Stormtroopers is more of a Nazi reference, as they had those in World War II. Rebel and Imperial...yeah...that could go for anything really. The United States wasn't the first country to rebel... They were trained to infiltrate trenches and this earned them the name, "Sturmmann." For more information on the subject, I recommend you listen to Ted Nugent's "Stormtroopin'."
