lord ignarn
Have you noticed that Jocasta Nu from Episode II and Atris wear the same robe pattern? "patterned robes bear the symbols of the Ansata, indicating devotion to knowledge and learning." Was Atris also a librarian, is this some kind of uniform for the temple librarian? Do you know about other less evident movies content both in K1 and K2?
Meatbag
Atris says she is the chronicler of the Jedi. But Jocasta is much cooler, instead of doing evil she tries to save as mcuh younglings in the Temple - IIRC she told some to hide in the Council chambers, and it took some time before Vader murdered them. Master Dakari
I had mentioned the same similarities on other forums, but am glad someone else has noticed it too. I always had the opinion they were the robes worn by the current Master/Mistress of the Archives; and that they get handed down from one to another through the years. That would have Jocasta Nu wearing the same robes Atris wore. Though, as the color change indicates, they have seen some considerable age. But Jocasta is much cooler, instead of doing evil she tries to save as mcuh younglings in the Temple - IIRC she told some to hide in the Council chambers, and it took some time before Vader murdered them. This is true. Though she looks - and is - old and feeble, she is rough and rowdy when she needs to be. She helped as many Padawans escape the Temple as possible; and when time got considerably short, she hid what Younglings were left in the Council Chambers and changed the access codes. She was eventually found by Vader and, when she refused to give him the override, he attacked her. He soon found out what very few knew; that she was a formidable and fierce opponent. Vader eventually got the best of her, but she did not go down without a ferocious fight. And we all know what happens next. Needless to say, none of this can be said about Atris. Atris is a Jedi who was weighed and found heavily wanting.
Meatbag
I couldn't believe how endlessly stupid Atris was. She had a massove collection of Sith holocrons she was studying and didn't realize she fell to the deep dark depths of the Force! When she talks with Kreia and doesn't turn around... that conversation was rather disturbing.
The Doctor
It was supposed to be disturbing, I think.
Emperor Devon
Was Atris also a librarian, is this some kind of uniform for the temple librarian? The pattern on the robes symoblizes learning and knowledge. I couldn't believe how endlessly stupid Atris was. She had a massove collection of Sith holocrons she was studying and didn't realize she fell to the deep dark depths of the Force! It's hardly surprising. The Jedi were being slaughtered by a threat Atris couldn't trace. What better place to find out about the Sith than their own holocrons? With her urgency to find out about the Sith combined with her arrogance that she was the perfect Jedi, it was hardly surprising that she fell to the Dark Side. lord ignarn
As we can see in other threads, Kotor is a full part of the canon, and it affects the EU and other SW products. So, the sith kinghts that pursued you in Kotor 1 are depicted as "Dark side adepts" in the SW miniature game. You can check it here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=swminis/article/setlistcgallery If you know of more references to Kotor out there, please, pots them here! Thanks in advance! Master Dakari
lord ignarn, does your post have anything to do with this this thread? It's interesting and all, yes, but it doesn't belong here. Make your own thread. But yes, I think Jocasta Nu is of the same position that Atris was in her da; and what Kreia was before her.
PoiuyWired
Well, Atris is like trapped in this empty-ish backup academy place without any male-ish objects... not even the droid-loving lady on dantooine can live wih that. and... she thinks she kinda got betrayed by that hot male exile she so long for... if anything this is a big first class ticket to the dark side. Remember, she thinks she is the only "functional" jedi left.
