heres my request to change hk-47 to general grievous and the hk-50 to his body gaurd they can still have guns but hk-47 has a green and a blue lightsaber when he gets activated he will only have two arms not four.this mod would be for kotor 2

Here you are wrong. hk have unarmed melee animations, you can see that just give him ranged behavior and do not equip any weapons. his attacks are kung-fu like. Still, I think it would be needed to re-do the model to use melee weapons and their animations. Plus there isnt GG or Magnaguard model around.

HK may have melee (unarmed) animations.. but he doesn't have weapon combat animations. If you equip HK with a saber.. you'll see ;) and well, Grievous without sabers.. just isn't Grievous...

Also, we can't add combat animations due to model restrictions...

Porting assets from one game to another is restricted at these Forums (and by the EULA).. they must be made from scratch if we are to use them...

another one shot down by combat animations

...and porting restrictions.

Something I will never grasp is why it is illegal to port something from one game to another...even while both games are of the same publisher!

But not the same makers, that's the difference. Besides it is against the EULA you agreed to to install the game so there you go, no porting. -RH

Okay, okay. And the EULA deal; what I meant was, because it is the same publisher - and even the same developer sometimes - it doesn't make sense, to me, to have that restriction. But because the EULA is there, and because it does say not to do it, I agree you shouldn't. It just doesn't make sense... that's all I meant.

But hey, someone has recently cracked the animations. So, just as someone could now script new animations for the Vandar/Yoda model, maybe someone could script new animations for the HK model. Just a thought.

Its because the corporate s need to make their money somehow while still restricting the ability of a customer to modify a game, so that they feel good about themselves for exerting control over someone they probably have never heard of.
