The only instance that I recall where the death of a user was contemplated (by me) was when a prominent Administrator in the StarWars side of the forums went away. Like, his account was removed: all his posts said "guest" and there wasn't an avatar, or anything. When those close to him were asked, they said it was a "personal matter". I would have liked so closure.
