"It's an older recording," ArC reported when Riebe answered. "Our informants say it's about five years old. The ship has been many places since then, but the place it visited directly after being at that station was Korriban."

"Great," Riebe muttered. "Lovely vacation spot."

"You're not actually going there, are you?" ArC asked. "I mean... you have the other group headed this way. What if they get here before you do?"

"Keep them occupied," Riebe answered. "See you around."

She turned to the men. "Ready for another trip?"

"Why the sarcasm, Curt?" Erica wondered curiously.

--------------------------------------

When the ship came out of hyperspace over Korriban, Riebe felt a shudder run down her back. She'd been here before and the experience hadn't been pleasant. At this time, she thought it best to keep silent and focus on finding the man they'd seen in the recording.

Craig chuckled, "You get three layers of protection from me. Not only am I a Sith Hunter, before that, I was a Jedi, AND a Sith," he said with a smirk. Then suddenly his expression changed to something more serious.

"I suppose there is another story to be told," he said calmly, then turned to the three women, and asked them casually, "Did any of you ever hear about a Jedi who trained at the academy who went by the name of Strider Flamehart?" He turned to Curt, "If you would, Curt, on your database thing, bring up his combat test records," he asked politely.

(When you do this, you'll notice this Strider had extraordinarily high scores in the blindfold test, setting records that were never broken by any Jedi in the temple after him.)

Craig nodded slightly. "If you notice, there's also a date listed when this Jedi was exiled from the Order. Strider Flamehart then left and learned the Dark ways of the Force. It was not long before he was not satisfied with the power even the dark side gave. He returned to the Order and sought redemption, and during a war with the Sith, he stumbled upon an abandoned temple, that gave him odd powers. He left the Jedi, and began wandering around the galaxy, taking whatever jobs paid him the most. He eventually became a Sith Hunter..." he slowly ended this sentence, "And now he stands here before you." He finished, clearly seeming to miss the adventures of his past.

"There's nothing out here." Commented Roma after they got passed what seemed to be the halfway mark of the canyon. Suddenly his hand shot into his pocket and came out with a blaster.

"Speed up!" He yelled, Martins complied, pushing the bike to full speed, suddenly from behind them there was a rumble and the canyon collapsed behind them, Roma turned around and on the top of the canyon walls he saw those responsible, eight of them.

Roma shot at them and four jumped down, lightsabers ignited, one landed in front of Martin's speeder and melted the engines, stalling it, the other one landed right on Riebe's.

Martins stood up, took out twin repeater slugshooter rifles and began at the sith, roma followed suit with his blaster.

Caitlin's jaw dropped. "You're Strider Flamehart?" she exclaimed. A smile spread across her face. "The New Jedi Order is beginning to find old records... you've become something of a hero among them. Young Jedi are still trying to break your records and none of them have even come close. Even Masters are amazed at your skill."

-----------------------------

Riebe backflipped off the bike and activated both sabers.

"Bad move," she growled.

One of the sith went after Roma, dodging both his and Martin's shots. Finally Roma exclaimed "Screw this!" And drew his own saber. It was a distinctive blade, with strange markings on the handle. The blade was a bright green, and Roma took the advantage of the sith's surprise at the blade to kill him, the other sith stopped trying to get to Martins and now came toward him, meanwhile the other sith that lept into the canyon approached Riebe also.

Craig nodded. "I had heard about them discovering old records from the Old Jedi Order, and I debated going back and telling them who I was, because I knew they'd recognize it. It wasn't a skill that came easy, I'll tell you that now. It was something that became an ingrown thing from my hatred of relying on my sight in a blade duel. If you can imagine what a room gets like after a two hour non-stop saber duel, the air is thick with smoke from the blades, on top of that you've got your own sweat and fatigue blocking your vision. I wanted to be able to fight unhindered by these, and eventually began to focus my efforts into blindfolded combat. I used to be able to walk around the Temple and even some areas in Coruscant with my eyes closed. That's something I haven't tried in awhile, it's been too long since I've focused on a large enough scale to view surroundings mentally." He explained. "Although if the Masters would like to speak with me or have me speak to the students about those records, I would be more than willing to," he added to Caitlin.

He turned to Curt shortly after, "As for sparring with vibroblades, I would, but while you use that I'd rather use my sword. It's not that I can't use equipment and weapons that I normally don't wield, I've just accustomed myself to the feel of it when fighting with only my senses. In case you hadn't noticed though, I do open my eyes when wielding fire arms. It's not as simple to calculate the correct projectory for a bullet or a laser from just senses."
