Things That edlib Never Expected To Learn When Starting To Participate In This Thread, But Did, And Now Cannot Forget; Number 573:

That Keyan will freely admit to having gi-normous freak legs.

Never saw that one coming.

Uhh,.. yeah.

I'm starting to think that there might be such a thing as knowing TOO much about each other...

;)

Alright,.. I've been neglecting my duties...

5/14/05

Looooooooong day at work. Had to be in at 8am, didn't leave until after midnight, with only a half-hour break during the day.

In the morning we had a commencement ceremony for a neighboring college. Lotsa hot chicks there! Very few guys! I think I went to the wrong college...

At night we had a giant Albanian music and dance festival. Not much to say about that, except the music reminded me of Yngwie Malmsteen for some reason. All the same chord progressions he uses. I never would have guessed...

5/15/05

Had to go into work early again. Another (different) college commencement. Fortunately I got out of work pretty early. Stopped on the way home and picked a huge order of Chinese food, enough to last me the rest of the week with leftovers.

Started watching some of the DVDs I bought a few weeks back.

First I watched "Ocean's 12" (Meh... not as good as the first. A bit harder to follow. Cathrine Zeta-Jones was the best thing about it. I'll watch her in ANYTHING!!! Have I already said that?!??)

Then I watched all the special features and the commentary to "A Bug's Life" (My least-favorite Pixar film to date,.. but still really good. I already had a DVD of it, but not the special-feature one. I'll have to give the other copy away.)

5/16/05

Felt lousy all day. Took the day off and stayed in bed all day. Bleah.

5/17/05

Put in a partial day at work. Did a little maintenance, but that was about it.

Still didn't feel too good, and went back to bed practically as soon as I got home.

5/18/05

Felt better. Put in a full day at work. Got home, watched the news and "Battlefield Britian."

Now I just have to decide if I want to fight the crowds and see Star Wars this week, or wait until the weekend, and see an early showing on Saturday or Sunday, which shouldn't be too packed. I think Sunday will be soon enough. I definitely want to see it with digital projection though... no more foolin' around!

I really should order the ticket online now though...

I got my new baby... My custom-milled Ca$h Money Makr Impulse was delivered earlier today, and it's the sexiest hunk of green aluminum I've *ever* seen in my life.

Sadly, however, in order to keep the man and his many bill collectors at bay, I need to sell my old backup Impulse, and since I've made a habit lately of turning this place into my personal B/S/T forum when I'm in need of money, here we go again!

The marker itself is in great shape, with only a few very small nicks on the body. The back of the ram housing and the buttom of the gas-thru are a little scratched from the one time I had to get them off with a pair of pliers (was at the field and didn't have a big enough wrench).

It comes equipped with the Wicked Air Sportz Equalizer board/eye electronics system, 12" Smart Parts Progressive barrel, and blade trigger

Asking $300 + shipped.

Sorry, Nitrous, ol' chum... really don't have any need for something like that, otherwise I'd be glad to snap it up from you in a heartbeat.

5/19/05

Quiet day at work,.. quiet day at home.

Nothing exciting could have happened, since I honestly can't remember anything I did that day.

5/20/05

Took another day off. Now's the time to do it, between semesters. I may not get another chance for a while once the summer classes really kick into gear.

Did some much needed housecleaning,.. and not much else.

Sleeping and watching TV were about the only other things I got to that day,.. athough I did have quite a few items on the agenda.

Oh well...

5/21/05

Spent the entire day doing laundry, at least 10 loads, and still not done!

More housecleaning as well.

Bought my Ep. III tickets online today... Noon tomorrow. So whenever not busy with something else today, I tried to refresh the story in my head... I had SW DVDs running in the background all day.

Pretty psyched!

I had one hell of a weekend. A full report will be issued later on, but as a teaser, I did wrangle nearly five phone numbers from some girls, in under an hour.

Stand back, I'm a professional.

Also, I'm pretty sure I nearly attained nirvana during Revenge of the Sith.

I was at a wedding yesterday, one of the groomsmen in fact. The way things worked, i had one of the bridesmaids, a real cutie named Jen, standing next to me. I was her hero because I used my pockets to carry kleenex for her and every time she sniffled, i'd glance back at her and ask her if she was ok. I was a real gentleman. Too bad she's very taken.

I also drank about half a bottle of wine at the reception and was hilarious to watch. I was completely not drunk or even tipsy, but it was enough to get me to relax and have some fun. Too bad like all the girls I had my eye on, including a particularly delicious piece called Rachel, were taken.

I was in western PA and that Rachel is from Pittsburgh.

I also saw this girl Laura. I'd known Laura before, friend of a friend sort of thing, but only talked to her a few times. I last saw her almost five years ago. Turns out she got hot in the last five years. We talked, we danced, had a good time, got her phone number, warned her of "mysterious phone calls at 11 PM on a thursday because I was bored." So then last night I'm sitting here, pining away, and then I thought "wait...didn't someone tell me she was getting married like six months ago?!" Argh. It'll be like a week before anyone's around that I can ask because I'm not going to call her and be like "hey, you married or what"

Went to Ocean City (Maryland) for the weekend. Saw Episode III. Walked the boardwalk. Stopped in an arcade and played Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. I resolved to finally get through it this year (usually I don't bother continuing). I got through it in 7 or 8 bucks, but I lost the Darth Vader bonus round for some reason, though I don't remember any mistakes

Anyway, it was fun.

Saw Ep. III!

Wow! I'm now willing to forgive Lucas almost anything! Now perhaps I will sign that "Thank You George" thing that Wildstar posted a while back.

Did some shopping after the movie. Came home and watched ROTJ (the only SW DVD I didn't get to on Sat.) It was a nice bookend to ROTS to see Vader's fall and redeeming in one day. It also hightened the scenes where Palpy was trying to seduce Luke to the dark side.

I also watched the DVD of "A Perfect Storm." Sad. But the film made more of an impact on me this time since I read the book.

Also read quite a bit of the ROTS novelization. There are a couple of things that are expanded in the book that are rushed through in the movie that really help show Anakin's torment and why he made the decisions he did.

5/23/05

Back to work. Yawn.

Still nothing going on. Puttered around with some office work and a wee bit of maintenance, but really not enough of anything to do to keep me from getting bored.

It's gonna be a slow week.

Stoppped at the pet store an the way home and picked up a couple of cases of cat food and some new scratch pads.

Got home and took a nap. Mondays always kill me.

I think I'm in love... It should be illegal to look that good and do things men would kill to get their wives & girlfriends doing... Like qualifying ***FOURTH*** for the Indy 500, or turning the fastest lap of the field in practice.

Hey... is this thing working yet? Is it gonna let me post this time?

5/24 - 5/26/05

Some of the crappiest weather I've seen in a long time. Cold. Windy. Wet. Raw. Blah.

I shouldn't have to get up every morning and turn the heat on this late in frikken May! Last year at this time I had the air-conditioning going for cryin' out loud! And it hasn't stopped raining all week. Insane amounts of water keep falling from the sky. I guess I really should be glad it's not snow, but...

It's like we skipped summer altogether and went straight back to October or November.

On the other hand: with all this moisture my grass has never looked better. But the price I have to pay is water seeping into my cellar from the super-saturated ground faster than the sump-pump can get rid of it. I guess I'd rather have a brown, spotty lawn if I had a choice...

When the sun does finally come out I think the yard is going to go absolutely berserk. The grass will probably shoot up to 3 feet high.

I have the feeling that we are not going to gradually ease into summer at this point, either. It's going to go straight from this into 95 degees with ultra-oppessive humidity, passing nothing in-between. Oh joy.

So much for spring this year.

Work's been dull. It's still really slow. Taking Thurs. and Fri. off to give myself a really long weekend. Hopefully the weather clears up enough that I can get a few things done outside.

Might go see Ep. III again this weekend if I get the chance. Gotta go pick up the soundtrack CD soon, too...

Er... are we live again??!??

Hmmm... I guess it's a good thing we never bothered to do the "one-post-a-day" thing with this thread. We really woulda had to write the obit on this one now if that was the case.

5/27 - 6/3/05

A lot of stuff happened... I just can't remember in what order, and on which day. Besides, I don't really have the time to go into it all right now, anyways.

Maybe tonight, after work. I'll try to sort it all out...

Um... welcome back everybody?

Anyone?

Anyway, just in case you get bewildered by these forums being up again, here's a message to comfort you:

Good to have the forum back. I've been doing the same stuff as always - working, playing the piano, sleeping...

Finally finished Doom 3. I stopped playing around Christmas and started back up a week ago or so. That game is pretty, but VERY repetetive. All in all, I prefer Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy.

Busy weekened lined up... Dad and I got the boat lifted and rigged yesterday, and she'll be ready to sail hopefully after he finishes up tomorrow. Unfortunatly for me, the hot weather, as nice as it was, resulted in a full-body sunburn. I look like something out of a bad sci-fi movie.

Today will involve a haircut and $70,000 worth of sound equipment, the use of which will run well-on into the wee hours of tomorrow morning. I'm DJing a dance, then we're taking the rented sound gear back to the shop to record & jam with a proper PA... Promises to be an entertaining and exhausting night.

Sunday, assuming I'm not completly burned out from tonight night, will see me back on the speedball field, trying not to get my sunburned ass hit by flying 200MPH bath beads... Ahhh, the joys of paintball.

  • 1 month later...

Looks like we lost a couple of weeks... most of June, it looks like. I wonder if they are lost forever or whether we might get them back eventually.

Kinda ironic that the thread reverted back to these last couple of posts.
