to go to a restaurant or to order stuff all the time. so it's our own fault. because we rather do it the easy way instead of giving our children a chance to learn a real valuable lesson.

stupid, lazy humans. :dozey:

Frankly I'd rather not eat anything that..

i think mcdonalds food is more harmless than that of small diners. they are acting worldwide and the provide the same food standards everywhere as good as possible. a cheeseburger for instance goes to the trash after ten minutes. because they say it's not eatable then anymore. plus many many other different rules from hygiene to the ingredients quality. and no matter in which country i went to mcdonalds, the toilets were superb. no other "restaurant" could provide that except them. and the toilets of a restaurant say a lot about the rest.

and the risk that someone finds out they put something "addictive" in their food is way too high, compared to the costs they have because of their standards. the worst could be someone in america finds something like that out. but i just cannot imagine.

the only bad thing i can say about mcdonalds is that they dont say "we're like a sunday cake, we taste good, but dont base your feeding just on us!"

of course it's a common use that "food makers" (not the restaurants) put very small notes of certain flavors (like vanilla) in their products (catchup for example). it's not the addictive kind of thing, but you really get used to it and "miss" something if you come along another product without these certain ingredients. but it's exactly like you like the cake of your grandma best, because she knows that trick how to make it a bit more.. hmmm, y'know?
