- Take advantage of our Tutorials listed at the top of Holowan in the sticky areas

- Use the search feature religously... most often than not, someone has been in your situation (or future ones) and have asked/received the answers...

- Don't hesitate to ask questions yourself. If you're stuck or just can't find the answer you need.. there's alot of us here, and we'll help (everyone knows when I need scripting help, I don't hesitate to open my big mouth.. hehehe)

- Most modding tools can be found on our sister sight here: StarWarsKnights.com : Tools

- stock up on caffeine and kiss your "free time" good-bye :xp:

- Enhance your vocabulary because you'll soon run out of the 'run of the mill' cursewords.. and you'll need to start making some up (Twilek works well) "Ahh Schutta!" ..hehehe

- become familiar with these smilies :fist::headbump

I prefer Space This!, but thats just a prefrence.

My tip?

-Crack out a copy of Microsoft word, or anything with a spell checker, and copy your dialog entries there before pasting them into your dialog file.

Start small and easy, with just a few reskins or item edits, and then move on to harder stuff. It realy helps if you slowly scale the difficulty of your mods. Though I guess I shouldn't talk since I've only been here awhile. :)

Can anyone give me some useful tips?

Welcome to the forums, Darth Dragoon! :waive1: Good to have another modder.

The only advice I have that hasn't been said already is to start small. I've seen a lot of new modders who want to make new planets or storylines, which is almost impossible. Start with little things, and then you'll be able to move onto the big ones. :)

Oh, and NEVER try to tweak every little thing you notice. It happened to me... I started correcting little things in both games, and before I knew it, my override folders were full of thousands (I'm not kidding) of little tweaks that sucked away my spare time. I now mod the KotOR games more than I play them... ChAiNz is quite right about losing your free time. :xp:
