Dantooine mod

This is the total project into 1 zip file. put everything in your module folder. but make sure you rename 601dan.rim & 601dan_s.rim to something else first. all other files should be ok.

have fun and give me feedback on it. like suggestions, comments, questions.

oh one more thing you might want to finish the game before you do this. this mod has different npc's in 606dan.mod and 652.mod than the other one 605dan.rim and 650dan.rim. (door destinations were changed to goto these new areas 652 & 606)

p.s.

i may end up making 601 & 602 sepearate for the new enclave (the enclave for the end game) then use the 601 & 602 i have now and just use the existing 605&650 thats already in the game.

reason i have it all together now is so that you can see all what im doing. its sorta like a demo of a game. *

FIRST UPDATE!!

This is my first update on this mod.

 

1. i have 1 sidequest kinda working. it goes like this:

you walk to kunda at any time in the game. you see this twilek standing by the wall of the building. you feel like you know him so you go talk to him.

He says "I don't have time to talk but take this datapad and ollow it, but go alone" (you get the datapad) then he runs off.

then you read the datapad and follow its directions to a different location, bringing you to an old jedi friend from the war (that turned away from the darkside) he tells you that there is a sith lord on dantooine waiting for the jedi to return to kill them and you should go kill him before he can do it. so he tells you where hes at( i wish i could make him join you and help you) so you leave and go do the job then come back.

He then tells you "I knew you could do it, oh by the way this was only a test, it was a holograph with safty features removed. I needed to test you to see if you could handle the sith threat. I will now tell you that there are 3 sith lords that you must defeat before our galaxy is safe again............." to be continued.

 

so how do yall like it sofar? any questions? suggestions? input?

On voices i will probably cast voices for my mod. any volenteers? and if i do do voices i will need help on how to intergrade them in. like what the filename is called. and what program do i use.

small problem, i got my side quest rough draft done and i put it all in the erf builder and build it. i load in fine but all the models are gone. its like it doesn't see the _s.rim part of the files. i even tried extracting all the _s.rim files into the erf builder and doing that and still the same. not sure why i can't see any npc's or the turrets.

[shakes head]Are you serious? It's a sidequest mod. You don't need screenies for a sidequest. You read the description if you like how it sounds you download it. If this was a new skin texture then yeah screenies are more of a really nice to have feature. [/shakes head] :rolleyes:

 

Besides this is a Alpha release for testing and helping randydg out. If you want to help and provide feedback DL it and go for it.:p I'm sure he would love some good feedback.:cool:

the next side quest after this one will deal more with carth. i already have a rough draft lined out for it. he will join your group for a mission only then leave. as far as the plot im still working on it.

Sounds sweet. Although most people thought Carth was whiney, I always liked him. I thought his character was very realistic. I hope to see that mission soon ;)
