jp-30 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Sorry, but I had to share this kids auction listing. ** the curse of monkey island *** the curse of monkey island is a fun stratagy game travel the seas and kill bad guys. 2 disks game is made by lucas arts ""WICKED GAME"" I have not sold a thing yet and this is like my tenth thing I am trying to sell I bought this for $30 cheak my other listings, I am selling more computer games. I have not sold a thing yet and this is like my tenth thing I am trying to sell Maybe I should leave a comment & tell him to actually play the game before selling it?
Joshi Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 He sells other things as well. Check out "all 3 red alert games", his "requirements" are great. He even has a home made board game... And a game demo, starting bid of which is $1. I've never had to pay for a demo in my life.
SyntheticGerbil Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Poor little bugger. I mean you can kind of argue that you travel the seas and kill bad guys in Part 3.
Joshi Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 You don't kill any bad guys though, you just fight them and steal their money. The only person we kill is LeChuck and hell, he's been killed so many times, it's more like and inconvienience for him now.
jp-30 Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 When I saw the kid's home made board game *** zen echo *** and his sadness at never selling anything, I decided to bid on it. Should make his day...
Joshi Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 When I saw the kid's home made board game *** zen echo *** and his sadness at never selling anything, I decided to bid on it. Should make his day... You do realise you may end up buying this... and convincing him to sell ***zen echo 2*** and ***zen echo 3***... May just keep a sharp eye on this guy.
jp-30 Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 The promise of sequels is what has me intrigued.
Huz Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 He doesn't seem to be selling Zen Echo any more! Are you the lucky owner, jp? Give us a review. Is it better than Thrillville? I am assuming yes.
itchythesamurai Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 But in Zen Echo, can you make a guy get laid just by winning a teddy bear? Personally, that's a fantasy world I wouldn't mind escaping to.
Huz Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Fantasy world? That happens to me all the time. I'm kind of sick of it now. I yearn to win teddy bears in peace.
jp-30 Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Yes, I won it. Full review will be forthcoming.
jp-30 Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 OK, you can keep up with the great unveiling of *** zar echo *** in this thread on the force.net boards .
Huz Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Oh man, that's great, although I'm more than a little bit confused on the bus issue. Have you played it yet? I hope you're going to invite all your friends round for Zar Echo night.
jp-30 Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Yeah, the bus is a bit odd, but an intriguing addition to the lore of *** zen echo ****. As another person points out in that Force.net thread, you need 2 dice at most points in the game, but there are points where throwing a total of 1 is desirable, which is difficult with 2 standard dice. Haven't actually played it yet, no. I think I will have to figure out how the winner is determined before setting up my first session. In fact, I'd live to take it to the city, to one of those D&D type Games Workshop stores that I've always been too scared to enter, unfold it on a table with a bunch of friends, and have a good hour / hour and a half long *** zar echo *** session in there.
Huz Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 one of those D&D type Games Workshop stores that I've always been too scared to enter Glad I'm not alone in this. Much like those establishments with blacked-out windows, marked simply 'PRIVATE SHOP', entering a Games Workshop store is an intriuging yet scary prospect. I would not attempt it alone!
Joshi Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Much like those establishments with blacked-out windows, marked simply 'PRIVATE SHOP', entering a Games Workshop store is an intriuging yet scary prospect. The difference being that the Games Workshop doesn't tend to have blackened out windows so people will see you in there.
jp-30 Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 Yes, and being seen in a Games Workshop is one of those things I'm trying to avoid in this lifetime.
