"Two there should be; no more no less. One to embody power, the other to crave it."

-Sith Lord Darth Bane, Star Wars: Dark Lord - The Rise of Darth Vader

this had to come from somewhere other then wiki. and i think Star Wars: Dark Lord is the novel....

*sighs*

another sith lords thread...

see linkabove, and this one for a little more detail about each see link below. 90% of these sith lords have only been revealed in EU.

More Sith Info

Of the republic era sith lords, there are only

*Bane

*Zannah

> > > hasnt been elaborated if there were any between here. *Millenial excluded from this line as he worked outside the rule of Two)

*Plagueis

*Sidious

*Maul

*Tyranus

*Vader

End of story.

Feel free to discuss the sith lords mentioned to help "Darth_Death" with his game... Perhaps he could tell us more about that...

this is NOT to become a discussion about the nature of the dark side and sith philosophy, we've had enough of those recently :blast5:

Eh... if we're going to talk about the real sith lords, then I would name Exar Kun, Marka Ragnos, Ajunta Pall, Ludo Kressh.

As Kreia said in kotor tsl, the new sith lords are just like children playing with toys compared to these 'old ones'. :sithk:

lolz, if you knew your sith history(as mostly recounted in the Old Republic era comics), you'd also know that due their very nature, the sith were on the verge of annihilation due to war between themselves. If it was not for Darth Bane destroying his enemies, introducing the Rule of Two and making the Sith a discipline more than a philosophy, then the sith would not have survived at all...

still, this thread isnt meant to be a debate about which sith was 1337 and which was not....

I don't think Sidious was a child "playing with toys", He overthrew the Republic, destroyed the Jedi order (more were destroyed than ever before), created a Sith Empire and successfully ruled the Galaxy, albeit for a short time.

Yeah, the Sith of the Golden Era were all a bunch of posers when compared to Naga Sadow, who not only is one of the first Sith encountered 30,000 some years or whatever, but he's not human. He is a Sith. I think that's what she was referring too. But yeah, as mentioned, the rule of two thing worked best. It's just that one of the Sith at that time decided to convert and kill his master, thus ending the Sith all together. But I guess that didn't stop a ton of Dark Jedi from coming about in the EU. Jerec and his goons, Brakiss, Kueller, etc. But most of those guys are pathetic compared to any Sith in any point in history.

werdz. The Dark Jedi suck. Theyre sorta like goth kids with lightsabers :p

Mara Jade, The Emperor's Hand was cool though...not a Dark Jedi, but a trained assassin,. She was doing a job, not acting out of fear or hate, or a lust for power thereby not making her a sith. I also cant recall her using dark side specific powers either, like lightning, choke etc.

I <3 Mara jade

Is Traya an Emperor's Hand along with Jade, or what? There were a bunch of them, but each thought theyw ere the only one or something. Or so says the NEW Essential Guide to Characters.

Some of the Dark Jedi, like Jerec, were 'disciples' or something to the Emperor and had training from him or something, but of course were never given enough power to take things over. But after his death, the government was left in chaos and warlords arose. Of course I am biased towards the DF/ JK series, but I think Jerec had both Issard and Brakiss beat with his Jedi training prior to the Clone Wars and all. Thrawn probably could kick his ass though.
