Cygnus Q'ol
Even though these were relatively short sword fights, I did enjoy Ducard and Bruce Wayne's spar on that frozen lake then later in the dojo in Batman Begins. Also short and very sweet was the Achilles/Hector showdown in Troy. I remember Maximus having some very sweet scenes in Gladiator also. But, I must submit to Jae's obsevation as well. I had totally forgotten about Princess Bride. Good one Onasi. Even though it was bad choreography, bad lighting, and doesnt measure up to the newer more technologically advanced prequel battles, there's still something inside me that loves re-living the first time I ever witnessed a lightsaber battle. The original Vader/Obi-wan battle in Star Wars (ep. 4)
Mace MacLeod
1) Connor McLeod vs Kurgan in Highlander. Classic fighting, best hero and best villain in the whole movie/tv series pantheon. 2) Dooku vs Yoda with Sidious vs Yoda a close second. Yoda's battlecry in AotC while flipping through the air and bouncing off walls was priceless. It made sitting through the rest of the movie worthwhile just for that. And I just got a kick out of Sidious finally getting to whip out the sithsaber. "I've been waiting for this for a long time, my little green friend." RC-1162
new one: although there isn't much blade-clashing, i liked the way Christian Bale moved with the sword in Equilibrium.
Inyri
Better not get on your bad side... I think that he (Park, not Maul) is a better fighter than Ewan/Liam but I always like to look on the other side of the road before I come to a conclusion. That makes people think I'm an indecisive person, and somewhat annoying because I never seem to agree with the "right" cause. Also consider that perhaps Maul was supposed to be more powerful than the two Jedi. Keep in mind that Sith are usually more aggressive than Jedi. Plus really the only reason Obi-wan could defeat Maul was because he tapped into his anger and used some of that "Sith" aggression . woogiee
Swordfight: I can't remember which fight it was in Hero, but Jet Li and the other dude were fighting in a court yard while some old guy played some instrument. That would be Donnie Yen that Jet Li fought in that scene, same one I said
Jae Onasi
Better not get on your bad side... That makes people think I'm an indecisive person, and somewhat annoying because I never seem to agree with the "right" cause. Nothing wrong with looking at all sides of the equation. I'm not offended if you (or anyone else) disagree with me. It only looks indecisive if you pick a side just to be contrary and don't have good reasons to back up you opinion.
