Alegis
Yes of course, since this happens to all WoW disks in distribution ... You don't know anyone with the game discs or store not accepting them back? Looked up what error 102 means ? I got bored of the game within two months. It's alright at first, but the grind is what kills it. Much like any MMORPG, unfortunately. I only played MMORPG trials before this game, as they were all grinding games and the fun already left before the trial ran over. Been playing WoW for over a year now, fantastic game. Yes it does cost monthly, and other games don't. So be it. Rolled a Hunter and Druid to 60, both great classes. Wouldn't really call rogues weak; anyways if you wish to take a class ask yourself this: Support, DPS or tank ? Or a combination? Support is healing [Priest, Druid], DPS (DamagePerSecond) for the damagedealers in groups [Hunter, Rogue, >DPS Warrior) or tanking (Warrior). All classes of course got some other stuff, druids being the true hybrids. Priest is rather easy to explain, you rely on your manapool a lot while lvling (shadow dmg) and in parties you try to keep the group up. Druids are hybrids, using shapeshifting can either heal (normal, caster form), damage as a semi rogue in cat form, and semi warrior in bear form. Nice for lvling it is, end-game you'll most likely be healer (support). Rogues are damage, in the form of quick stabs and stealth. Sneak up to enemies, ambush em, poison em, stun em with quick attacks from daggers or 1handed swords(/maces). Sneaky class Hunters can take more dmg than the other classes (except warriors), and got a pet to do it for them as well. Strategy of a hunter lies in keeping ranged with your target, having them fixate on your pet instead. Very fun class Warriors are supposed to be the tankers, taking damage. Of course they can decently deal it as well. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/ http://www.wow-europe.com/ Lots of info on gameplay
Seph
Would hunter be good if I want to be powerful and have ranging and close range?
Curt-Man
well, Hunters tend to stay away from melee combat, they have alot of slowing spells, for example, if an enemy gets up close the hunter just slows them, runs away and shoots them, then repeat. That is if your pet hasn't already gained aggro.
RoxStar
this sucks, like disk four has an error 102, and now blizzard's making pay 10 dollars for new disks even though the disks didn't have installer data straight out of the box... Download the fileplanet trial, then patch it. Same game as the retail version *shrug*
Alegis
Hunters tend to stay away from melee yes, pets are their melee dmg. A class where you got ranged and pretty good close range (or doesn't change much) is mage. In pvp you slow em Curt, in PvE you lose aggro (disengage/feign death) Good idea, RoxStar
Seph
Download the fileplanet trial, then patch it. Same game as the retail version *shrug* how could I patch it?
RoxStar
how could I patch it? enter completely made up username and password, it'll download the updates, then you actually register an official account at http://worldofwarcraft.com/ and you're set. Seph
do I have to buy the account for the site to download the file?
RoxStar
No, just enter a username and password and hit login after the fileplanet trial is installed(its still free i believe). Before WoW checks to see if your account is valid, it checks with the servers to see if it is the same version. When its not, it automatically updates. After it is up to date. Just register an official account and you're set!
TiE23
Just make sure you cancel the free trial, or you will get an email saying you were charged $40. So be careful. Also, I really suggest GW instead. Because you won't feel like you're wasting money when you don't play for a week or two. (like I do)

Rexíos
WoW is one of the best games imo. Make a Warlock, they are very good casters that have pets that take the aggro. Very good character for PvE. Or, just choose something else

Joe©
IMO WoW has really bad graphics... and your paying... and paying... and paying... for it. Need I say? Get Guild Wars. Been playing non stop for 8 months now. very fun except for arena nets tendency to make retarded updates. Great graphics, tons of gameplay. I still havent done everything cause I am lazy. *cough* back to WoW. While I have never played it myself I have friend that have it and it sounds like many of the other MMORPG's out there. And the fees, but if you have that much dollars than more power to you
Dagobahn Eagle
It disappointed me, quite frankly. I think the only reason it got so insanely popular was that it had "Warcraft" in its title. No more, no less. It's just another MMO RPG - a shallow one at that. Galaxies requires far more player interaction, has more open maps, and uses a level system that's a thousand times better than the D&D-style one in WoW. Heck, you can't even build houses in WoW for some obscure reason. [/rant on an overhyped game] Just make sure you cancel the free trial, or you will get an email saying you were charged $40. So be careful. Been there, done that. Ordered 4 months of play by credit card, and at the end of the four months LucasArts automatically signed me up for another four months. Bloody *******s.
