First off let me say how disappointed I am that only a very few ammount of you said Half-Life. There is no way anyone should be able to compile a list of their favorite games without HL being on it. This is a travisty.

I will pray for all of you who did not mention it. wink.gif

Ok, my list..

Half-Life

Counter-Strike

Opposing Force

Dark Forces

Jedi Knight

Unreal Tournament

Pod Racer

RS

XWA

And that's about it. But in 2 weeks Half-life: Blue Shift comes out and I'm getting that I would hope that you all get it too. biggrin.gif

</font>Forgive me, I assumed that since we were talking about an add-on pack , that people in this discussion would already have played the game and known about Biessman.

Actually, if you think about it, since I HAVE played the game, the knowledge that Biessman apparently comes back from the dead is a spoiler for me

Ummm... fairly original thread - I like it.

I also like originality, something lacking heavily from todays games in general, as is innovation (and YES there is a distinction between the two)

Fav games include :

X-Wing Alliance

Lylat Wars

Metal Gear Solid

Final Fantasy Series (& in particular)

Zelda Series

Shenmue

Phantasy Star Online

Killer Instinct (SNES Original - best beat-em up EVER)

Unreal Tournament

Supremecy

Goldeneye

Jedi Knights (Being Light Jedi makes final fight SOOOO easy)

Monkey Island

Full Throttle

Rogue Squadron

Original Star Wars Arcade Wire Frame Games

Ice Wind Dale

...and the list culd easily go on.

I have owned and played very near the thousand mark in games, so have a vast number of favs, but all time best ones :

Metal Gear Solid

Final Fantasy 7

Killer Instinct

XWA

Supremecy

Ice Wind Dale

I like involving games - with chracter dvelopment and storylines, but a ceratin degree of free roaming allowed (FF, Ice Wind Dale and Metal Gear Solid).

KI was just the greatest designed Beat-em Up ever for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many reasons.

And Supremecy - need I even go in to it ?

Commander, If you do like character development and thick storyline, I'd suggest Baldur's Gate II, since Icewind Dale than Bioware's answer to Blizzard's Diablo.
