First off, it's bioweapons, not chemical weapons. Secondly, what's not "whacked" about a disease that suddenly (as in happening in just a couple of seconds) mutates people into hideous monsters. Where would such a disease come from? How would something like that naturally occur? Even if it were natural, might it not be useful as a weapon especially if someone already had a carefully guarded cure?

 

Why would starting to learn how to use the force and a lightsaber while on Taris be particulary whacked either (in case you didn't notice, jedigoku, that seemed to have been thrown into the "whacked" category)? That's where Juhani first met a jedi and Revan was amongst that group of jedi. It is certainly conceiveable that one might have journeyed to the undercity. I also seem to recall a Padawan mod or three.

 

What's not "whacked" about the Force and beams of intense light that shoot about a meter out of something that looks like a flashlight and then suddenly stop? Star Wars is the universe of the whacked. And yet it is fun and we like it that way. :D

 

Come to think of it, what is not whacked about escorting outcasts to the "Promised Land" (which according to the game dialogue is a journey that will take weeks) when Bastilla is due to be given away in a swoop race any time and the Sith are poised to bomb the whole planet into dust?

 

So in a game set in the universe of the whacked, I don't see too many ideas as being overly "whacked" and certainly not "useless" when they might lead somewhere good, just wacky and possibly fun. Naturally different ideas will appeal to different people and it is up to the mod team to decide what they want. (I'm not adverse to wacky ideas in business either.) Ideas, even if totally crazy, tend to stimulate creativity and spur innovation. Harsh criticism rejecting ideas out of hand tends to have the opposite effect. On the other hand, there is a time to cease idea generation and begin focusing on getting things done. Since tylerjk now appears to be the mod leader, the basic premise seems set, so further idea discussion doesn't seem to be needed at this time. I'll leave you all to your modding and await your results anxiously.

there for you can not get taught what you pc all ready knows they are just bringing the knowledge back out:p

OK, I am sure that not everyone is gonna be able to settle on a single idea,:rolleyes: so............

 

The idea is this:

you lead the outcasts to the promised land through another set of sewers and when you get there then the outcasts thank you and go in with you and then inside you meet a jedi who will teach you some things or at least tell you a little bit about the jedi and after that you can explore around the promised land and you find a door that is locked, you can search for the key and find someone you can bribe to get in or there is someone who gives you the key and once you go in there is the rakgouhl disease medicine to heal people and they are experimenting on making people rakgouhls and you can kill the people in there and get the rakgouhl serum and do anything with it that you want that you would normaly do in the game, but you would find it in the promised land instead of in the corpse of a sith soldier in the undercity.

 

Now, anyone who wants to work on this mod I will greatly apreciate their help, but as leader of this project and combining all the ideas to some degree this is the story like of the mod and the only way it will ever get done.

erm it has only been a day since tylerjk posted last:) and yes since he is the lead and I've pmed him the path we should take to complete this mod he needs to deside the next step all I did was tell him what needs to be done

The nose being big is part of the model, unfortunately, and I can't change that. Then again, I might add a bit of shadow to the nose to try and give the illusion it's smaller if I keep working on the Gaddon edit.

I can do voice acting and help with the dialogue (not dlg files, merely the actual lines) if it is required. My mic'll be useable in a bit and I don't mind a bit of writing here and there.

I'm afraid I'll have to drop out - I'm rather busy with other projects atm, to which I was engaged before I looked at this one, but hadn't really realised how much work there was involved in it. I'm really sorry, I don't mean to drop out like this :( it's just that I have a couple of really big projects on the go at the moment, including creating an entire new planet....

I'm here now. sorry everyone I couldn't get on yester day and was gone this morning.

 

The_maker: I really like that reskin of gadon, we can use that for the jedi that you can meet in the promised land. So if you can get him all ready to go that would be great then you can send him to me and I can place him in the module.

 

Boxah: could you create a dialogue for the jedi? I can make it if you can write it out. You can make it however you want like he can tell you about the jedi and stuff like that.

 

Jedigoku: can you plz make a script that spawns a computer right in front of the second entrance to the sewers after you talk to rukil with the aprentice journals?

 

I have made the first module that will connect the promised land to the undercity. Next we need some one to make a queen rakgouhl that would be awsome and we need to decide on a module that will work for the promised land. I think we said that manaan would work good so I think we should go with that.

We need some one to actualy make the outcasts walk to the sewers also, I'm not exactly sure how we are gonna do that but we need someone to start working on it. I know there is a tutorial that says how to make npc's walk way points or something so we need to do that, and also some one to change the dialogues to let you come with the outcasts.

 

So:

walk outcasts to promised land

edit dialogs to let you go

.:tsk: I did that reskin of Gadon. I've even updated it by adding shadows to the skin and morphing it a bit because you said his nose was too big. Want to preview the new version in case you want anything changed?

That’s fine with me. I was thinking of making it so that the Jedi is hiding there having left the order during the initial Sith/Republic conflict before Malak took charge. Now I always thought it odd that the PC would deny the Jedi order and have a romantic relationship in such a jiffy, so I thought that the Jedi could live there peacefully with a wife and child, which would give the PC reason to have a romantic relationship later in the storyline after seeing how it does not always bring the dark side.

I’ll give it a go; see what I can come up with. Are we still going with the theory that the Promised Land is a laboratory?

 

EDIT I need some direction on what you want the Rakghoul Queen to look like. I'm stumped lol

Sorry I got the_maker and boxah mixed up

 

what kind of modding can you do Maker? since boxah kinda has a lot to do you can work on skinning the queen rakghoul.

 

And for darth smaug could you work on getting the outcasts to go with you to the promised land? Like making them walk to the sewer entracne and edit the dialogs a bit so that they ask you or something to come with them.

 

Boxah thats a great idea you have with the jedi keep up the good work.

 

And I hope jedigoku can get that script for me soon then I will send the new module to anyone who wants to preview it and see how you like it.

um you do realize that inorder to spawn something I need and event to trigger which there is none that won't already have been triggered so get me an event and i can do it otherwise it is like telling my my computer doesn't work and leave it at that :)

 

and i need the object tag to spawn and any script is gonna have to wait untill i can put in a new power supply so my graphics card will work correctly because i need to ge the corrdinates of where to spawn the object

Can you use the dialogue with rukil after you find the promised land journals and bring them back to him?

And I just need a computer it doesn't really matter what kind or anything I can edit the dialogue with it after you make the script, and I need it at these coordinates 283.73, 112.72, 1.50.
