lukeiamyourdad Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 What would be the point of that? Like you said, in ranged, you could still deflect back the shots, eventually defeating your enemy. In melee, you can't do that unless some sort of riposte feat was created.
Vaelastraz Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 Doing parries by pressing a button? No not even Jedi knight makes use of that. Btw, as far as i know, unlike other games there is no damage reduction in Kotor, except via items. It is all your defense stat which determines if you block/evade the attack or not.
DarkLord152 Posted June 19, 2006 Author Posted June 19, 2006 My question is how do you get the percentage or whatever so that youre character can block an attack...
Hallucination Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 There is no percentage. What happens is the attacking person makes a die roll of 1-20 plus their attack modifier, and the attacked person makes a roll of 1-20 plus their defense modifier. If the attacker has a higher number than the defender they hit, and if the defender has the higher number it's a miss.
DarkLord152 Posted June 20, 2006 Author Posted June 20, 2006 so basically you need to have high defense to be able to block
Soogz Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I like the system they have now. All you need is a high defense and you will block. I mean lets get logical, if some guy is lighting you up with a blaster, you obviously aren't going to block all of them... and I will let you take it from there.
Prime Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 so basically you need to have high defense to be able to blockThat is exactly right.
Fiestainabox Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 No, cause then It becomes Jedi Kight Jedi Acadamy, Just stick with medkits
