"I'm fine, Nic," Jana said. "And yes, Ryshana's across the way... but Cloud's nowhere to be seen. But I doubt he's still free."

Without warning, the Star Destroyer shuddered and Jana frowned.

"Either they just got rammed or shot at... or they just jumped to hyperspace," she murmured. She shook her head. "Either way, we're in a pretty mess here." Shrugging, she sighed. "I guess we just sit around and wait for interrogations. Probably won't be Vader again..." she shuddered. "I hope not, anyway."

----------------

"Lord Vader," an officer said, approaching the Dark Lord. Vader turned. "We've been rammed by a small fighter of unknown origin. It came out of hyperspace and failed to respond to hails. We tried to get a tractor lock, but..."

"Tractor beams would be of no use against it," Vader interrupted. "I know the fighter of which you speak. It left an old hyperspace ring behind, did it not?"

"Yes, Lord Vader," the officer answered. "The ring is still in space."

"Have it destroyed, Commander," Vader ordered. He turned to Sephiroth. "Go toy with your enemy, Cloud Strife. This new intruder is far above your skill. I will deal with her myself."

"But my Lord," the commander objected, "that fighter rammed us. It would not have survived."

"You underestimate its strength," Vader replied. "We have been breached."

With that, he stalked off the bridge.

--------------

"What's that?" Jana snapped, spinning to peer out through the force field. Soldiers ran past, trying to find places to hide, turning to shoot as they went. Their shots were deflected by an unseen source. Then, there was a cry of pain, the sound of a lightsaber deactivating, and all blaster-fire stopped.

Several minutes later, Riebe Sothe appeared. The cell guards paid no attention to her.

"Ah, there you are," she said, smirking slightly as she looked first toward Ryshana and then to the others. "There you all are."

Jana growled, immediately assuming that the guards were ignoring Riebe because she was there to interrogate the crew.

"Doko prek anuda ten?" Jana snapped. Riebe looked slightly confused, which satisfied Jana. "Ke'dem!" Jabbing her finger repeatedly into her own chest, she went on, "Min min vil ut valle Nharquis!"

She looked ready to say more, but Riebe interrupted.

"Cheespa bo coopa, Jana," she hissed, "een nagwa co creespa creeta."

"Chess ko, Sith Hunter," Vader's voice echoed through the corridor. The troopers looked around, as if trying to figure out who he was talking to. "Nagwa co creespa creeta."

"Dismiss your troops, Anakin," Riebe said. "They are not needed here."

Vader did so.

"Great," Jana spat. "An interrogation duo, are you?"

Riebe sighed. "Shut your mouth, di'kut," she hissed.

"You should not have come, Sith Hunter," Vader said, finally coming into view.

"You should not have left your bridge, Anakin," Riebe answered evenly, turning to face him. Jana's anger turned to confusion. "You'd have been safer there."

"Frack!" Jana murmured.

"You'd have been safer leaving this ship alone," Vader snapped.

"Oh, call me a di'kut," Jana groaned.

"You can't possibly think you're that good," Riebe laughed.

"Try me, Sith Hunter," Vader challenged, drawing his red lightsaber.

((Post your reactions to this bit of dialogue... say perhaps that, when Jana said things, you also either said something or perhaps responded to what Jana said. I'll pick this up when you're all done. EJ, you can do whatever you want with Cloud and Sephiroth since they're in an entirely different area.))

As Ryshana sat still, she felt something out at the edge. It was a familier feeling that she had felt before. Suddenly, the Star Destroyer shuddered, and Ryshana suddenly realized what was happening. Riebe, Ryshana thought for a second.

After a while, Riebe appeared. On her arrival, Ryshana stood up. "Tr'iallte," Ryshana spoke in twi'leki (traitor). Whenever Vader arrived shortly thereafter, Ryshana studied both of them intensely. Whatever happened between the two would not go unnoticed by Ryshana.

((Oy! Let me translate Jana, Riebe, and Vader.

Jana (in Old Corellian): Doko prek anuda ten? (Translates to, "Can you speak this language?")

after Riebe's confused look, Jana (Old Corellian): Ke'dem! (Used to indicate a condemned or fallen person) Min min vil ut valle Nharquis! (Translates roughly as, "I will eat your ashes," and said while pointing vigorously at yourself, this is the worst Old Corellian oath.)

Riebe interrupts (Huttese): Cheespa bo coopa, Jana, een nagwa co creespa creeta." (Translates to, "Better watch it, Jana, or you're going to come to a bad end.")

Vader comes in (Huttese): Chess ko (careful), Sith Hunter. Nagwa co creespa creeta. (You're going to come to a bad end.)

Riebe addresses Jana: "Shut your mouth, di'kut!" ("Shut your mouth, fool!", Mandalorian.)

Jana: Frack! (Thanks to starmark's find :) )

Jana later: "Oh, call me a di'kut..." (Again, di'kut = fool, Mandalorian.)

So that's it. :) ))

While Riebe and Jana had the conversation, Oliver was sitting down on the floor. He could break any moment. He wasen't a very strong guy.

Sephiroth went up to Cloud's cell. "Vader is letting me toy with you, Cloud." he said to the prisioner. Sephiroth raised his hand and released Force Lightning from his figertips. As the lightning bolts hit Cloud, he yelled in pain. His expression was enough to know that he wouldn't survive it for long. "I love it when you scream in pain, Strife." said Sephiroth in an evil voice. He continued to release the bolts of lightning. Then, he released it. "I'll be back later." he told Cloud. As Sephiroth walked off, Cloud looked up. He seen Aerith in front of him. "I must be halucinating." Cloud said. She walked forward to Cloud with a white aura surrounding her. She reached out and grabbed his head. "Don't give up, Cloud." said Aerith in a pretty voice. "Your friends are in trouble. Riebe is trying to help, but she isn't a chance agenst Vader. Find them. You will fight Sephiroth again. I have to go now." She let go of Cloud's head and disapppeared. Cloud, with a new hope, got up. "The Emipre may be smart...." said Cloud. He dismantled the hand cuffs that he had on. "....but they haven't met me."

Nic was still Weak after being thrown by Vader before. As Reibe and Vader came into view he listened in on The conversation. Nic's years as a merc allowed him to learn many differant languages, so he knew exactly what was happening. He was still confused, 'Reibe and Vader are suppose to be allies' he thought 'and now they want to kill each other.'

"What's that?" Jana snapped, spinning to peer out through the force field.

Beryl suddenly felt tense, like something was about to happen. It was the same feeling she got just before the sensor alarms would go off. Only this time, she couldn’t just jump into the Headhunter and blast the offenders. This time, she could only wait and watch. It was a horrible feeling.

Soldiers ran past, trying to find places to hide, turning to shoot as they went. Their shots were deflected by an unseen source. Then, there was a cry of pain, the sound of a lightsaber deactivating, and all blaster-fire stopped.

It wasn’t long before the woman she had known as Tarla Vel appeared.

"Ah, there you are," she said, smirking slightly as she looked first toward Ryshana and then to the others. "There you all are."

“Tarla! I mean, Riebe,” Beryl corrected herself quickly. She grinned gratefully then let out a sigh of relief. No matter what Jana had said about her, Beryl still trusted her. Although, it was strange that none of the guards were paying any attention to her….

But before Beryl could ask how or why, Ryshana said something to Riebe in Twi’leki that she could only assume was derogatory. And then Jana said… Beryl’s mouth dropped in shock at her words. Jana had uttered a curse in Old Corellian that was so bad that if Beryl’s father had ever heard her say the same, she would be still be doing penance for it today at age thirty-four! “Jana!” Beryl hissed at her admonishingly.

Then the dark feeling washed over her again. A cold, fearful, sickening prickliness coursed through her body. Her brow wrinkled, and she took a step backwards from the force shield, making a point to position herself to obscure Oliver sitting on the floor behind her, in a small effort to protect him. Vader was coming.

Sure enough the deep voice she remembered from the hanger bay, echoed through the corridor. "Chess ko, Sith Hunter. Nagwa co creespa creeta."

She listened as they exchanged words, watched as the guards were dismissed, and then cringed as Vader came into view, then drew his lightsabre.

“No!” she blurted out, knowing Vader’s reputation for being undefeated with the weapon. “Riebe, watch yourself!” she warned her former TCTA instructor.

Suddenly, Beryl wished she hadn’t said anything. It was obvious that Jana and Ryshana weren’t pleased to see Riebe, but Beryl had just unwittingly revealed herself to Vader as a friend or, at the least, an ally of his opponent. A tactical error. Vader could now use her as bait or a distraction for Riebe. Beryl stepped back even further into the cell, hoping that her outburst had gone unnoticed.

Cloud looked around himself. He reached down into his boot and grabbed a wrench. He seen a panel and got to work unscrewing it. When he got it open, he seen it led to a fuel line. "Better not shoot a blaster in there." Cloud said to himself. "Otherwise, the ship will blow." He put it back on. He took the wrench and got to work on another panel. Under the next one, he found some metal wires. "Bingo." thought Cloud. He took the paneltook out a laser cutter, and took of a strip of metal. Lucky for him, he was near the door. He put on some special gloves, touched on end of the strip of metal to the electronic lock, and touched the wires, causing a short in the lock. "Yes." thought Cloud. Cloud opened the door and snuck out.

((EJ, careful what you post... Riebe's my character. I know you didn't control her, but you came very close. You had Aerith tell Cloud Riebe doesn't stand a chance against Vader? You're very wrong. Here's a comparison:

Riebe: is something like 2200 years old here, though she appears to be around 19. She's had years upon years of training from the best Jedi and Sith in history.

Vader: is in his 30s by now. He has a strong connection to the Force, stronger than any other Jedi. But that connection has been weakened a bit by his encounter with lava on Mustafar. Still, he's pretty strong in that area. He's had around 15-20 years of training from two masters, one light, one dark.

It's only because of his Force connection Vader is somewhat an equal of Riebe. For this reason, there will not be a winner in this fight. They'll fight for a bit and then break off, have a little discussion. Then, Vader will leave and Riebe will free the crew. I was going to have one of us ask about Cloud, but since you've already got him out of his cell, I'll adapt. It'll happen much the same and Riebe will run off to look for him. She'll find him and explain that the others are already heading back to the ship.

I'll post the fight later... ran out of time here ;) ))

((Heh... yes, I think you are... well, here it is :) ))

Both Riebe and Vader glanced at Beryl, retreating further into the cell.

"She knows you?" Vader demanded.

"As do Jana and Ryshana," Riebe answered. "All from TCTA."

Vader nodded. "Good bargaining tools, they are."

"Cut it out, Anakin," Riebe said. "You're sounding like Yoda."

"How is the old midget these days?" Vader wondered, advancing on Riebe.

"Better than you," Riebe retorted, drawing a lightsaber from her belt. Its blade glowed purple. "He still has a body."

Vader attacked, swinging at Riebe's feet. Not even moving, Riebe drew another lightsaber, this one green, and blocked the blow. The purple blade was already in motion, swinging toward Vader's neck. He blocked it easily.

"What happened to your weapon, Sith Hunter?" he asked. "I remember you loosing it a couple of times, but..."

"But unlike you, I always managed to get it back," Riebe interrupted. She attacked fast with both blades and Vader retreated a little before regaining the upper hand and driving the two duelists back into view.

"I believe I remember you telling the Emperor that you would wield those two lightsabers to disgrace their former owners," Vader said. "Is that your story now?"

"No," Riebe answered calmly. "I wield these lightsabers until the deaths of Mace Windu and Eeth Koth have been avenged."

"Traitor," Vader spat.

"No, you're the traitor, Anakin," Riebe answered, hammering both sabers downward at his head. "Remember what you were? That young boy that, when confronted by a small group of beautiful women thought he had encountered angels?"

"The boy is dead," Vader hissed, raising his saber to block her blades. "He died with his mother. Anakin the man died on Mustafar. Anakin is nothing!"

Their sabers locked and it became a contest of strength. Vader was clearly winning until Riebe sent him flying with a powerful Force push. He sailed through the air, looking somewhat less intimidating, especially when he landed with a loud thump in a disorganized heap. Untangling himself from his cape, he stood.

"If Anakin means nothing, you would take no offense at the name," Riebe said quietly.

"It is just a name," Vader growled.

"It is you, Anakin," Riebe insisted. "Deep down, you know you've done wrong. It's not too late to turn back."

"Don't you get it?" Vader snapped, sounding now more like an annoyed teenager than a menacing Sith Lord. "I don't want to turn back. There's nothing to turn back to!"

He spun to stare into the cells. "And one of these is a Jedi. I won't stop until I find the Jedi and I won't let you stop me."

"Leave them alone, Anakin," Riebe roared, stopping him with a hand on his arm. "Know this, Anakin. One of them may be a Jedi, but know that, in your present state, you don't stand a chance against me." Despite being almost two feet shorter than Vader, her menacing glare caused him to take a step back, something none of his masters had ever been able to make him do.

"You've never seen my dark side, Anakin," she growled. Taking a deep breath, she continued. "Your crew is significantly smaller now than when I boarded, Anakin. Considering your piloting skills, perhaps they could use you on the bridge."

"I won't stop hunting this crew, Riebe," Vader said in an attempt to save face. Riebe shook her head.

"Yes, you will," she told him. "Because wherever they are, I'm never far behind."

The two combatants, former friends, stared at each other for several long, heavy seconds. Then, without another word, Vader turned and left.

Beryl exhaled the deep breath that she hadn't realised she was holding. "Told you Tarla wasn't a traitor," she said triumphantly to Jana, breaking the silence that had followed Vader's unexpected departure.

"Well?" Beryl gave Riebe a questioning but hopeful look. "Get us out of here, will 'ya?" She bit her lip. "Please?" she added, her brow furrowing with uncertainty.

Without a word, Riebe drove one of her lightsabers into the control panel of the cell holding the majority of the crew. The force field sputtered and went out. Then, she did the same to the cell holding Ryshana.

"Sorry I..." Jana began. Riebe cut her off.

"Sorry you what, insulted me?" she said. Shaking her head, she went on, "I know more languages than you seem to think. I know what you said. I also know you didn't mean it."

"I'm still sorry I said it," Jana insisted. "I'm a..."

"Don't keep up the swearing, Jana," Riebe interrupted. "It just doesn't fit you." Turning to Ryshana she said, "And you're forgiven as well. I know the stories circulated through the remaining Jedi about me. With misinformation, you couldn't do better than you did."

"Now," she finished, "let's get out of here."

"Wait!" Jana exclaimed. "Where's Cloud?"

Riebe frowned. "Not here?" She took a step back and looked around. "I'll go look for him. You head for your ship."

She ran off in search of Cloud and Jana turned to the others.

"Not quite the circumstances I thought I'd run into an old friend," she mumbled. "Come on... let's go."

"First things first. Wheres the armory?" Asked Jack as he rose from the hard metal floor of his prison cell "I don't like the idea of going through a star destroyer unarmed. And while we're at it we can also prevent this thing from following us."

Cloud looked around the hallway he was in. "It has to be around here somewhere..." Cloud thought. As he thought, footsteps were heard. A Stormtrooper was coming. Cloud hid around a cornor. He would have to hide the body once he KOed it. He picked up his wrench and was ready to strike. When the Stormtrooper passed Cloud, he never knew what hit him. Cloud banged the wrench on his head, removed his helmet, and gave him a sleeper hold, knocking him out silently. He dragged the body to a closet, removed the soldier's armor, and put it on. He also took a key card for an armory from the downed soldier. He looked for the door to an armory and eventually found one. Inside, he found his sword. "Better to go around looking like a stormtrooper then being in normal clothing." thought Cloud.

"I don't want to stay on this ship any longer than I have to, but..." She gave Jack a disparging look. "Grumpy's right. Without Riebe here, we need weapons." She thought back to the schematics of the Star Destroyer she had seen at the seminar she had attended a few years back. "I've seen schematics for this ship when it was in the planning stages," she said to the group. "And if we're on the same level as the hanger, then the quickest way to the armoury should be...." She pointed down corridor the way Vader had gone. "That way," she said glumly.

She looked at Jana and Nic. "Your call though."

Ryshana looked at Riebe with a bit of peculiar interest. Although Riebe had rescued them, Ryshana still wasn't entirely convinced.

As Riebe left, and the others started discussing about getting weapons, Ryshana paused for a moment. "Well, it'll be easier for all of you to get the weapons and make for the Echo. Leave me to take care of disabling this ship. One person, especially one trained in stealth tactics like myself, will stand a much better chance of disabling the ship. Besides, with the Force as my ally, I won't be needing a weapon right away," Ryshana told Nic.

"You may be good at stealth and tatics but when it comes to disabling a ship, I'm your man. In the ca.. where I was trained they taught me how to disable republic star destroyer. The chasis and what-not are pretty much the same. I also know how to make one hell of an explosion!"

((Take it easy there, Steven :D We're not trying to kill Vader prematurely, are we :p ))

"Your training will do you no good if you're caught," Jana argued. "In a situation like this, we need stealth." She turned to Nic. "Agreed, Captain?"

----------------

Meanwhile, Riebe continued through the ship, looking for Cloud. As she walked, Stormtroopers began to follow her. Soon, there were at least twenty Troopers trailing behind her. Then, they all broke off, turning to go through an airlock. They went through one at a time until all of them were dead in space.

Still Riebe went on. Finally, she came to a single Stormtrooper holding a sword. Raising an eyebrow, she stared at him for a long moment. Then, she laughed.

"Stormtroopers don't carry swords," she told him. "Take off that helmet... in fact, get completely out of the uniform. If you're with me, you have no need of them. The Imperials will pay you no more attention than one of their own. Come along. The rest of your crew is already headed for the ship."

Cloud did as he was told and took off the Impeial armor. "You must be Sith Hunter, or Tarla, or Riebe, or whatever they call you." said Cloud as he took off the armor. He looked down and seen an Imperial issue BlasTech E-11 Blaster Rifle. "I could use one of these." said Cloud to himself. He picked it up and put it on his belt. "I know this sounds stupid right now, but I gotta ask you this: What is Darth Vader's real name?"
