Ok, so I have so many random thoughts that I just want to start way too many threads on way to many subjects, I don't want to be the cause of downtime after the upgrade of the forum, so I thought, I would make a thread were anyone can come and be amused by my random ramblings, a whole new no topic thread!!!

I hope no one closes this before it gets interesting, so please give me a chance, who knows, it may be more fun than staying up till four watching Anime, or combining buritos and lighters, or even going on adventures with your "real" tiger!

So to get started, I got an idea for a whole new kind of game, actually it's more of a culmination of current gaming,

And it all started...with a Chevy pickup???

I was working with my dad on our recent project, putting up new gutter, and while waiting for him to caulk it, I got bored and started staring at his truck, a silver midsized chevy pickup, just a few years old, the boxy shape with rounded edges, flat toolboxes lining both sides, and ladder racks, and I was thinking about what gun turrests would look like on it, and how it would actually perform in a post apocalyptic environment, against other vehicles and ground troops, so I cam up with the idea of a new MMORPGFPSRTS...

Massively multiplayer online roleplaying firstperson shooter realtime strategy everything else I slightly borrowed from game.

*inhales*

The basic idea is something of a cross between Dune and battlefield two with storys quests character development and crafting of rpgs,

int the future, global warming from 30,000 nuclear warheads (what else can they do but warm?) has turned much of the surface of earth into a desert wasteland (large scale vehicle combat on dunes) where Oasis's are worth more than gold (BF2, and rpg cities) which are fanaticaly fought over by several rival factions for lack of a better idea at the time and not wanting them simply divided by the standard human stereotypes, the Dodge, Chevy, and Ford armies (because those are the vehicles that make up the backbone of there cavalry).

These factions fight over control of oasis cities like a much larger scal BF2, acquiring positives and negatives with each of them.

The cities themselves are usually safe havens with strong enough defenses to protect most noobs from being in an imediate firefight, but entry will not be restricted by programmers, wily spies can gain acces with a little bit of effort to sabotage and assasinate high level characters, these cities are where you'll do your usual chatting, getting quests, doing more than can be imagined with items and crafting, and whatever else you can think of, because the game will be continuously updated to give the fans what they want, regardless of market research (I just killed my chances didn't I;) )

Cities are the economic and cultural hubs of this new world and require an extremely large well organized army to conquer, but it will be possible.

Most of the action will happen at small outposts guarding wells across the desert, these are only small oasis and therefore have little defense,

THIS IS WHERE THE GAME GETS REVOLUTIONARY,

YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUILD ANYTHING YOU WANT from buildings to bunkers to simple plywood barricades, it will work similar to HL2's Garry's mod, you will be able to pick up an 8 foot long 2by4 and nail each end to a palm tree, and hang a .50 cal machine gun from it, you can build forms and pour realtime drying concrete into them to form bunkers, while the focus is combat Engineers will play a greater role then they have before because they will have more skills in that area, other thing along these lines you can do, weld steel plates in any way you want to anything you want, ala the A team's contraptions, games will no longer rely soley on physics but also chemistry, your outpost can now have Macguyvered traps that aren't pre built but are simply assembled like the game Incredible machine, use a jet propeled gas can to hoist a van in the air wchich will then swing away knocking all hostiles of an enemies assault bus, nothing is scripted these systems are endless.

Another high level physics and chem system is derived from the fact that in some way, staying alive is your only concern, death will have huge penalties instead of a fast respawn, so you'd better hope you clans medic has a degree because they actually must perform field surgery, cutting your character open, removing shrapnel, and repairing organs, even administring drugs (I know what your thinking here;) ) yes the drugs will have a trippy effect, low level characters may faint at the sight of their own blood and go into a coma, veterans however will be able to fight for consiousness giving the medic a legitimate chance to save your life.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, more tomorrow, centering on character development.

oh and just so you don't think the thread is mistitled, this is only the current rambling:D

All the hippies say give peace and this thread a chance!

Why did I actaully get the grammer right? heh heh, No, not an assignment, this is for fun, YOUR FUN:D I just get all kinds of crazy ideas and thought I'd entertain everybody with them, I'll update it as often as possible with random thoughts that I beilieve may spark debate, or at least give someone a good giggle :D

And while that isn't the threads' only subject...

BRING EM ON

The worst critics are the most enjoyable to entertain, and there flaming may just inspire me to think up even more crazy crap, and as for not mixing Genres they're just afraid of what they don't know, they need a good gaming revolution to make them less dull, they'll change their minds when everyone thinks they're retards for boycotting the game, after it gets Game of the Millenium reviews by people who actually want to make gaming better.

Believe me when I say this, they WILL pay me $50 to play this, but the main problem is I need to find a rich bubba here who's willing to front the cash for it, it will be the most expensively produced game ever, while only costing $30 ob store shelves, there will be a $50 and maye a $70 version for flamers of the idea;) and a free GOLD PRESSED LATINUM edition for it's supporters,

Most of the technical jobs could simply be given to holowaners, therefore increasing forum prosperity, while everyone here gets free beta testing HOORAY!!!

Now back to business, where'd I leave off,

Ramble #1 part b

Ah yes character development, Like most RPG's you'll gain experience and level up, we'll actually have rank names for all levels for all levels, kind of like the forum, the experience will work differently from KOTOR however because you don't get general experience, you must use skillz to increase them, skillz like your agility will be affected by wether you sprint everywhere and perform acrobatic and martial arts fighting moves or if you just sit in a shop crafting magnums all day you'll get fat (GTA) You will be able to learn feats just as in Kotor, except there will be about thirty times as many, and about 50 unique ones for each class, the classes will be a mixture of RPG and FPS staples, Sniper, Melee Juggernaut, Medic, Weapon Smith, Armor Smith, Mechanic, Commander, Squad leaders, Spies, Assasins, Civilians (players may be able to build their own houses and fight to death protecting their NPC family, then get bloody revenge when they fail) Pilots, heavy weapons experts, etc.

If anyone comes up with a great enough idea for a class, it will be automatically added and balanced to the other classes, as in Kotor, you can unlock class advancements (Soldier to Guardian) and after time promotions that will make you feared by newer players (Weaponmaster for example)

you can combine classes in anway you choose,

BE A private first class sniper, lietenant medic, brigadier general commander, or a seargent heavy weapons specialist, colonel squad commander,

The first level being NOOB GRUNT :D

Like I said before, you will gain experience in classes and skillz by using them, to use new weapons, you can't unlock a feat, but have to actually spend time on a firing range and be liscensed by your army in it's use, however if you magically slaughter a high level Heavy weapons expert, you may use his dropped Chaingun for a little while, but not being familiar with it, you will tire quickly, and fatigue will be an important part of any battle, the same goes for vehicles and non class armor you're not comfortable with.

Your character will be able to use the mousewheel to switch seamlessly from scope to first person to semi first third person (like splinter cell, the aiming of first, but with a better view of your current location, stealth, and damage status) and third person (for all out assaults where a wider angle is needed, and yes THERE WILL BE SAMURAI SWORDS, melee will not be limited to a combat knife or rifle but attack, similar to Unreal Championship II)

You will probably spend most time in first and third person, several problems I want to address here are Peripheral Vision, and Body Immersion, one thing I don't like about most first person games is the looking through paper towel tubes feel, I like the idea of seeing something out the corner of your eye (awareness and angle may be increased be destroying targets that you normally wouldn't even see, legendary players will even be able to attain a 360 degree full battle awareness, they have been doing it their entire life and have a complete understanding of the battlefield) third person will be widened and have view height increased as well, Body Immersion has been tried to greater extents by games like Breakdown (Awesome game, never finished because of sucky controls) but I want my entire body to be visible in first person, I even want to see my nose and look down at my taunting tongue:D the view will always feature the sort of two combined oval look that you see in real life, the borders may have optical implants to track health and whatever, but you will be able to play without them, you will always have to keep track of your ammo, unless an advanced weapon supports implants, as your peripheral vison increases, the "hud" information will slide to the center at the top and bottom of the screen,

the P vision may seem extreme at first, but it's to compensate for normal awareness which will be harder to implement.

That's all for now, I want to see what else is going on:D

WOW. I didn't even read most of it, I got to

These factions fight over control of oasis cities like a much larger scal BF2, acquiring positives and negatives with each of them.
But seriously, you make the game and I'll buy it :D. Keep up the lon and good work.

Edit: Okay just read it, scary. So since its an MMO, are you gonna be really revolutionary and make sure there aren't any fees?

@Ashley, what can I say, the dude's inspirational:D

I would love to, but I don't think the system current no fee games will work, because of the scale of the content upgrading, I would want to support not just my vision, but all other players vision of it's future as well, if there is a propagandaish view towards a particular character or sect, quests will be used to increase those ideas more, for example, if everyone starts to dislike a certain group of people the game will slowly change to make them more of an enemy, if everyone starts dislike a character, he will become more of a villain to them to satisfy their idea of how the game should unfold,

As long as my vision is still carried out;), but rest asured it won't be restricted to mine as if in a container, more like a long curving line, if that makes any sense.

so basically it will be expensive to mantain, so something will be worked out, needless to the payment system will be revolutionary as well, maybe actually being able to buy land with realtime money, but to give poorer players a chance, land can be possesed by anyone who can defend it.

@VLAD, quite the contrary, it's an anti-spam thread, I will limit more of my posting ideas to this thread, instead of starting one everytime something pops into my head, this way people who dig my groove can be entertained by something fresh from my brainland every day in a convenient location,

Kind of like a miniforum within a thread, the next new thing in forums, it would be cool if everyone had one, hmm maybe that's what those blog things are, but I don't know,

Just stop in and read something almost guaranteed to be worth it.

I just wish the flamers would show up already, I love having my ideas debated, so Mighty MODS, please let people flame me here:D, if the idea is to keep people from being offended or having their emotional state damaged, don't worry, I don't mind and it already is:D

If I was spamming, these would be quintuplet posts, eh?

Just a quick question, who was my only hater, I wish they'd post:D
