GrimShadow
I read a few of the threads and tutorials here and decided to try my hand at modelling and texturing. This is my first model, so don't be too harsh. lol http://www.illusivedreams.com/images/kotor/1.jpg http://www.illusivedreams.com/images/kotor/2.jpg http://www.illusivedreams.com/images/kotor/3.jpg http://www.illusivedreams.com/images/kotor/4.jpg How is it looking so far? I especially like the emitter Wow, with so many new (and talented) modelers coming out of the woodworks, we're going to have to start auctioning off model numbers to use for TSL I guess we've got T7 and his tutorial handywork to thank (and I really do mean thank ) Great work GrimShadow! T7nowhere
It looks great, but you could reduce the poly count by eliminating those segments down the shaft. If you left it the way it is you could get away with it as is, But if you don't need to use the polys to make extrudes then its best to delete them. That shaft could be one segment. GrimShadow
Thanks for kind words, and T7; thanks for the tutorial on making sabers. Yea, I have got to work on reducing the poly count in my future models, its still under 1000, but only by about 16 polys, lol. On a second note, I did some touchups on the texture and gave it a weird name and its ready to be downloaded: http://www.illusivedreams.com/files/kotor/celestial_lash.rar Since I haven't gone into the scripting side yet (though I am a php programmer so I'll probably get to it soon), you'll have to access it through the "giveitem g_w_lghtsbr10" cheat (or KSE, if I remember right). Mav
Looks pretty sweet, but I would probably just add a couple of buttons or switches on the shaft somewhere, just because I think buttons and switches are SWEET (sorry I'll stop fantasizing about switches now)
