international game playing

After downloading the trila from the website, i joined the game andserver that my friends in america were on. Through xnbox live, we navigated to meet at the same point. lo and behold, i couldnt see them and vice versa. Afetr multiple times trying, we gave up. So just to make sure, is it possible for people in england to play with people in america?

I'm not entirely sure how servers work in Galaxies, but in WoW, a player in England can only play on American servers if he has an american game (CD key).

Oh, I didn't notice the trial part, and forgot the part where he said he downloaded it from a website... dang, I'm confused.

bollox, i meant i was talking to them through the XBOX communicator, on jedi academy, whilst on the trial version on my pc. as it is full screen and international phone calls cost money. and they were typos...
