He was now walking down the hallways, seeming calm but it could be senced of him that he was nervous of the upcoming mission. The jedi were not ready for an open war, but a mission that could easily cost the lives of the most respected council members was also a bad choise. The weequay shook his head slowly and suddenly bumped into Jill that came around the corner. The master jumped but quickly gathered himself, looking at Jill for a moment. "You are seeking Seriphyn, I presume. He is in the conference room with Valgo and Juhn-Kai" he said and started to walk off but turned suddenly with a smile. "Your cheeks are glowing. Do not go like that to see him,for Juyhn-Kai has seen more cheeks glow like that than I have and knows very well what it means" he said and winked before turning and continuing his way towards his quarters. --- Valgo walked to the hologram and shook his head. "What happens if we fail and the sith kill us? That is why I need all the information I asked the padawan to get for me. I never walk into a place I don't know how to walk out...besides, Emukiel is perfectly capable of handling a number of Sith...I'd never ask you and your Master to do something I knew we would not be able to walk out with our skins still attached to our bodies...if we go in in large numbers we'll only get more Jedi killed...infiltration has always been better approach for this kind of situation" - Juhn-Kai said. ====== Jill looked down. Maybe she should consider what Master Emukiel had told her and she did. She went to the mess hall instead and tried to eat something with her fellow Jedi. Lady Andril sat next to her. - "Hello, you must be Juhn-Kai's new apprentice" - Lady Andril said. - "Yes Lady, I am" - Jill answered. - "He must work your butt off, Juhn-Kai has never been a tolerant Jedi when it comes to learning the ways of the force" - Andril said. - "He's been really patient with me" - Jill said. - "He must be going soft...must be old age, even though he does not look it, his mind is that of an old man" - Andril said. - "He's brilliant but, sometimes I feel like he's not totally open with me" - Jill said. - "You know about Lin, don't you? You asked him about her?" - Andril asked. - "Yes, but he keeps evaiding the subject...he never speaks about it" - Jill said. - "Haven't you considered that he finds it painful...that he had to stay away from his only daughter because he was persecuted by the sith and bounty hunters? He hasn't seen her in quite a while, not to mention Lin's mother" - Andril said. - "What happened to her?" - Jill asked. - "She still lives, she's a Miraluka from Katarr...she's lived so long as well" - Andril said. - "Miralukas live as long as humans do, so how come she's still alive?" - Jill asked. - "Well in Juhn-Kai's race, there is an ancient magic that they can perform in which they can give a gift of life to someone, Rinna, who is Linny's mother asked Juhn-Kai for this gift to remain alive and waiting for the day he would no longer be persecuted...but he doesn't want to call on her even if she is a great asset and a former Jedi, last I heard Lin was trained by Rinna to become a Jedi, and in his absence as a father and maybe his guilt for being away from Lin...he, treats you as if you were his daughter as all other jedi he has trained before you...haven't you ever wondered why he's always trained females?" - Andril said. - "By the force...he trains women because he feels guilty about not being with his daughter?" - Jill asked. - "Yes...that is one of the reasons...maybe the most important of all" - Adril said and went on her way back to the council chambers. And is it not more probable that if we go in as a small group and we are found, the whole base will be after us. I and Master Ae-Saefar are masters of Vaapad and Shii-Cho and Eki is in addition a master of Makashi, but we cannot hold back a whole army of sith when it comes to it. Juhn-Kai, while we wait for info and the other jedi on Illum, I would request you and Padawan Devious to join me and Emukiel to train Vaapad, for you might find it more useful than the combat styles you now master" he said and crossed his one arm over his chest, placed his other arm's elbow onto it and placed his hand onto his chin. He turned to see Juhn-Kai again. --- Emukiel was in his quarters, busy at work. He was standing in the middle of the room and his eyes were closed. He had set his robes aside as he did force excercises. A bottle flew over to the other side of his room and other equipment and supplies were hovering towards a large pipe-bag. The room's air was filled with various things that slowly started to settle down into new places as Emukiel controled them throught the force. You can instruct Jill in the art of Vaapad if you like...but do not underestimate my styles of combat my dear Master Valgo...I have fought along side ancient sword masters, the Jedi styles of combat bear no resemblance to the styles of old, the Jedi now look like children playing with swords in comparison to the old age... I wish you had seen met Xendor, the fighting prowes of that man and his combat form were almost perfect...my combat form has thousands of years in development, this cross-saber as unorthodox as it may seem helps me fend off several oponents at a time, besides I have not limited myself to the styles of the Jedi my dear Valgo...I have created a style for myself that I haven't taught any other student I have trained, the explanation to this is that none of them have the life span to truly master the form...I fear I may die without anyone ever mastering it as I hope, it is called Mik'Vorator...taking offense and defense in mind, I have found that there isn't one style taught by the Jedi that is totally perfected...only your Master's Vaapad is and only you and him are capable of using it in perfection...I have observed other students that you have thought but they have flaws in their stance or attacks. Mine is more like a dance but as your Vaapad as well fueled by the force, in combat the perception is cleared and you only find yourself surrounded by life, you reach such attunement with the force that your eyes no longer see shapes, they see the life streaming from every direction, I have been blessed to be able to perfect this technique, but with the curse that maybe it will die with me...if Val-Kan dies too that is... Our information will not betray us this time, remember that last time it came from Embok's mouth...Master Borus is overseeing the intelligence, so we can trust him...I must clear my head before we leave into battle, and I must speak with Seriphyn alone now that I am his intructor" - Juhn-Kai said. "Find Padawan Devious and invite her to train Vaapad with Master Ae-Saefar and I" he said to a padawan by the door. The padawan bowed and left quickly, leaving Valgo to walk towards the training grounds next to the hangar. --- Emukiel got his things ready and placed the pipe-bag next to his door, ready to be taken to the ship when they were ready to head for Korriban. The weequay jedi then walked out of his room and left towards the training grounds --- It didn't take long for the padawan to find Jill and walk up to her. "So, where is it exactly that you originate from, Master?" he asked to Juhn-Kai, trying to lift the mystery that had surrounded him the whole time they have known each other. She bowed after going inside and took out her sabers. - "I'm ready for the instruction masters" - Jill said. ================== Juhn-Kai looked at Seriphyn and grinned. - "I'm from a planet uncharted by the Republic. My master ended up on my planet because he said the force had called him there. The name of the system is Ilenia Prime, it has other moons, three to be exact and two suns. Valgo took his robes off and straightened his tunic before stepping to the tatami. He extended his hand and the other saber slipped from Jill's hand and softly landed on the table next to her. "You do not need more than one saber for Vaapad, for vaapad even without weapons is deadly" Eki explained and stepped up to the tatami before removing his robes and setting them aside. The two weequay master looked at Jill and smiled. After the padawan had stepped up onto the tatami, the expression of both jedi was withdrawn and hidden. She could sence no emotion in the jedi masters before suddenly the force shook and Valgo seemed to be boiling with rage. Valgo lunged at Jill, harnessing the anger into an effective strike against Devious. Again, the jedi's lightsaber gave a long tail after it from all the speed it gained. "Defend yourself!" a shout came from the other end of the room and Emukiel stood there, nodding to reassure her that she was quite capable of defending herself aginst the strike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shana Posted February 6, 2006 Author Share Posted February 6, 2006 Jill blocked the strike just barely. Valgo was really fast. She tried to observe Valgo's style but had to concentrate to keep up. She spun around Valgo and tried to lunge at him. She knew he would block, and she also knew Valgo was not really feeling rage since they had had a previous encounter on Dantooine. She closed her eyes briefly to focus only on the moment and giving into the force. She could sense Valgo's moves as well as he could sense Jill's moves before hand. =============== Juhn-Kai smiled briefly and got up his seat. - "Val-Kan and I come from the same planet, he was the son of a rich merchant and I was born into the royal family...I left the planet against my father's wishes, he didn't want me to go with my master. Eki looked from the sidelines and smiled quietly until Valgo got too nrear to pin Jill down. He called out and took a step forwars, when Valgo swung his lightsaber around and deactivated it after taking a step back. "Jill, you must harness the dark side to use Vaapad. The style is fast and explosive because it is driven by rage that is focused on the attack instead of let loose. That is also why not many get the invitation to learn Vaapad" the older qeewuay said and walked towards them, his hands crossed behind him and his lightsaber hanging from his belt. "Feel the rage growing inside you, but control it's flow. Let it come out slowly and in small amounts for now and feel the opponent's mind" Eki said and looked at her. Valgo stood silently infront of Jill and his rage had vanished completely. He nodded in agreement with his master's words. "You must trust your instincts and use your lightsaber as a deadly weapon instead of the defence weapon you have used it as, Jill. She thought about what Seriphyn said about him not being able to protect her if they parted ways so she wanted to learn Vaapad and defend herself more against the sith. That is why many sith have tried to lure me to the dark side to teach them" Emukiel said and looked at Jill. He placed his hands behind his back and looked at Valgo quietly and nodded before turning back to Jill. "Let the anger inside you control your movements but be aware of your surroundings, for you do not want to kill a jedi on the battlefield" he said and stepped back. In the meantime, Valgo had walked over to a control board and let out four robots that were wielding lightsaber-like sticks, painted in red colours. The robots headed for Jill to attack her and Eki nodded from the backround. "Destroy them. Remember, let the anger out only little for now and control it. Shana Posted February 8, 2006 Author Share Posted February 8, 2006 Jill closed her eyes as the robots came at her. She remembered when the sith lord cut Seriphyn's hands and she was angry now. She let herself go with the rage trying to focus it to keep in control. She started spining around striking continuously at every direction. The robots were defending and she kept attacking her features now showed anger and she still tried to control it. She struck down the last of the robots and let go of her anger, she was slightly shaking. She turned of her lightsaber and faced Emukiel, then she bowed to him and then to Valgo. Not even Valgo was that fast to learn" Emukiel said and Valgo watched quietly. "But what you still must learn is to predict the opponents' moves. If your master decides to take you with us on our mission, you must learn to control the force around you and bend it" the qeequay said and stepped forwards. The force around him seemed to cry out as it bent and suddenly Emukiel had disappeared but his force presence was shining brightly where he walked. "You see, bending the force to conceal you does not help, for you must also control the force flowing throught yourself" Eki said and stopped behind Jill. His force energy suddenly vanished, but the steps continued until the weequay was once again infront of Jill. "Could you defend yourself from an enemy you cannot sence or see, Jill? For the sith have guards like that around, I am sure of it" he said and suddenly his lightsaber ignited behind her and swung towards her pretty little neck. Emukiel was a fine master indeed and a powerful one. Jill knew this since Juhn-Kai told her stories about missions they had together. But this time she was able to see some of Emukiel's teachings in action and she was quite impressed and eager to know more. - "It's amazing master, but I don't think I have that much of control in the force, Master Juhn-Kai has taught me much but there are somethings he's left out" - Jill said. If you neutralize the dark and the light force energy flowing throught you, you will seem like non-force sensitive and will leave no trail of a jedi behind yourself. Let your anger slowly come out, but mix it with happy thoughts, but do not let either of them to gain the upper hand in your mind. They need to be able to neutralize each others, and when that is accomplished, you cannot be senced throught the force without heavily trying" Emukiel said and his lightsaber blade vanished. It then appeared infront of her and swung towards her. Eki had not trained Trákata but still used a variation of it now. "When encounter a concealed enemy, do not try to sence what the opponent is thinking, but instead concentrate on the lightsaber, for it is the part of him you will see and sence and by the blade's movements, use your mind and the force to predict where it will hit and you can parry them easily, even if you have not trained anything elsethan Shii-Cho" Emukiel continued and kept himself hidden, even if it drained his energy quite quickly Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They have the ability to use the Force, but the question is if they can use it without destroying themselves and others in the process" Seriphyn nodded in comprehension. There was a prolonged period of silence, before Seriphyn broke it with a confession. We will talk more of this when Jill is present with us, let us prepare for the flight to Korriban" - Juhn-Kai said. ================ Jill tried to do as Emukiel told her, but she only managed to conceal herself but not the force energy surrounding her. Then she tried harder and for only a matter of two seconds she was able to conceal herself then she reapeared and dropped to her knees. - "It is very hard master, I can't hold it for long" - Jill said.
