I just got the latest SW Insider, and it featured *their* top 10 OT moments.

Here are mine:

 

My personal criteria are the impact that they had when first seen, as well as lasting impact and appeal.

 

10 - Sail Barge Assault (first real Jedi kick-butt moment)

9 - I love you ... I know (both times )

8 - I am a Jedi, like my father before me ... now, young jedi, you *will* die ...

7 - Dagobah Cave fight

6 - Yoda on Dagobah

5 - Appearance of Darth Vader

4 - Luke turns on the lightsaber.

3 - Final Duel between Vader & Luke (incl. awesome music)

2 - The opening crawl and Blockade Runner assault

1 - I am your father ... I was so blown away in 1980.

1. Luke vs Vader in RotJ

9 -"We're fine. We're all fine.. here.. now. Thank you. ....How are you?"

8 - "I think you got me stay because of the way you feel about me" "The way?... why you stuck-up ... half-witted ... scruffy-looking ... nerf-herder!!!"

7 - when the ewok steals the speeder bike.

6 - "Apology accepted, captain needa!"

5 - when Han walks in the room in Bespin to find Vader

4 - "i don't believe it" "that is why you failed"

3 - "your powers are weak old man!"

2 - "So be it! Jedi!" "Father! Please!"

1 - "I, am your father!"

In no particular order...

 

1) Ewoks destroying the AT-ST with a stolen one.

2) Tripping the AT-AT with the cable

3) Leia revealing herself as the bounty hunter

4) Yoda lifting the X-Wing

5) Han saving Luke in the Death Star trench

6) The revelation of the trap in the 2nd deathstar space battle.

7) "Laugh it up, fuzzball" (and Leia kissing Luke to spite Han)

8) Chase in the Asteroid belt

9) The sailbarge battle

10) Vader revealing that he's Luke's father

10) Yoda, in general

 

9) In a New Hope when the Star Destroyer first goes past the screen, it just kept going.

 

8) Han Solo on the Death Star "We're fine. We're all fine... here... now. Thank you... How are you?"

 

7) Jabba Sail Barge assault

 

6) Yoda and Luke after Yoda lifts the X-Wing. "I don't believe it" "and that is why you fail..."

 

5) Han saving Luke in the Death Star trench run, "YEEHAW!!!"

 

4) "I am a Jedi, like my father before me." "So be it..."

 

3) Han running into loads of Stormtroopers on the Death Star.

 

2) Final duel between Luke and Vader in RotJ.

 

1) "Luke, I am your father"

9 - The Death Star.

8 - I am a Jedi, like my father before me ...

7 - Chewbacca and Han Solo, nuff said.

6 - Yoda on Dagobah

5 - ewoks ( i was 5, they looked so awesome, like ass-kicking teddy bears that don't take **** from noone)

4 - Luke turns on the lightsaber for the first time in ANH. I was blown away.

3 - Leia being announced as Lukes sister. (OMG PLOT TWIST!) and the Luke-Vader fights.

2 - I am your father

1 - Appearance of Darth Vader. ( he was the epitome of bad guys, larger than life)

once he came on screen I was hooked for life.
