20 minute video of some aussies who got a hold of the 99% complete version of Battlefront at some sort of expo. Anyways, a Pandemic representative confirms that PS2 will hold 16 human players plus bots, Xbox will hold !!!24!!! human players with bots, and PC with 32 humans + bots. There's also some AWESOME footage.

 

 

(Oh yeah, AT-AT confirmed drivable for you skeptics.)

Now that video has just trippled my expectations (as if they weren't high enought so far). The leap in graphics between older footage and this almost-finished build is incredible, lightning effects are top notch. Same goes to bump maps, textures and animations. Every presented map gives 100% climax of the battle seen in the movies.

 

Too bad I got two exams to pass before I can play the game :(.

the movie is GREAT. Graphics look a Helluvalot better, and seeing those big animals with the shield generator in naboo plains had me jumping

 

I'll take some screenshots for those that dont want to see a 20min 80mb file

Those are historic campaign missions presented in the video, so the choice is defined by continuity.

 

Forgot to express how surprised am I with quality of the menu. I prepared for something like in PS2 demo but it seem's that we'll get one of best main menues recently seen in a game :).

I think special units come in selected few of levels, but overall, this game looks SPLENDID! the battles are perfectly spectacular, naboo looks awsome...

 

funny to see how that droid stopped next to him and flipped a health-pack out :D

Just finished downloading and watching it... Amazing!

This has got to be the best footage so far! This also looks 10 times better then the PS2 demo.:eek: The main menu alone deserves my $50, it looks amazing. The AT-ATs looked like they were taken out of the movies and thrown into this game, almost as if they were prerendered. This movie seals the deal completely, any doubt I had has been wiped and repleaced with pure amazement.

Yeah main menu is awsome. You just have to remember the PS2 demo is a really old version of the game im sure they went back and changed many aspects. That was awsome footage though.

I saw the 20min footage and its awsome the graphic are great!!:eek::D

 

 

I whant to know in the footage the part with the droid on Naboo,it is on historical battle or conquest ??

Awesome Aussies. That was very cool indeed. Thanks for the video. No wonder so many details are being kept under wraps because it really does exceed the expectations that I had as well. I thought it was great.

:drop2: :drop2: hoth looks amazing...i wonder what the competition's gonna be like to be one of the 2 atat drivers. the gameplay looks 5x better than what i was expecting, especially in SP

 

i can just see trying to take those atat's down w/o tow cables...you'd be there all day.

finally a star wars game where you have to change clips! that has to help gameplay immensely (unlike JA where you could unload 400 rounds from a heavy repeater w/o pausing

In the second video the guy says "It supposrts over 16 players on all consols." and they did bump X-Box up to 24 maybe they did for PS2 as well.... But the footage was from when they gave a preview of X-Box, which means there must be one of the PS2 and PC somewhere possibly.

PS2 will still be 16, maybe more with deticated servers. The X-box's numbers were beefed up because during testing, the devs saw that the X-box could handle alot more then 16, they mentioned it on the video.
