El Virus Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Which are your all time favourite movies, those you never get tired of watching or those movies you like. This are the movies I like: (Not in order) 2001: a space odyssey The thing The godfather 1&2 Í Comme Icare 21 grams Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo The great escape Casa Blanca The Maltese falcon Sunset Boulevard Metropolis (1928 version) Others (I always feel like I have missed something, so I'm just going to put this until I come up with another good movie)
VampireNaomi Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Here are mine: * pretty much everything wit Al Pacino * Casablanca * um... did I mention Pacino's films yet? * Airplane! * Kung Pow - Enter The Fist (believe it or not) I don't watch moves that much, and I rarely find anything I really like.
El Virus Posted October 31, 2004 Author Posted October 31, 2004 Pacino did some good movies. I recommend you to watch 2001, either you love that movie or you hate it.
JofaGuht Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 My Faves (my very few ten out of tens, and some nines) Brazil Memento Almost Famous Run Lola Run Waking Life Once Upon a Time in the West (which in my opinion is waaay better that Good, Bad, and Ugly) All three Matrix films. I think I'm the only person in the world that loved the sequels as much as the first. Some close calls to the list are Motorama, Eraserhead, Mullholland Drive, 25th Hour, and One-hour Photo.
El Virus Posted October 31, 2004 Author Posted October 31, 2004 Brazil is such a great movie, infact I saw it again last week,I'm not sure why I didn't include it, I love sci-fi. By the way, never got to see "once upon a time in the west", but as far as I'm concearned, "The good the bad and the ugly" is great. I loved DeNiro on Brazil.
JofaGuht Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Good, Bad, and Ugly is great but Once upon a Time in the West is excellent. Plus, I'm really not a big Clint Eastwood fan. I think he's kind of flat
Sanspoof Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 * Sleepy Hollow * Goodfellas Um... I can't think of any else.
El Virus Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 Brazil is a british (I think) Sci-fi movie, it's great: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0088846/ Goodfellas you said?, I loved it.

It takes places in an uber-beaurocratic future where you have to pay insurance on your own executions, and can't get any work done on ducts if you don't have a 27B-6. It's worth seeing.
VampireNaomi Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 Oh, it has Robert DeNiro in it. That's a reason good enough to see it.
neon_git Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 why has nobody mentioned Blade Runner yet? or The City of God? I'll probably think of some more later
El Virus Posted November 2, 2004 Author Posted November 2, 2004 You see I always forget things, Blade Runner Farenheit 9/11 The Big Fish (Note: the fact that I have included a lot of movies, doesn't mean they are all my favourite, but I'm too uncertain about my decissions)
neon_git Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 well, because i have no life, i made a list, although i probably still left some out. The Italian Job (the original, obviously) The Blues Brothers (the first one, obviously) Pulp Fiction Reservoir Dogs Blade Runner The Godfather Trilogy 12 Monkeys Brazil Being John Malkovich (i know i spelled it wrong, shut up) Judge Dredd (i know, i know, but i'm a fanboy, what can i say?) Brain Dead Bad Taste Toy Story (1 + 2) Shaun of the Dead The Parole Officer The Hole Love Actually Pirate of the Carribean Last Man Standing Spinal Tap
El Virus Posted November 11, 2004 Author Posted November 11, 2004 Most of them are nice picks, I share some of your likes. By the way, I forgot to ad "Bowling for Columbine"
Shuz Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Some movies off the top of my head: Angels in America (actually a 3 part tv miniseries) Clue: The Movie Napolean Dynamite Big Fish Kung Pow (funniest movie ive EVER seen) Spellbound
VampireNaomi Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Quote Originally posted by Shuz Kung Pow (funniest movie ive EVER seen) Yes! Finally someone who agrees! Most people think the movie sucks, but I just can't get enough of it. I love Betty!
Necroman Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 Holys***, El Vius, I can't believe you got "THE THING" by John Carpenter. But I got: -Evil Dead(trilogy) -Hellboy -Spawn -A nightmare on elm street -Bride of re-animator -It -Dreamcatcher -They Live -Jeepers Creepers -Tank Girl -Blade Runner and that's just the beginning...
neon_git Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 hmmm ... spawn, tank girl, hellboy ... a fellow fanboy perhaps? although it has to be said, i thought both the spawn and tank girl movies sucked. especially spawn. i mean seriously, that's in the running for the worst film ever made. seriously but then i like the judge dredd movie, which is also in the running so ...
Necroman Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Hey Neon_git, Spawn won the best effects award in 1997.And it's based on one of the most sold comicbooks. So the only thing that sucked were the actors.
El Virus Posted November 13, 2004 Author Posted November 13, 2004 The Thing is a great movie, I have watched it many times. I trying to get the poster, but it's pretty hard. The game was released two years ago. By the way, I have seen Clue, it's a nice movie.
neon_git Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 i know and love spawn the comic and animated tv series. the secial effects were prety good for the time however, good effects and and good souce material does not necessarally mean a good film. pretty much everything else about the movie was rubbish. however everything i've said can equally be applied to the judge dredd movie which i love (apart from the animated tv series bit, which i think was planned but never made).
JofaGuht Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Dude, I forgot about Labrynth! Labrynth is definitely one of my favorite movies.
