Maybe everything we do is useless, but I for one refuse to give up. DO EVERYTHING! They can't ignore us forever. Send requests to lucasarts every day, send them artwork suggestions for monkey island 5, start chain-letters, call their supportlines, make new fansites, register at all the existing ones, put the themesong on your mobile-phone, dress your kids up as monkey island carracters on halloween, get people to buy the previous four games..... It's in their blood. Basically, as much as we want another MI game, lucasarts won't make it unless they think they'll make money off of it, and us promising to buy it won't do that because frankly, there isn't enough of us to prove to them that they'll not only make back the money they spent making it (and we're talking thousands here) but make a killing off of it, validating the time spent on making it. Basically, they've started creating two potentially good advbenture games in the past 2 years and cancelled both of them, because of that, we've just lost faith in them making anything more than overblown crappy Star Wars games. The fact that they rehashed the insult sword fighting (Without actually rehashing it!) was tiresome. It was a beautiful game graphics wise, wonderful music, some decent characters and some great gags. The script could never be as detailed because they had to use voice instead of text based narritive. The above was in relation to CMI. I personally like them, not half as much as the others, but I still liked them. Not really, anything you state as fact needs to be backed up by evidence, but things stated as singular opinions don't really need to be backed up at all, it could just be a general feeling that he got from the games that he can't describe. The post you're referring to is not the same one I was. But just for the sake of argument, saying "for me" doesn't really make what he's saying any more opinionated. Any statement like that should be assumed as opinion; would you accept anything someone writes as fact without the inclusion of "for me?" In any event, I did not intend to cause this kind of bickering, so I'll shut the hell up regarding this particular issue. To get back on topic: I think that CMI and EMI, while certainly a different approach to the series than the first two, are great games (for me). CMI was ok, but i didn't realy like the story, it's a bit stupid. I can't say anything about EMI yet, becaus i'm playing it at the moment. Ok i can say, i think ron gilbert never planed that guybrush and elain may mary. and i hate the control of the game, becaus i realy like click and point adventures, but all this walking and usong the keyboard all the time, naa. It's not realy the adventure feeling, and all this only becaus of the 3d grafik:rolleyes: . Maybe someone her knows the "dogma" rules. i don't think game desiners should great games like the wishes of that crazy freak witch wrote the dogma, but i think, adventures should stay at 2d grafik. one more example: the indiana joens games. ok indiana joens 1 wasn't a adventure, and i never played indiana joens 2. but i got the 3 and the 4 part of the row, and they are realy good. Then Indiana Joens 5 apears and this game isn't as half as good as the 3 and 4 part. it's a bit like jump and run with all these climbing and all this stuff. but i'm loosing the topic. Anyway, i will never give up the hope for an MI5 untill lukas arts finaly disapears. i only remember the sentenz of the voodoo lay in EMI: "and i got an contract with lucas arts for 5 games."
