Lady Jedi Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Wasn't this movie supposed to be wide-released in November? Because it still hasn't come out anywhere in my area. Does anyone know what cities (in the U.S.A.) that it was to be released in? I was really looking forward to this one... If anyone doesn't know what the heck I'm talking about, it is this movie
wassup Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Yahoo! says it was released around the areas of LA and NY only, the movie is out in some of the theaters in my area (San Diego). Check "Showtimes & Tickets" to see if it is in yours.

And on yahoo it says that there are no showtimes in my area. Oh well, I suppose I'll wait for my town to get it (if ever), or just catch it on DVD.

It was supposed to be released on the 26th of November here but it didnt come out. Now it is coming out 26th of December.

Wow! And it's not about Peter Pan, it's about J.M. Barrie (i think). It just looked like a good movie, you know? Kind of like "A Beautiful Mind". And Johnny Depp is definately a plus. Of course I've only ever seen him in 'Pirates of the Carribean', but that was enough. So now you can continue thinking that I'm cool. LJ

Lady Jedi Posted December 18, 2004 Author Posted December 18, 2004 Thread Revival Time Well, Finding Neverland finally got to a local theatre, and I have to say, it was worth the wait. I went to see it with my older brothers as well as my sister and a friend. My brothers went into it with a "This very well could suck, and I hope it's worth our time" kind of attitude and left saying "Man, that was pretty good" It was perfectly cast. Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet were both excellent, Dustin Hoffman makes up for being in the atrocity that was 'Hook', and I don't know who played the little boys in it, but they were all great. Espescially Peter. That boy has some of the deepest eyes I've ever seen. I don't normally cry at movies, but when that kid cried I was pretty choked up. It's got a really sweet feeling to it, plenty of laughs, and as I said before, it got me a bit choked up. I appreciate that they didn't try to throw in some cheesy love story, either so that's +2 points in my book. Bottom line: Great movie. I'd reccomend it. Sorry 'bout the long post, and for unleashing this ancient thread, but it had to be done.

I was one of the brothers who went in saying "This very well could suck, and I hope it's worth our time" I thought it would be an average chick flick that provides more eye rolling cringe moments than actual interest for me. But I was really pleasantly surprised at what a good film it was. So, to all you guys avoiding it, make yourselves seem like the sensitive catches that you know you are , and go see it. You won't be disappointed.
