popcorn2008 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I was thinking the other day, that the seperatists could have killed off Obi-Wan at the begining of Episode III. If they would have used a regular missle that explodes and shot that at Obi-Wan instead of "Buzz Droids" then they could have got him. But nooo... they wanted to do it the hard way. Anyone agree? lol
Commander Obi-Wan Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Only you, popcorn, would think of such things. I guess the Seps are just plain stupid.
PoiuyWired Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Well, the seps are "deliberately" made out of less than first class brains and leaders. Palpy wants a reasonable enemy but not one that can actually be powerful enough to stand on their own over long period of time should they decide to ignore his support. Even Palpy would think of the "what if Dork-u decides to go rogue on him" Unfortunately Dooku is a failure who can't think sith enough.

urluckyday Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 ...who cares...it happened like it happened...besides...he already dodged a missile...
PoiuyWired Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 MachineCult said: Untrue, read the Republic novels, Dooku is a Sith, by name and by nature. Well, its his fault for trusting Palpy about the fake kidnap plan.
KyleOfHarpenden Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 lol i think he knew about it but dooku had a soft spot for the fact that he thought the republic was corrupted that's what Palpy does exploits his enermys weaknesses. Besides the Ceps where probally told not to kill the jedi because i doubt he wanted to stay locked up ungaurded and alone when he could have just used the force to push a button inseatd of sitting there like an idiot, anyways dooku was in my opinion a jedi who would do anything to acheive his goals not as much of a sith as Maul but still a reckless and bloodthrusty warrior who wanted to be listened to.

Soft spot = Fail. Sith with a soft spot is a weakness. Thats why ihe has not broken his chains of the past. Thats why he is not free. Thats why he is tricked by Palpy. In Other Words, there is still a bit of Jedi inside him, even as he denys it. A pity really, cause he would have made a nice Dark lord if he goes rogue against Palpy for real.
Davinq Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Dooku has to be my favorite Sith Lord, cuz his lightsaber is awesome. I hated his death by Anakin.
RC-1162 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 and he got pwned by a 20 year old although, Dooku might have wanted the jedi to be alive so that he could knock them off himself.
Kurgan Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 So did Darth Vader... (well, technically they were each 22 years old respectively, according to the "official" timeline).
RC-1162 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 if you mean Vader got pwned by luke, then its believable, because Vader was around 45-50% machine. dooku was 100% flesh
St. Jimmy Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 *Gasp* but robots aren't supposed to get pwned! They're supposed to rock all over the place! I know I know he wasn't a robot... he was more of a cyborg (my nerdness is showing) but then shouldn't he at least PARTly rock everywhere?...
RC-1162 Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 he DID rock! he threw ol' Palpy into the reactor core
St. Jimmy Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 That's true, and it DID rock you're right. Vader's cool. I hate Palpatine he's so incredibly annoying! I like the lightning flashes when he dies.

The combination between bots and meatbags are always wonderful. Think, would you rather face a deathmatch bot, a l33t playa, or a l33t playa with aimbot?

J/k (before some nerd whips out their guidebook to correct me!) Seriously though I don't think that's a really valid argument, because Grievous was like 90% machine, and he supposedly killed various Jedi Masters in combat and severally wounded others. Of course in the movie he just gave Obi-Wan a hard time and almost killed him. And he also had no force abilities whatsoever. Plus let's not forget the various Jedi who were killed on Geonosis by battle droids...
RC-1162 Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 @ Kurgan: greivous had four helicopter-wristed arms. Vader had two bulky ones . one more thing, though. why couldnt anakin or obi wan use the force to knock off those buzz droids? they could have easily force-pushed the little suckers off the ship.
Darth Badguy Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Perhaps the force was weak over there or something
MachineCult Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 ^ What? No. RC-1162 said: one more thing, though. why couldnt anakin or obi wan use the force to knock off those buzz droids? they could have easily force-pushed the little suckers off the ship. I just thought that he was too busy concentrating on flying.
PoiuyWired Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Well, obi is never a great pilot(relatively), so he have to concentrate on flying. That, and Ani is sure that he can do that w/o resorting to the force, and he did.
