Terran I
I only liked Episode 4, other episodes ruined the story! And I see the same pattern in KotOR series, I just hope they don't mess up too much!!!
90SK
Assuming the general consensus that the KotOR series takes after the original trilogy is correct, I wouldn't worry about that. They've done fine so far.
Terran I
You call it fine? TSL are missing an entire PLANET!!!
90SK
So is KotOR, more so than TSL.
Terran I
My point was that story has too many holes to be continued, I don't say it is not happening! I mean the movies have a gap of 20 years between trilogies! What do you want Revan for to kill all the sith, how will they survive till the Episode 1? Or maybe he will lead the Sith? Some things should be left untold!
90SK
Holes can be filled in. That's the point of a sequel. If they give no resolution to the current plotline (i.e. where did Revan go? What happened? How does the Exile figure in?), there are a lot of people who won't think it at all justified.
Terran I
What do you want Skye from KotOR III to start where KotOR left, or after the story about Exile(after TSL)?
90SK
Well, from a chronological standpoint KotOR III will likely take place after the events of KotOR II, if that's what you're asking. Though it might be interesting to play as a character that interacts with Revan during the five year period between K1 and K2. However I'd be surprised if KotOR III was a prequel. Terran I
OK, if KotOR III takes place after KotOR than it makes sense to have story about Revan, but if it goes after TSL than holes probably won't be filled! And it would make even more questions, but give little or no answers!!! So I was thinking that story could start after KotOR and continues even after TSL! Story won't have any problems you would play on totally new worlds, and story about KotOR and TSL won't even matter! I mean it won't matter what happened before KotOR III only thing that will matter is what are Revan or/and Exile doing in that strange new world that is not part of the Republic!!! Terran I
Lets see what they make(if the y make anything), can't talk about something that does not exist!!! If Revan is back, he is back, if not... By the way Skye, only you and I seem to care what happens to Revan on this thread, so maybe we should stop talking, and let someone else say their opinion, new thoughts would refresh this talk about KotOR III!!! RedHawke
You call it fine? TSL are missing an entire PLANET!!! Clairification: (KotOR and TSL Missing Game Content) --------------------------------------------------- KotOR II: TSL [*] Missing The HK Factory section on Telos... [*] Droid Planet (M4-78 ?) [*] A few ending cutscenes... cut for a good reason IMHO. [*] Section of Nar Shadaa Docks Total: 1 Planet and a few modules and cutscenes missing in TSL. --------------------------------------------------- KotOR I Sleheron Live Planet 2 Live Planet 3 Live Planet 4 Live Planet 5 Live Planet 6 Jedi Enclaive Sub-level Parts of Korriban, in Dreshdae Gammorian Camp in Taris Sewers Black Vulkar Base Upper Level Alternate DS Female Ending Cutscene Total: 6 Planets and several modules and a cutscene in KotOR. --------------------------------------------------- Now which game is missing more content? Terran I
Skye said that they were doing a fine job by now!!! What I ment was that, they are still losing planets (in TSL only One). So they are not DOING FINE I was not compering KotOR I and II. I was saying that KotOR III could be a disaster!!!
90SK
Why? Because more cut areas means a less successful game? The implications of your statement are questionable when compared with your other arguments.
Terran I
OK, I like playing KotOR series. I would like to see a sequel! After original movie trilogy I aslo wanted to watch Episodes 1,2,3 but I was disappointed!!! That is what I am afraid of in this game!!! Don't get me wrong KotOR has a fine story, that is the main reason why I play it, ohh and I like RPG games! If you cut areas from the game make player not notice that they are missing. If doors were leading to those areas put walls where doors once stood! Why? Because more cut areas means a less successful game? The implications of your statement are questionable when compared with your other arguments. You probably mean when I said that sequels are ruining the original? I will elaborate: When KotOR was made I didn't expect a good game, I was wrong, but when TSL came out I did expect a game that had less flaws(No missing planets,... crashing to desktop...). So now I have no expectations, so I could be nicely surprised, or not
Henz
Are you seriously asking why Revan is so god damn important? In the world of Kotor? Well, he is the one man who is responsible for almost everything that happened and happens in the Kotor story. That doesn't mean, everyone has to know him, but he is one of the most if not the most important character in the Kotor story. No offense, but Bullsh*t. If Revan was vital enough to need an appearance in KOTOR3, he would have needed one in TSL too. His actions were pivitol to the state of the KOTOR universe, there's no denying it, but there's still no need to sit down and have tea with him. Prime
What is important is the effect that Revan has had on the state of the galaxy, not so much Revan himself. K3 "needs" to continue to reflect those effects. It is not important to have Revan as an active part.
urluckyday
I'd personally like to see the 3rd one set several years after episode 6. We could like visit Luke's academy and stuff like that...it'd be really cool.

Zefie
- Neither Exile or Revan can talk. Acually, Revan CAN talk. They had a voice for her. She would say things when she unlocked a door, or put down a mine, just like the NPCs.

Mario1
How about a new game altogether? *GASP, SHOCK, HORROR* They could try making Knights of the New Republic. LA kind of teased at this already with the Jedi Academy game. Why not an RPG? With the various conflicts the New Republic faced, it would make a fine setting. You also get the added benefit of dropping the Skywalkers/Solos into the game. Maybe even the Yuzhan Vong invasion or afterwards. I think that would be a great game too. Worst... Idea... EVAH.... FIrst that timeline sucks! Yuzhan Vong War is all OMG WE HAVE TO STOP THE MOON FROM CRASHING INTO THE PLANET BUT THE SHIP I'M ON IS ALMOST BLOWN UP OMG OMG OMG. Ok my idea: Atris begins rebuilding the order. The Party members Visas, Atton, Brianna/Mical and Mira are still Padawans. And we dont see 'em much. Mandalore continues gathering clans. We dont see or hear much of Revan, The Exile and the True Sith. Some of the leftover Sith are still rulling a part of the galaxy kinda. Now about the PC I want him to be a smuggler or soldier or something who gets discovered by Jedi and put for training. He is not a Jedi Exile nor a former Sith Lord. I dont want a new engine I want it to be on the same engine as K1 and K2. But I'm really more interested in the TSL Restoration Project+Droid Planet Restoration Project. Because if there is a K3 it will be announced after 1 year and will be released after 3 more years. Because we dont want deleted content like in K2. Henz
I like the way a great deal of people, when deciding they'd like to move away from the current story of KOTOR, think KOTNR is the sensible option; forgetting that there's 4000 years [give or take] of KOTOR to explore, and the fact that there could be a storyline that is set at the exact same time as the first 2, but in a different location.
