MrWally
*cries* Anyways, to get back to the Wii. I'm seriously interested in the bowling game. Obviously. How exactly did it feel? Did the tilt of the remote determine the direction? Could you spin the ball by quickly flicking your wrist? Details!!!
Datheus
Okay, riddle me this Grooves: I was watching the trailer for Red Steel (the newer one) and it really looked like they were trying to hide the swordplay. It looked like swinging the remote just triggered static animations. I'm going to be really disappointed if you don't get full range of motion with the sword play. If I want to use static animations to try and hit a weak spot when I could have easily swung the sword in a different manner for a cleaner hit, I'll just go play a Jedi Knight game. PLEASE say, "Yes, Red Steel swordplay has full range of motion." <3 (But only if it's true.)
MrWally
Hmmm... I noticed that too Dath. It seems as if the system goes something like: Swing your arm to get a chop, flick your wrist left or right to parry, rotate to block, etc. But I hope I'm wrong. I mean your motion is limited, because if you go off screen, (which I often did) you ARE limited by that respect. Otherwise, the sword pretty much moves with you. (by doing those motions in the air with the wiimote, not pointing at the screen)
coupes.
The sword controls are said to be 1:1, meaning the sword replicates your wiimote's movements.

coupes.
Just a clirification though, I beleive the sword only moves when you do a swipe motion, you won't be able to twirl it around or write your name. Well, that's what I gathered from the videos. edit:Well, apparently 1:1 control is not part of the game afterall. I had read from a couple of sources that it was in fact in it, but the most recent hands-on impression by IGN says otherwise... I was hoping for 1:1 controls as well, but I suppose that would be very demanding on the processor. I'm sure a developper will try to do it at one point or another, right now most developpers are still learning how to make good use of the wiimote's capabilities.
