klaythan Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Sorry if this has been posted already, but I couldn't see it in the first few recent posts. The news is, Vivendi is publishing Doublefine's new game which wont be a psychonauts sequel. http://www.doublefine.com/news.htm http://www.sierra.com/en/home/news/product_news/090706_-_double_fine.html
klaythan Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 Oh, i concluded the non-psychonauts sequel from this sentence... "The as yet unnamed title is a brand new creation and will be published by Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment label." But it is still open-ended.
Thrik Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 'tis good news. Vivendi is a pretty strong publisher and has a lot of money to throw around (considering they also publish World of Warcraft). Hopefully they'll be able to do a better job of advertising whatever game Double Fine develops a bit better than Majesco did.
DarthAve Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Vivendi...I've heard of them somewhere. ~runs to room~ OH YEAH! They did The Simpsons: Hit and Run! THIS NEW GAME IS GONNA ROCK, PSYCHONAUTS SEQUEL OR NOT!!
Caligosto Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Vivendi published Spyro: A Hero's Tail I believe. (awesome game) From what I know, they do really good games.
VampireNaomi Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Ooh, sounds great. I missed all the hype when Psychonauts was being developed, but this time around I'll be there to share all the excitement and argue about pointless things.
Miss_Mayhem Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I had Simpson's Hit and Run. Decent game, better for the true Simpsons fan.
