Admiral Odin
*Heimdall shakes his head* Heimdall: Lets get going, we still have a lot of ground to cover before nightfall. *Once everyone had collected their weapons Idona leads them out of the castle without incident. When they left the keep the sun was shinning bright showing that it was easily passed midday. Idona took them back to the edge where Idona and Svafa grasped the ropes and repelled down the cliff. Heimdall, Idun and Gerd followed with Gerd taking a little longer. Once on the ground they collected their packs and stored the climbing gear. While waiting for the others to get down from the cliff Idona goes up to Heimdall.* Idona: You have to get that horn now...so how do you want to work this split? Heimdall: I perfer to go alone. I'll setting a hard pace and only stopping for two hours per night. I want you and Svafa to take the group to the pick up point. If there are no delays we should meet up on the fifth day. Idona: Do you want to go now? Heimdall *glances at the sun*: Yes, that would be best. *touching Idona on the shoulder* I'll see you in a few days. *Heimdall slings his pack over his shoulders and sets off south east from teh castle. Briefly saying goodbye to Svafa, Idun, and Gerd*
Redwing
Aidan: Maybe this won't be so bad. We've got the map and the key, so once this battle is finished we can leave quickly... Before anyone else dies. Raschel: Misae was a Jedi. How are we going to fare better than her in the battle? Aidan: You're not a warrior, you don't have to fight. You could stay on the Asgardried... *Raschel stiffens* Raschel: I am a warrior. Even if I don't have a whole mess of supernatural powers like the rest of you, I am still a fighter. I always have been and I always will be. I will fight in this war. I will not be a bystander. If I die, so be it, but I will die as I have lived! *She stomps away before Aidan could do more in response than stare at her, mouth agape at her outburst* Marin: <So...how far to the pickup point?>

Deac
Orthos: Raschel, you've proved that enough to me anyway. BattleDog
Hal: If that were how the coming battle was going to be fought then I think the three of us would be quite happy in our X-Wings. *Turns to Idona.* Are we looking at another two day treck? Redwing
*Raschel smiles a little* Raschel: Thanks, Orthos. Aidan: I apologize... *He wonders what exactly vape and dupes are* Marin: *overhearing Hal* <What is it?> Aidan: ...Why are you glowing? *Marin looks at Hal, then at Aidan* Marin: <So are you...> *She was also beginning to glow with a faint light, as were all the others. The light quickly grew brighter, outlining each of them with a sky-blue aura. Even Ritchet and Tanara had a dim aura surrounding them. A blue beacon in the distance was Heimdall* Raschel: What is this?! Guy: We are being targeted. Aidan: For what? *Guy does not answer. He calls his ship from his transport's comm system. The communication does not go through* Guy: Too late. We are cut off. Aidan: What is going on? *Guy gives a strange laugh, bitter and disbelieving* Guy: This is not possible. *The arms of his transport extend and extrude cannons. As they shake off the spray of snow that had collected on them, it slows down and freezes suspended in the air* Aidan: What? What isn't? *A bolt of light streaks through the air from above. It impacts on Aidan's armor and knocks him to the ground. Hovering over the group is a large, gray ship with no floor, and sides pointing outwards at 45-degree-angles. Floating on glasslike circular-shaped platforms, twelve figures were descending from the ship, arranged in a ring around a group of cages in the center. Three were immediately recognizable as the attackers from Enoy: the huge being covered completely in gray armor, with glowing eyeslits; the lizard creature, and Guy's sister, dressed in white and gray, and carrying a white-glowing staff. With Guy's sister was a man who resembled her, as well as Guy, with the same build and light hair but darker eyes. He was dressed in black instead of gray, but wore a white cloak similar to that Eudoxia wore. He also carried a glowing staff. Next to him was an elf, wearing a satchel around her neck and carrying a short stick in her hand. Her clothing had faintly glowing patterns etched on it. Next to her was a man dressed completely in white, with a white trenchcoat, carrying two handguns. Next were two humanoids who resembled the elves but were taller, more muscularly built, a little more feral, and a little more statuesque in their features. Both were a dark gray-green in color. They appeared to be identical in face if not in dress. One carried a glistening morningstar, the other a long gun. Their eyes shimmered white like a gargoyle's. Next to them was a gargoyle, winged and tailed like Aidan, dark green in color. Surrounding him were three bulky, vicious-looking creatures that snapped like huge dogs on leashes. Finally, a light-skinned human woman and a dark elf with ash-gray skin stood nearest the cages. The dark elf had blue-green tatoos under his eyes and dark gray hair. He wore armor of an unusual design, resembling a mix between chainmail and leather, with plate attachments. The human wore a partial version of the same, with a long blue garment covering the rest of her. In one of the cages was a young, olive-skinned, short, dark-haired girl who was bound and gagged. In another was a light-hared boy who appeared to be asleep, surrounded by a green aura. In the last occupied cage was a gargoyle with wild white hair, aqua skin, a pronged chin, and an annoyed yet amused expression on his face. A thick band of white light flowed from his cage towards the Dark Elf, as if feeding into him. Caged Gargoyle: *conversationally to the group, as the cages descend* Why hello, there. It's nice to finally meet the real victims. I've heard so much about you. Funny, though...I thought some of you would be taller.

Redwing
((OOS: They're DEAD, Deac. DEAD! Or at least, that's what Orthos would think, since he doesn't know they got pulled off the Crimson Star. Um, I forgot to mention the twelfth 'outsider' is a yellow gargoyle with a long cannon over his shoulder.)) *The newcomers land circling the group, with the cages next to the dark elf and the woman in the ornate armor* Eudoxia: *to the Irvines, and Orthos* Shut up. *to Guy* It's over, Jonathan. You are coming with us now. *Guy doesn't answer. The man in black with the white cloak speaks up* Man: We know everything, Jonathan. We know about the conspiracy you made with your...our mother. She is a prisoner now, as you will be. We know what you were doing while you posed as a Shadow. We know all your secrets, there is no point in resisting. Guy: Kyrill. You too? What about dear old dad, and the others? Eudoxia: You little bastard! After everything our family did for you, you have the gall to directly join the opposing side in the war we've planned against for millennia? Blood traitor! Did you really think we wouldn't find you? Or them? That there was anywhere you could hide after what you have done? Kyrill: Our father is dead, thanks to your machinations. As you well know. *The dark elf with the band of light connecting him to the cages looks exasperated* Dark Elf: Could we hurry this along? Kyrill: Come quietly, Jonathan. At least in this manner you can atone for your traitorous actions with your death. And less blood will be shed here. Yes or no? Guy: Let me think. No. *He opens fire from the transport's arm cannons at Kyrill and Eudoxia* Kyrill: *dodging, and cursing* Very well. Aken, kill them all! Dark Elf: About time. *to the others* Go. *At about the same time, the yellow gargoyle opens fire at the three Aesir with his shoulder cannon, sending a stream of purple-blue pulsing blasts at them. The gray-armored tanklike being barrels towards Orthos, swinging his wicked-looking halberd. The elf begins to chant something and the metal stick in her hand begins to glow. The man in the white trenchcoat opens fire at Sir-Vin and Cracern, a gun aimed at each of them. The orcish twins attack Gortick and Ellela, one swinging her morningstar at Ellela, the other firing a stun-blast from her gun at Gortick. The green gargoyle releases his animals, who by now are foaming at the mouth, spittle flying onto their body armor and freezing in the cold. One leaps at Gerd, another at Tanara, and another at Matt. The lizard-man attacks Aidan with a long knife. The tall woman next to the dark elf shoots at Marin. Raschel, with no one attacking her, fires at the woman. The dark elf fires at her with his long blaster. She is blown back across the snow* ((EDIT: Everyone check the discussion thread, please. ))
Admiral Odin
*Idun chanted a spell a force field shimmers in front of her, Svafa and Idona deflecting the blasts ever so slightly so they miss.Svafa and Idona had drawn swords. and closed in on the outsiders, each had a grim smile on their faces. Gerd's red eye began to pulsate a dark red glow, in an instant flames wreathed around her body. Gerd drew the sword Heimdall had given her and it was glowing red and soon turned white with heat, as did her shield and armor. She charged her attacker, leaving behind her a trail of glassy ice.*

Redwing
*The elf, seeing Idun create the force shield, aims the glowing metal stick at her, and chants something nearly incomprehensible, with a strange, unnatural tone to it* Elf: Ashaneriskafilesium. *A stream of light bursts from the end of the wand and heads in a straight line to the force field. Once it reaches the force field it begins to bend, then re-orient itself in a rapid zig-zag motion. It hits Idun and impacts on her armor. Then, rapidly, the elf fires off two more spells, aimed at Idona and Svafa* ((OOS: The first is supposed to be a sleep spell, but Idun should be able to fight it off. The spells aimed at Svafa and Idona are simple force spells, if they hit armor they should just knock them back. Otherwise it would punch a hole through them.)) *The animal attacking Gerd leaps and lands on her mid-jump, sending the two tumbling. It lunges for her neck, aiming to tear her throat out, but is stopped by searing pain when its jaws clamp down. It jerks back with a howl, then tries to tear at her chest with its claws, but the armor confounds it. Matt's lightsaber strikes the animal attcking him with little effect, but the animal is startled by the sudden light burst near its eyes and veers off its charge. The man in the white trenchcoat smiles at Sir-Vin and Cracern, then raises his guns and opens fire on them again. Aidan tries to use his lightning on his attacker, but the bolts strike the lizardman's personal shield and fade with no effect. Marin breathes fire at her attacker, but it washes off her armor with no effect except to make it glow a bit. She charges the woman, but a well-placed pair of shots brings her dragon body down to the ground. Guy, using the targeting program of his transport, keeps a continuous stream of fire directed at Eudoxia and Kyrill, trying unsuccessfully to keep them off balance. Great bolts of light leap from their staffs towards him, smashing into an invisible barrier around his transport and shaking it. Ritchet is knocked off of the transport and through the environmental shielding into the freezing temperatures outside.*
superthrawn
((OOC: Sorry to everyone for being so inactive lately. My old computer fried, meaning that I've been inaccessible for a few days, and on top of that, fall break started at college, so I had to go home for a week. In other words, things have been rather crazy. I apologize that I haven't posted, but I'll work harder on trying to keep up in the future. )) Ritchet was shocked as he was knocked from the transport onto the freezing snow. For a moment, the cold surprised him to the point of being unable to breathe, but his instincts kicked in, and he immediately realized that he needed to get to a place of warmth as soon as possible, and it needed to be out of harm's way. So, with a slight pop, Ritchet disappeared out of this plane of existence. In the couple of thousandths of a second before Ritchet reappeared, he went over the battle scene in his mind, and one area seemed largely ignored: the cage in which the old Gargoyle was kept. Again, instincts served him right, and he reappeared once again on top of the Gargoyle's cage. he was pleasantly surprised to find that it was climate controlled, and would keep him comfortably alive. Ritchet tensed for a fraction of a second, and then relaxed with a sigh. He looked out over the battlefield, wary. He may yet be needed here. "Pardon me," he said to the white haired gargoyle, completely unfased by the latter's caged state. "Can you tell me what the hell is going on?" Redwing
*The gargoyle looks up at Ritchet and grins.* Gargoyle: Your friends are all about to die, that's what. *The gargoyle shoots a glance through the cage bars at the newcomers, with a calculating expression in his eyes. superthrawn
Ritchet's eyes widened, and he shivered for a second. Redwing
((OOS: I assume Sir-Vin and Cracern are using Force speed, otherwise there is no way they are deflecting so many high-speed projectiles. )) *The gray-armored man is bent by the force of Hal's blow. A dent in the shape of Hal's sword is left in the material of the armor. The gray-armored man straightens up and turns to face Hal, raising his halberd to strike back. The yellow gargoyle turns his pulse-cannon on Orthos. Gortick's attacker dodges the reflected blast* Ork: So, you can play a few games too, huh? *She tosses the gun aside and draws a long, wide-bladed glimmering sword* Ork: En garde. *Elella's attacker swings her morningstar in a wide arc, away from Ellela's lightsaber blade. Moving with great speed, she brings the weapon downwards and then up underneath Ellela's hands, intending to smash her grip on her lightsaber. The animal attacking Gerd gets up and yowls at her, then at its master. The green gargoyle speaks a short incantation and points his hand at the animal. A dim glow appears around its charred mouth, and the color of the flesh changes back to a healthier shade. The animal then closes its mouth, bares its teeth in a snarl, and charges at Gerd again. The creature attacking Matt bares its teeth and growls. It crouches for a charge, but is distracted by Sir-vin's sudden movement into its field of vision. The man in the white trenchcoat smiles and trains both his guns on Cracern. He begins to move quickly forward, closing the long distance between them, without firing. The elf spellcaster re-reflects her reflected spells. They shoot into the snow, creating puffs of white that leap into the air and stay suspended. The elf chants another incantation, and the tip of her wand glows with light. She points the wand at Aken - the dark elf - and whispers something. Aken looks at her, nodding. Aken begins to glow. The band of flowing light connecting him to the gargoyle's cage brightens and speeds up. In the cage, the gargoyle involuntarily tenses. The dark elf raises his arms. An immense sphere of light grows around his hands* The caged gargoyle winces.* Gargoyle: *through clenched teeth* So...unskilled...unsubtle...what an insult. *He looks up at Ritchet* Quickly.
