joesdomain Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I personally would like to go into the hanger that has the Millenium Falcon in it. They should make it so we can board the ship and use the weapons like Han did when he was trying to lift off from Hoth and the snowtroopers were preparing their repeater tripods. Something like that!
Virtuosis Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 As long as you can blow it up it would be pretty awesome!
Virtuosis Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 I saw in a trailer that the millenium falcon was in the game, but it was stationary and it really didn't look like you could get into it. It was a command point.
Revlt Coranier Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 Have any of you played the Galactic Conqest mod for BF1942? In that you can go into the Rebel hanger and fly T-47s and the Millenium Falcon. GC has a sweet Hoth map, its big. And the Imps have TIE fighters, TIE bombers, and AT-STs. The Rebs have lots of trenches, Atgar 1.4 FD P-tower anti-vehicle cannons (the radar dish-looking ones), and Golan Arms DF.9 anti-infantry batteries (the towers).
Whoopknacker Posted August 12, 2004 Author Posted August 12, 2004 Yeah I ve played the Hoth on BF42. It is kind of cool but people would download the mod then it would fall off the face of the servers. I was hoping that it would be a good tie me over til SWBF.

What use would turrets be in a dead end hangar? Ok, it would be a nice detail but I rather have Pandemic spend their time at some more important aspect of the game.
JediJohn Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 Originally posted by yaebginn yeah, I cant wait to play with my lil bro and do speeder bike races, dogfights, and all kinds of things. this game will probably be fun for a long time. just look at asteroids. PBF Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 oh, just so u guys no, Rhen Var takes place at night. Somewhere (GameSpot?) I found a cool conceptual drawing that I now have on my work desktop: it's a nighttime, low angle shot from behind a group of rebels who are crouching in crevices as an AT-AT turns its head--its "eyes" illuminated from the interior--looking in their direction. It must be Rhen Var. Thanks for that clarification.
Virtuosis Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 The point of the turret would be to defend the command point!!

JDKnite188 Posted August 12, 2004 Posted August 12, 2004 I just hope it is big. The JA siege version of Hoth was a good map, but it was way too small.
Super Clone Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 The Star Wars:Rougue Squadron and Rougue Leader maps of it were ok. I think they should make it bigger for battlefront though.
joesdomain Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Big maps and lots of detail! I personally like the idea of blowing wind that causes the snow to blow and have snowstorms in the game.
Whoopknacker Posted September 11, 2004 Author Posted September 11, 2004 Wont it be kind of boring though for the Imps? Since the major offensive invovles the walkers and there wont be that many, what is everyone on the Imps side going to do until they reach Echo base. The map is so big that walking will stink and chances are that you will get picked off by a sniper.

The Imperials have to bring the walkers to Echo base as soon as possible, so they don't have to walk (AT-AT's are mobile spawnpoints).
