KOTOR V: The Force Plague

Cronus looks down on his 7 Battalions of Meta Humans through a thick window of glass, yelling and roaring, the meta humans are given their weapons and the bands are switched on to control them. He signals to his controllers in back of him, to activate the motor skills, jedi powers, force sensitive, and combat skills.

 

"Upload everything to the bands, one by one, first motor skills, then force sensitive then combat skills and then last, jedi powers....O and also upload plan x to their bands and wait for my mark"

Sinister, are we ready to attack? My battalions are ready and their moral is huge, ahh, Tretiak, I can sense hatred of one of the Dark Jedi that we know, i sense it is not me nor your master Sinister, but Vereck or Iselna, hmmm.....I share that hatred with you, but i will let you have the fun this time around. I do not trust him, he will stab us in the back, witch is why i have input plan x into the mutants bands, this will give you time to get aboard and take Iselna and her master Vereck down. But back on track, the battalions are ready to go, they are awaiting orders to land and start attacking.

Verack frowned as he looked upon his apprentice. She was malicious on the surface...but fear welled within her. He came over to her, looking her straight in the eye.

"You fear. Why?"

"I... I fear Aegis' retribution. He may have been a Jedi by he is also very vengeful..." Shaking her head suddenly and abruptly straightening she spoke again " I am tired master, I will return to my quarters to rest." And with that Islena strode from the room and out into the corridor.

 

Verack frowned at her retreating form, shrugged and continued his work.

The Kracken(Bridge)

 

Admirall Krill approached the command chair guarded by Tretiak, where Sinister sat in malicious contemplation. "My Lord Sinister, the fleet is ready, we await your orders."

 

Sinister responded expressionlessly "Set a course for Coruscant, Prepare the legions for assault."

 

"As you wish my lord" The admiral saluted and made his way to the fleet comm, and gave his masters orders to the fleet.

 

The Kracken along with the enormous armada following its flag, entered hyperspace, their destination, The republic, and its final doom.

Tysy awakened from her slumber in the kolto tank. She sensed that the

heavy anti-midichlorian chemicals were wearing out, and so after dressing

in a modest Padawan Robe with a hood, Tysy rejoined the group aboard the

Myriad. It seemed that she had a lot of catching up to do.

 

"The kolto tank isn't working as well as I thought it would," Tysy told the

others, her soft blue eyes full of fear. "The heavy anti-midichlorian chemicals

are weakening. They shouldn't. Why? I'm just a nearly-untrained Padawan,

not a Jedi Master like Solidus or even Pravda. I've still got the Plague, so

if anyone has any ideas on how to restore the midichloricidal antigens,

please tell me." She anxiously folded her hands in front of her waist.

 

"What does 'midichloricidal' mean, Mistress?" asked a curious D-452.

 

"That means 'killing midichlorians.' For some reason, the kolto tank in

which I quarantined myself isn't working anymore. Maybe I shouldn't

have stayed in it for so long, but then again, the more I'm exposed to

Force-Sensitive people, the higher the risk that they'll catch the Plague."

 

"Maybe I should terminate you, Mistress," said HK-53, raising his blaster.

Then, after a moment, "Jovial Answer: Ha, ha. I was just joking. Perhaps

the best solution would be to seek out the Sith while you are infected,

because if the Sith think you are being converted to their side, they

might seek you out and tell you a few of their secrets. It's logical."

 

"Logical, but very dangerous," said Tysy. "What do you guys think?"

"I dought you have the full plague. Maybe the trandosians infected you with a part of it. It will, in time become complete. That's why we need a cure. And if the sith did make this Plague then they made safety procuretions. Thats why we're going to sabotarge a ship and capture its captain. First of all we need a plan of attack. Getting in will be the easy part. Its what we do when we get in."

As Coryn and Aegis strode out of their room Aegis heard of the conversation, Hahahahahaha! Fool! DO you truly think a Sith Captain will know about how the Plague works? If you hadn't been so blinded by your goody goody lightside you would have found how it operates already!

As SOlidus narrowed his eyes he asked, "Fine, Kel Dor, tell us."

Aegis shrugged and thought to them, The Plague is being operated behind one extremely powerful individual. However even with that power that individual requires key points to spread them. Those key points are the Death Bearers. During my battle with Ulkus I ripped memories from his mind. Apparently there are 4 Death Bearers, not counting the Master. I did not get much info except that besides Ulkus, there is a Human known as Genesis, a powerhouse of Force Powers. A Zabrak named Valkresh, extremely power in close combat and the last one is my former apprentice, Islena. The Plague is most powerful where the Death Bearers are, Tysy's infection has sped up more then it should in Ulkus' presence.

Looking at the gathered Force Adepts Aegis grimly went on, Expect us one by one to get the Plague. And do not try doing what Tysy had tried. The Plague acts as a corruption in the Force, shrivelling everyone directly linked to it, such machines wil have no effect. To stop this Plague and weaken it at the same time, I suggest we hunt down each Death Bearer, Aegis pointedly turned his head to face Taa'la, and I believe you know where one of them is.

"Nothing like a bit of hunting. I sence this has something to do with this Darth Sinister. If plague isnt neutral. And Sinister isn't a stranger in these sorts of thing. There is an oviously a bigger threat behind this plague."

Taa'la nodded to Aegis. "I know where he is," she agreed. "A gigantic beast of a Zabrak... never knew his name... Valkresh, huh? But forget chasing him. He will chase me out of an overdeveloped sense of revenge. His face is scarred thanks to me. He'll want to repay that and more." She placed a hand on her lightsaber. "And I'm itching for a good fight, so I won't object."

"Well then, lets go pay the Death Bearers a visit." Coryn said. "Since I took care of Ulkus, that means that there are only three. Should we split up? If so, I suppose that Taa'la wants to meet Valkresh herself, and Aegis would want to find Islena too. We just need to find where they are."

"Ulkus will be replaced. And I may suggest we get rid of his corpse. It's not good to have the dead body of a death bearer in our cargo hull." Solidus suggested "I'll go after that Gensis character. The name sounds familar, theres a chance I know him and could convert him back to our side."

Graothar stood there looking at them."I don't understand what they're talking about." he thought. "A plague Jedi get, Death Bearers, it just doesn't make sense to me. I should just give up. There's no way I can help." "You can help by figuring this out." said another part of him. "OK, first, I have to remember every Trandoshan I've ever seen and compare him to the one that KOed me." He started to remember the day his parents were killed. The image was clearer than ever. The words sounded as real as the conversation he was hearing. He saw the Trandoshan and froze the image. Then, he compared him to the one that knocked him out. "They are an exact match." he thought. He felt the anger in him rise. "HE IS GOING TO PAY!" he exclaimed. He grabbed the nearest thing(a durasteel crowbar) and twisted it into an unrecognizable shape.

"Not if he's also infected by the Plague he deals," Taa'la told Solidus. Then, she watched calmly as Garothar's outburst took place. When he had screamed his words, Taa'la blinked. "With that attitude, I'm sure he will... whoever he is."

 

"As for Valkresh," she went on. "I do want to face him alone... and so it is that I find myself leaving this group. Perhaps we can regroup later, but this is something I have to do alone. So we need to go to Korriban. I need my ship."

"Well then, Soludis is going for Generis, Taa'la is going for Valkresh, Graothar looks like he wants to rip Tretiak's head off, and Aegis is going after Islena. And that leaves the droid, Kharne, me, and Tysy. I hope that the Sith don't have replacements for these four; However, something is telling me that the dimwitted Ulkus isn't going to be the last member of his spot on the group. He was no competition at all... I wouldn't doubt that whoever is in control of the plague has someone to replace him. I just hope that person doesn't have replacements for everyone."

 

Coryn paused and started up again. "Well, now that we have figured out what each of us is doing, how are we going to find the death bearers? Talking about getting revenge on them is all well and good, but we have no clue where they are."

Eventually a dropship was spotted coming from space. Scur took notice and quickly told the Leader, "Don't fire that is the Lamoreons, They have come to help us in the defense of the Republic."

"Ok, just a sec." The leader walks back over to the comlink system, "Hold your fire. These are allies, coming to help."

 

Scur watched as many ships started coming out of space and spreading out towards hangars throughout the planet. As the leader of the Lamoreons came in on a starfighter signaled to the control hangar, he jumped out of his fighter as Scur and Rayce walked up. "Welcome, ...?"

"Lord Ganos Qualsiri."

"This is Rayce Farelle," Rayce shakes hands with Ganos, "And I am Scur Jal' Daan, and Welcome to Telos."

"Valkresh will come to me," Taa'la insisted. "I want my ship merely to choose the battleground. We are going to Korriban."

 

She stalked off toward the cockpit.

Aegis stared after Taa'la as she left the group. He thought to himself, She will fall with her current abilities. Valkresh had years to hone his skills while she had not had much action. She will fall unless she is taught the Master's skill and forms. But she has chosen to do this alone... I do not doubt she will try however...

Stopping his train of thought Aegis slowly made his way back to his bunk and stared out the window at the planet below. Kharne joined him a few minutes later as they both watched the ships going into and out of the station.

 

Kharne finally spoke, "It has begun."

"Commander!" Verack said, and the quaking man was at his side in a moment.

"Yes, my lord?"

"Contact Siran. Tell him that I wish to meet him here, on the bridge."

"Of course, sire."

"I'll be able to find my target. You dont live for more than 200 year without learning how to track someone down. I would also like to travel alone, however if one of you wants to come you can, but I'll be fighting him alone"

Rayce and Scur lead Ganos to his the special quarter's for leaders to rest for the night. "We willhave guards and security cameras watching and guarding so don't worry." assured Scur as he placed Ganos' case into the room. Scur headed down the hallway and met with the leader of Telos and asked, "Hey, do we have anything to defend the attack with?"

"Yes, men are building some defense turrets on the surface and some Defense stations are being built for in space in orbit around Telos."

"Ok, now I need to see how taris is doing," Scur thought while walking towards Rayce, "Hey Rayce what to come to Taris with me, To fortify?"

"Sure." Rayce answered without hesitation. Both men start for some starfighters ready for launch.

Scur and Rayce launch out of the hangar and punch in the coordinates for Taris, and they launch into hyperspace.

Scur and Rayce arrive out of hyperspace and examine the buildings. "Just a little better than last time and they repaired the defense towers" Scur murmured to himself. Heading down to the hangar, the comlink buzzed, "Report your mission and who you are." This is Scur. Coming to fortify your planet for the attack of the Sith Fleet." Hey Scur, head into the hangar, and the leader will give you a brief desription of the defenses. Over."

Coryn walked into the cockpit, getting into the co-pilots seat. Soludis, Taa'la, and Aegis were leaving soon to find their death bearers. Taa'la was already piloting the ship toward Korriban. Hope Scur, Rayce, and the rest of the Republic can last against Sinister. He watched as they prepared to land in Dreshdae, thinking wryly Lets hope the rest of this party will last against the death bearers and the Sith. The ship slowly circled and slowed as it landed in the Czerka dock. Lets just hope I last against them...

Taa'la was trying to decide her battleground all the way to her ship. She knew she had to choose carefully... somewhere she'd be much more at home than the large Zabrak she would have to face. And suddenly, it clicked in her mind.

 

"Ryloth," she whispered. Her home planet would do just perfectly. Valkresh would easily get lost in the endless tunnels beneath the surface whereas she would manage just fine. Having spent her childhood exploring those tunnels, she knew she would not get lost. She would torment Valkresh into wasting his strength and then move in for the kill.

 

"Perfect," she whispered. With that, she reached her ship and plotted the appropriate course.

Islena sat in her cell aboard Verack's ship meditating when suddenly a presence penetrated her barriers and brought forth its message.

Islena... You have betrayed me and maimed me. You know I come for you, there is no escape. You will fall to my blade as will your new master. Fear me as I will crush you and all you live for. Remember these words for these will be your harbinger of doom.

Her eyes widened in horror and fear and the fact that Aegis had so easily crushed her mental barriers. She panicked at first before claming herself and replying.

My former 'master'. I defeated you easily during our match aboard the slave ship. You will fall once more when you face me. I should have killed you when I had the chance... 'master'. But no matter when you fall I shall truly be more powerful then you.

Leaning back she shivered at her boldness and drew her cloak tighter around her and she wondered at what the future will hold.

 

Aegis stood in his room aboard the Myriad and smiled behind his mask as he twirled the purple blade back and forth. Swinging it in a 360 arc he imagined it cleaving into Islena's flesh.

I will have my revenge... And what she will feel will be the pain of 10 fold of what I felt!

Turning around he removed his dark glasses and his head moved up as if he was staring at the ceiling. This was untrue as he was not. Aegis only saw darkness and that is what he shall always see... For now he is blind.

As Rayce and Scur landed in the hangar a different man stood tall with his hands behind his back staring at the two fighters coming in.

 

Both jumped out, "Welcome to Taris, why have you come to fortify us? We can handle it ourselves." What a way to welcome us thought Scur as he started walking towards the new leader.

"Well the Senate sent us on a mission to make sure all Republic planets are fortified for the attack from the Sith."

"Ok then, go around I have nothing more to say."

He walked back hands still behind back to the main control room.

Coruscant

 

The republic home defense fleet sat in orbit of the planet known as Galactic city, dozens of Harbinger, and Endar spire class ships dotted the space ways above the world, in an almost lazy anticipation of an attack. Small fighters busily conducted their sector patrols around the fleet. The feeling in the air was uneasy, as another calm day would seem, was spent at full alert. Smaller escort vessels surrounded the republic capital ships, in a defensive formation. All in all the Republic had, a fairly decent sized fleet awaiting, should the Sith strike at them. From the feeling amongst the admiralty, the sith did not command a large enough force, nor were they bold enough, to attempt a direct strike on the planet, the admirals were supremely confident, for they believed that not Since Malak, were the sith capable of such an assault, nevertheless, the kept a fairly large fleet at alert status above coruscant.

 

Unfortuneately, they were proven very wrong. Republic fleet admirals watched from theri bridges, as an innummerable number of Sith warships, leviathan and ravager class burst into the sector. At the head of the fleet was a mammoth vessel dwarfing, the already massive leviathan and Ravager class vessels. Its appearance seemed to contain concepts from both the Leviathan, and ravager. A sight which brought a cold dread to the republic naval force, was the fact, that the sun was no longer visible, for Sith numbers somehow blocked it out. How did the Sith amass such a fleet, with the Star forge destroyed, and forces scattered and splintered, it was not possible, was it?

The proof however, approached a trapped republic fleet.

 

The Sith fleet had performed a brilliant maneuver. They had pinned the republican forces against the planet, preventing any type of escape, in doing so also disrupting panetary comm systems. Sinister sat confidently on his command chair on the Kracken's bridge, he nodded to his admiral Krill, to commence the attack. Endless waves of sith fighter poured forth from the Cavernous hangars of the Kracken, and every other ship in the fleet. The streaked ahead of the main fleet toward Republic ships, which had proceeded to open fire on the incoming fighters, with little success, for the republic ships, for their size had a rather large decrepency of firepower. Republic fighters desperately engaged, the superior swarm of sith interceptors. Sinister watched from his bridge as massive dogfights ensued, and little bursts of light, as fighter craft engaged and destroyed one another. "Admiral move the fleet into attack position, bring us into their capital ships, we will crush them quickly."

 

The Sith Armada moved ever closer, bringing them in hull to hull with the Republic ships, turbo lasers, and heavy batteries from both sides exchanged fire, small fighters flews through the enormous battle, engaging one another in deadly dogfights. The Kracken made its presence felt, by simply ramming several republic vessels in ints path, before opening fire with its own turrets and batteries.

 

Republic forces fought desperately, but were hopelessly outnumbered, and without the slightest hope of matching the firepower from the Sith ships. The republic fleet was commanded from the bridge of acruiser of the same class as the harbinger/ endar spire. The ship was called The Valorous, it was commanded by Admiral Zalicious Vekk, who was one of the republic's most skilled commanders. He stood, his hands folded behind his back, as he watched out of his bridges main window, at the ensuing slaughter. He could see sith fighters streaking by his window, firing, and giving chase to the heavily outnumbered, and quickly thinning republic fighter squads. He shook his head in disbelief as his fleet was torn to shreds by Sith laser cannons, the admiral could see his vessels sister ship surrounded by a several sith capital ships, was blown to pieces and destroyed in a matter of minutes, from the combined sith fire. The next sight he saw, was the whalodon of a ship, known as the Kracken approaching his own.

"ADMIRAL, we have a massive enemy ship on approach, what are your orders." The admiral spoke his orders rather dejectedly, hail the kracken our surrender."

 

Admiral Krill turned to Sinister, "they are hailing us sir, they wish to surrender."

"Ignore them, those to weak to defend themselves deserve no mercy, wipe out their entire fleet." Sinister coldly chimed. "But m'lord, these are soldiers, they fought very honorably, it goes against the military code of honor, to shoot a surrendering soldier, they deserve a better fate my lord." Sinister without rising from his chair, coldly glared at the admiral. "Admiral Krill, you have served me well over the years, and you know what happens to officers, who...forget their place." Sinister stated, as Tretiak took a menacing stpe towards the admiral. Seeing the massive Trandoshan approach him, Krill responded quickly " forgive me my lord, it will be as you command." he turned back to the bridge officers. "Fire on the republic fleet, send the message to eradicate them"

 

Admiral Vekk stood on his bridge awaiting a sith response. " Sir" his deck officer announced "The sith have ignored our hails........." the young man stated, nearly bursting into tears. "Then I give the orders to abandon ship, save your selves men." the admiral quietly stated. He turned to see his deck troops remaining at their posts. He turned to his deck officer who had composed himself. " No sir, we stand here with you." The admiral smiled half heartely. "Then tell all remaining ships to fire, and take as many of them with us as they can." "YES SIR"

Vekk sighed from his bridge, as he defiantly stared out and watched as the sith fleet, and The Kracken opened fire on his fleet, which heroically, but to no avail fired back.

 

The scene was terrible, but memorable, and an act of pure bravery from Republic forces. They stayed at their posts throughout the fleet, and carried on the futile defense. Ountnumbered and outgunned, the remaining republic ships were destroyed.

Vekk stood on the remainder of his bridge, which was heavily damaged, as loose wires and smoke poured from most of the controls. The Kracken continued its heavy fire upon his vessel, he closed his eyes never to open them again, for The Valorous exploded, in a flowering explosion. A similar fate was occuring to the rest of his fleet. In a matter of roughly one hour, the entire republic defens was obliterated. Coruscant was surrounded by the mammoth Sith fleet, with the Kracken casting the largest shadow................
