KOTOR V: The Force Plague

"Now look, are we going to go look on the planet surface, are we going to try to find the Sith fleet, are we going to help that watchamacallut planet, or are we going to sit here and do nothing?" Coryn impatiently demanded as he walked up the ramp with Soludis, Taa'la, and Scur. "We are wasting time every minute we stand here. The Jedi Temple just got raided by Sith forces. Aegis has gone off into the station, and has confronted some Sith Twi-Lek name Ulkus, some 'death bearer'. No one seems to know what that is, except for maybe Tysy, but I doubt it."

 

"To tell you the truth, I doubt the plague is coming from a planet. I think that maybe somebody in the Sith fleet is using it, perhaps aided by these 'death bearers'. I think that maybe the only way we could find out is to sneak into the Sith army itself. Either that, or lure the Sith someplace."

Ulkus stepped over Kharne's unconscious body and approached the med bay of the Myriad, after battling Kharne to the cargo hold he had kicke dhim in the face, snapping his head back and drifting him into unconsciousness.

Well the girl probably won't struggle when I impale her on my saber. I will be well rewarded for this...

Walking towards the Medbay he stopped in front of Tysy's sleeping body. As the crew of the Myriad turned a corner they noticed a stranger by Tysy's kolto tank. The Mandalorian pull out his blasters, the green one ignite his saber and the Twilek do the same as they crept up on the Death Bearer...

[Tysyacha]

...and within the watery depths of Tysy's kolto tank, the heavy

concentration of anti-midichlorian antigens was quickly being

overpowered. Overpowered by the intensity of its occupant's

strength in the Force. The kolto tank, far from being a benign

object now, glowed softly like a radioactive power source...

 

Do you really want to kill her? asked a warning voice

within Ulkus' mind. After all, she is a Dvukshotnaya, one of

the descendants of the notorious Tysyacha. Do you know what

this weak youngling can do? She is an Augmenter, one of the

few sentients who can improve anyone's power. The stronger

her master is, with or without the Force, then the stronger

he will become if this Tysy works at his side. Kill her if you

must, Death Bearer, but it would be such a waste to the Sith...

As Coryn noticed the stranger sneaking up on Tysy, he pulled out his Baragwin blade. Coryn lept at Ulkus, ahead of every body. Swinging his blade up around him he brought it down on the death bearer, who seemed to have had a moment of hesitation.

His blade twisting in his hands, Ulkus suddenly realised that there was a Hostile presence behind him, igniting his blade he brought his blade horizontally behind his neck, blocking the sword, his free elbow flying back to deflect a kick and he Force Pushed the young Mandalorian away. Looking at the small entrance and only exit he realised he was trapped. Kharne had woken up and was looking through the doorway behind Solidus, Taa'la and Coryn with a small smile only generated when one plays with its victims.

 

((Go ahead and kill Ulkus however you want. Doesn't matter to me anymore for him.))

(((Well, then, can I have dibs? I am trying to work out how Coryn becomes force sensitive. If so, BYE BYE ULKUS!)))

 

Coryn rolled with the force push and pushed off the opposite wall. Confident now that all the exits were blocked, he attacked the Sith with a fury. Spinning his blade, he got the same feeling he had when he had pushed that other dark Jedi away. He felt... Strengthened by something. Suddenly sensing a break in the Sith's defence, he drove him back. Why do I get the feeling that something is inside of me? That something is telling me what to do?

Coryn guided his blade with confidence, a confidence which the SIth exposed, twisting back Ulkus used his blade and shoved up, sending Coryn sprawling into Tysy's Kolto Tank, grabbing his lightsaber in a two handed grip to Coryn where he coul if missed, skewer Tysy, Coryn was torn as to how to deflect the blow. Suddenly Aegis' presence was in Coryn's mind, Cross grip to the left, swing right... now! The speeding saber was suddenly slamemd to the side. Ulkus, looking around he sensed the familiar presence of Aegis, looking behind the blocked exit he saw the mysterious shrouded warrior and knew that his time had come. Gripping his saber in a double handed grip at 45 degrees from the waist he looked at Coryn once again.

[Jedi Atomic]

Nom felt a presence of something in the ship in his mind, then his mind went blank. What the.....? What was that? Before worrying about it he spoke up. "Solidus can you follow me to the cockpit, some planet wants to aid us in the battle against the Sith. Do you approve since, I'm just the pilot?" He started walking to the cockpit, hoping Solidus would follow him and answer him.

Hurling himself at the Sith, taking advantage of his momentary distraction, he slammed hard into him. The Sith fell back and went down. Snarling, Ulkus rolled to the side and got up, but not before Coryn had flung his blade out and nicked him on the face.

 

Feinting attack, Coryn jumped back and spun, bringing his blade back sideways toward the Sith's chest. It was deflected, but not before Coryn planted his foot in Ulkus's face. Ulkus staggered back, blocking off more of Coryn's blows.

"Go to the planet. However don't rush into battle. We are going to execute a sabotarge mission. And if we have the time we are going to capture the captain of that ship!"

 

Solidus launched a powerfully Force storm attack at Ulkus witch weakened him more "Coryn! NOW! End the fools perfectic life!"

The two locked weapons, Ulkus's blood red saber against his Baragwin Assault blade. Grabbing Ulkus's saber he looked angrily at the twi-lek. Kneeing him in the chest he yanked the blades away, and moved in on Ulkus. As Coryn swung them both up and came down, Ulkus raised his hand, trying to force push Coryn away. Coryn instinctively raised his hand to block the push, and did. He was not thrown back, he used force push against the dark Jedi.

 

Feat Gain: Force Sensitive

 

Drawing his weapons up he sliced through Ulkus, wounding him. Filled with a rage, Coryn lept toward him and attacked.

Aegis was pleased as he watched the rage filled Coryn hack away at the almost cowering Ulkus. Entering Ulkus' mind he gloated.

 

Pathetic Bearer, did you truly think you have such power enough to destroy us? You have severely overestimated your skills fool. And for that you shall die....

 

Aegis turned and headed towards his room as he heard a scream and a dull thunk from a body hitting the floor. Coryn slowly exitted the room, turning aorund Aegis looked Coryn in the eye.

Lightsaber.Was all Aegis meant before turning back and shutting the door to his room.

Verack was in a fine rage as he turned his back from the holo-projector, having finished going over his plans with Sinister. Even as he spoke, he felt the plauge weaken and one of his servants torn from him. Ulkus you damn fool!

There was a hiss as the doors on the opposite side of the bridge opened and Isleana stepped in.

"One of your comrades are dead." Verack said, not needing to turn towards her, "Do you know of this?"

[Jedi Atomic]

He quickly folowed Solidus to the fight scene. After waiting for Solidus and Coryn to finish killing Ulkus he stated, "Yes. But... What should I take to get to the planet?" He waited for Solidus to answer him while following him through the Myriad.

"Yes master," Replied Islena coolly, "It was not unexpected as I recently felt my old master's presence once more. I knew he would engage Ulkus and when he did it would begin Ulkus' downfall."

"Nothing. Just launch the ship. My friend on this station was donaited us several Plasma Charges. If we place them in the right we can disable that ship"

"Hmph, indeed. Ulkus was always too headstrong..." Verack said, gazing out the veiwscreen. "But I see that you have some type of connection with one of the girl's companions. Would this be the master you spoke of?"

"Yes ... master," replied Islena, rather reluctantly for Verack's tastes. "He has gained considerably more power since we last met. He has also... fallen as they say... I believe you would be able to feel his presence with your Plague as he is one of many dark warriors now."

The KRacken(Bridge)

 

Darth Sinister remained seated in his command chair on the ships command deck, he was, as always guarded by his powerful Trandoshan acolyte, Tretiak. Sinister gazed out at the massive fleet of Sith warships gathering under his banner. He watched as hundreds upon hundreds of Transport craft fromthe planet, loaded with his meta human super soldiers, made their way into the capital sheeps of his armada. "Its such a marvelous sight. Such a crisp clean feeling. The scent of war is among us, it can be felt through the force, like a violent echo." Sinister laughed coldly. "Thisss galaxy isss yoursss for the taking my massster. But I feel an uneasiness within the force, your....alliessss I do not trussst them."

 

Sinister snickered arrrogantly. "Do not trouble yourself Tretiak, I have nothing to fear from them. Cronus is loyal, and will serve the sith. I have no reservations about his loyalty. Brash, young, and fiery, a powerful combination for any young Sith Lord. I assume you refer to The girl Islena, and her master Lord Verack? Verack has his own agenda, but he will surve my purposes, for the sole reason of wiping out the jedi. What happens after this war ends, is a tale for a later date, a date when the future of order are all that concerns us, but for now, we fight under my banner." He states as he can feel Tretiaks eargerness, and rage. " Ah my fine reptile, I can feel your hatred for Islena swelling within you, There will be a time my apprentice,and when it comes, I will not stop you, I will watch and enjoy your marvelous victory. For now the Jedi and the republic are all that concerns me."

((Taking control of Valkresh now, TreeX...))

 

Valkresh turned from staring out at the surface of Vjun and let out a powerful yell of rage. When he fell silent, a soldier peered into the room and caught the eye of the Zabrak.

 

"You!" Valkresh boomed. "See to it that my ship is prepared. I'm leaving Vjun..."

 

The soldier scurried away, sure to do what he was told.

Taa'la frowned, staring thoughtfully at the dead body of Ulkus. For a few seconds, she thought she'd sensed another presence in his mind... a presence she hadn't felt in three years.

 

Giant Zabrak. She didn't know his name, but she'd defeated him once. It was a simple matter of tricking him and she'd thought he hadn't survived. This presence in the mind of Ulkus proved her wrong.

 

"Which means he knows I'm here," she said thoughtfully. "And he'll want revenge."

 

It was not a pleasant thought...

Coryn turned away from the dead body of Ulkus, seething. Looking at the blood red lightsaber in his hand he twirled it thoughtfully. Remembering Aegis's voice inside of his head, he deactivated the lightsaber and put it on his belt. Walking over to Aegis's bunk, he went inside, where the Jedi was sitting down. He knew that he controlled the force now; He could feel things he had never felt before. Ever since he had deflected that force push from the dark Jedi he started sensing things. Life forms, emotions, danger to him. He could feel the potential he had, and he felt powerful already.

Aegis did not look or turn towards Coryn when he entered. Instead he simply mentally spoke;

Power? You believe that simply you wielding the Force is power? Off the top of my head I can think of a dozen Jedi and Sith who would have no problem dispatching you. However you do have potential, surprising for a Mandalorian.

Getting up he turned and faced Coryn. You my Mandalorian friend, have an extreme potential for the Force, even Kharne only uses the Force for the lightsaber he wields. But I sense something else in you. Something... pure.

Cocking his head to the side, Aegis probed the young Mandalorian mind, Coryn held himself rigid as images of his past, yearnings, longings, hatreds all flashed in his mind. Aegis drilled his way through and realised that overall in his mind, the girl, Tysy showed up in several of his thoughts, from yearning and gentle to pure lust. Releasing Coryn he stepped back and looked Coryn in the eye.

Ahh... So you have the stirrings of love in you. Such a thing would be rejoiced for me had I not... fallen, now all I feel for you is contempt that you would tie yourself to one so weak as the girl.

"Now look here you schutta -"

Insults now Mandalorian? Careful, you might fall like me... Aegis stepped to the end of the room cackling incessantly before turning and facing Coryn once more.

Enough of the witless banter. You have come for a reason and that I believe is to learn to wield the Force. I Have felt the light, edge and darkness of it. I know what it is like, and you want me to part with my knowledge.

Aegis studied Coryn before speaking once more, I will part with it. But you in a sense will become my ... apprentice. I will teach you what you need but you will do well to guard your heart child from me. I fell to darkness for a reason but that is not to corrupt...The darkness does that one its own. We will begin our first lesson of the Force now.

"Indeed." Verack said. "And he is traveling with the girl...he could change our plans." he turned to her, "But that is no matter for now. Sinister is preparing his armadas for their assult on the Republic. I trust that you and the two remaining Death Bearers are up to the challenge of spreading the Plauge? You will be crucial to the plan until such a time as when I am ready to enter the galaxy myself. I can take Ulkus's place for the time being. And I trust that you are aware of our...plan for after the battles?"

As Scur landed on the planet he walked off and the Myriad launched into the air.

Scur walked into the base and waited for a contact from the Lamoreons. Suddenly, the screen turned on and the same guy from earlier started talking, "We'll be sending transports over to aid the Republic. Over." Scur walked to the hangar and examined all the pilots and soldiers walking around. He continued to the steps and walked up to the control room.

Islena looked up into the borring red eyes of her master and smiled maliciously, "Yes Master..." but in the back of her mind she felt a tingle of fear at Aegis' presence...
