Nice. Good to hear that IGN are going to give a few more updates on other features of the game all the way up prior to the games launch date. They have also added 20 odd new screens aswell which look sweet.

IGN have been very light on updates - and rightly so, after their awful review of the game. Probably the worst gaming site out there.

It says under Bel Iblis' description in one of the screenshots that he "stole the Gargantuan battle platform from an Imperial testing facility". Does that sound like the Rebels are getting a new (possibly stationary) space unit?

 

Also, it looks like the ground maps are getting even more enhancements than infantry-specific terrain. Terrain height also seems to be a factor now, adding range to units stationed atop hills. Sounds good to me.

Garm is a ground vehicle hero - the vehicle is new and so far we haven't released screen shots of it. It's actually my favorite unit

The scout/recon unit idea is great.

 

Now you don't have to worry about computer "defaulting" your starting units in battle.

 

Being able to play with deployment is definitely a plus also, and especially true when it comes with non-default building positions. (no more "pinging" the forcefield generator and airstrike it down)
