Keyan Farlander Posted February 22, 2001 Posted February 22, 2001 There seems to be some talk that Jedi Knight II is in the works (I'm not talking about Obi-Wan, either). I read it at Voodooextreme. I know this should go in the Games forum, but this is a great moment for all of Star Wars if it is true (plus I wanted someone to actaully see it...).

Flying Beastie Posted February 22, 2001 Posted February 22, 2001 I think LEC is a little confused: 1. Dark Forces 2. Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II 3. Jedi Knight II: Mysteries of the Sith So, technically, this one would be Jedi Knight III: Dark Forces III. What I really disliked about MotS was how badly LEC told the story. They wanted a big name from the EU, so they plugged in Mara Jade with no regard to her character development. They wanted her master to turn to the Dark Side, so Kyle did so, then "caved" back to the Light at the end. They also dropped Jan Ors (*sniff*), and "reset" all of Kyle's development (both character and Force-wise) back to the novice level. What irritates me is the idea that, after defeating Jerec and rejecting the near-absolute power of the Valley of the Jedi, Kyle would fall for some unspecified Sith powers! The only ways MotS could be rationalized is if you barely stayed on the light side during JK. LEC should've hired someone who actually knows what "characters" are (and how to write them) and/or started with two completely new player characters.
