spaceholder999 Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 lol i've modded a version that allows unlimited force and no fall damage... its now possible to jump onto a frigate as a jedi and slowly hack it to pieces, but thats only if the auto turrets dont get you first... Can you give me a link to that mod, sir?
zerted Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 No, I saw pictures of the mod. Its a mod though, you can do anything. Doing it (or something like it) in the real game is something to talk about.
Kurgan Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 It works with any unit, it's old news. Look, clearly it's proven to work. The thing is, it's obviously a mod, since you normally don't get heroes on that map. If you say it can be done WITHOUT a mod, please demonstrate it and post your screenshots. That's the best way to win the argument. Otherwise I'm sure it's obvious that he's using a mod, and with that mod you can do it too. A mod that let's you use Heroes on a Space map? What will they think of next!
PoiuyWired Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Thanks but no thanks... now ewoks in space would be fun. WITH JETPACKS!!!
d5h Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 bet you dont know how to get in the turrents on the outside
MachineCult Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 *sigh*... who would want to? I think this thread has served it's purpose.
zerted Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 lol, no, no natives in space.I don't remember any in the movies. How about some living energy blobs? Start Trek has a lot of those types of space natives.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Imagine it.....Jar Jar destroying his gungan army single-handedly. lol. Not gonna happen.
MachineCult Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 How about some living energy blobs? Start Trek has a lot of those types of space natives. I know it's weird. The humanoid aliens on Star Trek are crap, the only thing that sets them apart from humans is that they have different ears, or a little thing on their face.
Kurgan Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 I know what you mean. That's popularly known as the "aliens of the week" and the "bumby forehead humanoids" referring to Michael Westmore's (in)famous character makeups. There's even "aliens" in Trek that look exactly like humans but have some special power or something, like Betazoids (they have black eyes, that's the only difference), or the Q (who use human looking bodies), etc. Then again, Star Wars has its share of "a little too human aliens," especially in the prequels. Twi'Leks, that guy who tried to sell Deathsticks to Obi-Wan, those blue-skinned aides to the chancellor, the "Fat Dancer" at Jabba's and the pale red-haired dancers in the Special Edition, Zabraks like Darth Maul and Agen Kolar, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and the "wanted man" who tries to intimidate Luke in the Mos Eisley Cantina (not even sure if he's supposed to be an "alien" or just a guy with some facial injuries/deformities). There's probably other examples. I can understand why this is such a common thing in sci fi... it saves money, and allows the actor's "face" to be more easily recognized through the makeup.
MachineCult Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 It's not as bad as Star Trek, those aliens are just humans with funny ears or a mark on their face somewhere, and Stargate, the aliens are just humans with a deep voice.
zerted Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Ah, see Stargate did it smart. Everyone is a type of human except a few races, even the Raith are part human. I'm trying really hard to think of something to tie this post with the thread topic, but I can't think of anything. By the way, has anyone been able to click the exact center of the circle yet? Something happens when you do...
MachineCult Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 By the way, has anyone been able to click the exact center of the circle yet? Something happens when you do... You lie...
zerted Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 You lie...You get the feeling of utter disappointment as you realise all the time you just wasted
