The Source
Title: Dark Apprentice: Gold (Vrs. 1.00.15) By: MacLeodCorp (DarthThron), T7nowhere, Commas, & DarhMoeller I. The Dark Apprentice: Gold: - Under Revision! · The Dark Apprentice: Gold - is a content mod, which includes: a side quest, robes, armor, lightsabers, merchants, one female darkside transition set, and non-player characters. When installed, Bastila can be played as a player character and/or you can find her as a non-player character. · Side Quest - is based upon Bastila Shan, Mission Vao, and Nomi Sunrider. Five years ago, Bastila Shan went into exile. During her exile, she started to be hunted by two forces. One enemy is a previous companion, who helped her and Revan capture the StarForge. Another enemy is a Jedi Master, who hired a group of rouge Sith, so she can seek revenge. (Mission is not included, but she is a focus in some of the dialogue.) Dialogue and story does change and depends upon how you decide to work the conversations. When communicating with the various non-player characters, you will be rewarded for your answers through lightside/darkside points, robes, lightsabers, etc… · Merchants - Two new merchants were added to the Nashadaa Docks. While visiting these merchants, you will be able to purchase rare robes, armor, crystals, and HK-47 plot parts. While creating this mod, I also rearranged, edited, or added items to Telos (Residental & Medical Module 082) and Dantooine (Khoonda & Khoonda Grounds), and Nashadaa (Docks). See below for a brief rundown on changes.) (The story is inspired by Redhawk's: KotOR I: Make Mission a Jedi Mod.) (Please follow the installation instructions closely.) Jedi Master Nomi Sunrider Theory: · During my online research, I have made a conclusion about who is Jedi_Master_4h. As I looked at many resources, from pictures to descriptions, I have drawn the conclusion that the cut Jedi Master is Nomi Sunrider. According to ’http://www.StarWars.com <http://www.StarWars.com> Extended Universe, Bastila Shan was once called Vima Sunrider. At this point in the Knights of The Old Republic series, Vima would only be a Jedi Knight. As a last second change, Vima’s concept was taken out of the original Knights of The Old Republic. Now, there are many factors that support the Nomi Sunrider theory: 1. Nomi’s robe was designed in KotOR II style. If Nomi did not exist at the time, the robes would have been created in KotOR I format. 2. All pictures from comic books to novels show two important similarities between the head model and descriptions. First, her hair style and color is an exact match to the comic book. Second, her eye color is an exact match. Since Vima would have been a Jedi Knight at the time, this will only conclude that the Jedi_Master_4h model is Nomi Sunrider. 3. Nomi’s eye color matches her robe. Both the robes and eye color are green/hazel. I hope that this sheds some light to my conclusions. IX. The Source
Excellent! You've massively expanded this mod, and it looks awesome! Great work Thanks! I took your advice about making certain things pronounced. I hope people will leave feedback! Vogga the Hutts is more like Return of the Jedi's Jabba the Hutt's Thrown Room. Nashadaa's docks have two new merchants. Nomi Sunrider or Jedi_Master_4h has been restored, but with my own version of dialogue. Newer pics are coming soon! RedHawke
Feedback!? Did everyone understand the directions? Mac, one day isn't enough of a wait for any kind of feedback, especially for a mod like you have done here, and you might not get any mod feedback for days, weeks, even months. The regular throng of mod users seem to be loathe to give any sort of feedback to us modders, that is just how it is. In the end, patience padawan, you will get some... in time that is! CaptainWhyNot
I noticed when installing this mod (version 1.00.15) that there really isn't a choice for Bastilla's darkside clothes as the two copies of "N_JediMeF01.tga" in the two folders "Bastilla DS Cothes I" & "Bastilla DS Cothes II" are the exact same file. Haven't gotten to play it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Just thought you'd like to know about the texture duplication so it can be fixed in the next release. Oh, and I realize that it probably would be a lot more work, but I second the suggestion of packaging the mod into an installer (like stoffe -mkb-'s TSLPatcher). It would make it a lot easier for those of us installing it with other mods.

If there are any other issues. please let me know by the end of tonight. Thanks! No problem, glad to help. And, thank you for your quick response. Sorry for the late reply, but I've been busy with other things lately. I've just now played through being released from confinement in Telos (as a light-side Bastila Shan). I do have a hopefully quick question, though: am I supposed to have met myself there? (Which, btw, was kinda funny, and somewhat confusing, with Bastila greeting Bastila. )
Crazy_Hand
I like the mod so far. I'm just through the Telos part of it. I like the items, but isn't it said in K1 that Bastila didn't fight in the Mandalorean Wars? I can't remember at this time, haven't played K1 for a while. CaptainWhyNot
Having played through some more, I have a few more comments: I found Nomi Sunrider at the docks of Nar Shaddaa, yet she seemed to be a bit confused , asking me why I was at Khoonda (which would be on Dantooine). Also, I saw a few minor misspellings. I can go back, replay through those dialogs, and give you corrections if you need me to. I do have another question as well. For the purposes of this mod, is Revan assumed to have stayed (or gone back to being) darkside? From some of the dialog, it seemed like this might be the case, but I wasn't certain. If so, I'd like to suggest that you use the c_chkrevend conditional and add other dialog branches for Revan being lightside (with different explanations). So far, I've only been through Peragus, Telos, part of Nar Shaddaa, and a little of Dantooine. But, I like what I've seen of this mod so far. I always thought there should have been more of Bastila in KotOR II (especially for the lightside PCs). Keep up the good work.

I will check the spelling again. I ran it through MS Word, and thought I hit all the errors. If you find anything, please let me know. Yeah! She didn't relieze you were investigating Bastilla's problem. Since you killed off her bounty hunters, no one was able to get back to her. Therefore, she was nieve to your precense. CaptainWhyNot
The confusing part was that Nomi's first words when meeting her at the docks on Nar Shaddaa were "What are you doing on Khoonda? Why are you here?". Which implied to me that she thought we were on Dantooine (not on Nar Shaddaa). If she's asking about what the player did at Khoonda, it would make more sense (at least to me) if her line started off with something like "What were you doing in Khoonda?" Also, as I failed to go to Dantooine before going to Nar Shaddaa the first time I played that part, it was even more confusing/amusing. You might want to put in some conditional variable to check that the player already met Bastila in Khoonda before Nomi will talk about that event. As for the misspellings that I noticed: In Khoonda on Dantooine, Bastila says "Your insides serve you well. Burry your feelings deep down." Shouldn't it be "Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down."? In a later line, if the PC follows a would-be darkside path, Bastila says "must be stoped" - should be "must be stopped". Also, although not a misspelling, I didn't get any darkside points for doing this path and killing Bastila (but did get lightside points the other way). At the docks on Nar Shaddaa, Nomi says "Bastila was apart of a group" - should be "Bastila was a part of a group". Also, in that same line, she calls Malak "Malek". In her next line, Nomi says "refused to spear the help" - should be "refused to spare the help". In the PC's 1st response to this, Vima is called "Virma". And, there should be a period at the end of one of Nomi's later lines ending in "this will help you in your travels". As I said earlier, these are all minor errors. I'm just picky about such things. CaptainWhyNot
You know what is funny!? I fixed this in the original, but I didn't save it... Damit! Thanks I will fix it during the weekend... Heh , no problem. I'm still enjoying it. I noticed another thing from a continuity point of view. At the Docks of Nar Shaddaa, I met Bossk and 4-Lom (in Vogga's Enclave, while doing "Vogga's Horde" quest) quite a while after talking with Nomi Sunrider (at Pylon 1, before doing "Fassa's Freighters" quest). Don't know if it's entirely possible, but it would make more sense to me if Nomi didn't even appear (or at least not talk about Bastila nor leave) until after Bossk tells you about her.
