00M-187 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 In space battles? Also what is the point of it?
Master Nikolaos Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I know, its so annoying...I don't know how to remove it though.
popcorn2008 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 The point is it is the shroud of war. When you push reinforcments it shows where you can't call in ships. I do agree, they could have made it a lot less eye irritatiting.
Master Nikolaos Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Do you think they are actually placed on the map models, or is there something like a preferences files inside the game folder?
popcorn2008 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 It is something inside the game files as the shroud depends on where your units are located.
AETOS75 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Just Close the Reinforcement window and the shroud dissappears. But you need to watch your pop cap carefully. And if you lose some units just bring your new units into the game. Best thing you can do to your eyes.
GhOsT-Jedi Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 You remove it by clicking the reinforcement button You click it once to turn it on, to show where you can, and cannot put your force. You click it again to turn it off.
Admiral Sith Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 There not in the maps, it automatically places no hypering in/around asteroid fields, stations, and ships.
Admiral Z Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Didn't really notice it till you guys mentioned it. NOW I SEE IT ALL THE TIME. IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!! Heh
Commander Obi-Wan Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 The point is it is the shroud of war. When you push reinforcments it shows where you can't call in ships. I do agree, they could have made it a lot less eye irritatiting. Yeah, I agree with you there. It creates a wee bit more of challenge. XP
Master Nikolaos Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Actually, I'm not talking about the grid when there are reinforcements. If you care to look really closely, there is usually a grid close to asteroids, on top of planets, etc. It ruins some of the graphical continuity in the game when looking top down.
Admiral Z Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 To be honest. I havent seen those grids. They only appear when I call in reinforcements.
Master Nikolaos Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 You'll find them sooner or later if you look hard enough. " Use the force".
arkodeon Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I've seen them, they are in the shroud/fog of war, any area you haven't discovered.
