Negative Sun
Who else is excited about Marvel Ultimate Alliance? It's an Action-RPG that unites ALL the characters from the marvel universe, it's a comic book geek's dream come true!!! I'm a huge fan of Spiderman, Silver Surfer, X-Men, FF, and The Avengers, so it's natural I'm very much looking forward to this! Check out this kickass Nightcrawler video here On another note, who else was disappointed by the last X-Men movie? Scott is supposed to be the X-Men's leader and he gets killed like some random sucker, same with professor X, WTF?!!
HerbieZ
It looks cool but it's not my cup of tea.
FiEND_138
An expanded X-Men Legends type game. ****in cool. was disappointed by the last X-Men movie? Suck'd.
montnoir
Ultimate Alliance - obvious x-men legends type-game sequel (sort of), upgraded graphics, expanded hero base, released on PC = COOL! About the x-men movies; the movies are not made for comics book geeks, they're made for the general audience. The general audience not having read 50 years of x-men comics, having no idea who cyclops is, doesn't think he is cool enough, not nearly as cool as the wolverine, who gets to take on the leader role in the movies and cyclops gets... well, you who've seen the movie, know what he gets. Don't mix up the comics and the movies, they're based in 2 different universes with 2 different stories, what is true in one doesn't mean that it's true in the other. Venom750
Not really looking forward to the game because i'm not a fan of all the cell shaded crap and X-men 3 was crap i mean wolverine was suppose to be a hot head and all of a sudden he's the leader what about storm she was 2nd in command so one would think she'd be next in line but then wolverine wtf

True, that doesn't mean it didn't suck though, and from what I've heard it's not only comic book fans who think so...

I didn't read X-Men much growing up, although I probably know a bit more than most casual fans (who the characters were, etc.). But I don't really know the comic storylines or how the movies deviate from them. In any event. X-Men 3 sucked. As for this game. It looks great. I haven't had a chance to play the X-Men legends games, but I've been meaning to.
Negative Sun
I tried a PC demo for X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, but the controls were very PC-unfriendly, I really hope they fix that with MUA or I'm gonna be pissed off! montnoir
X-Men Legends was cel-shaded, Ultimate Alliance... not as obvious. Still, UA emulates cartoons, not the realistic 3d of other games, so... how better to do it than through cel-shading? Regardless, it's not the same cel-shading style like say Killer 7 or Wind Waker, it's a lot more cartoonish/comicbookish... it kind of fits. Tips for x-men legends controls: don't use the mouse, it's unoptimised for mouse. Use WSAD for movement and your right hand on numpad buttons 4 and 6 for hard punch and fast punch, use space for specials. Easy. Shouldn't be a problem if you're used to a keyboard. As for the movie. It was a waste of story, true... and not really good. Nevertheless I'm tired of hearing the same complaints "Wolverine doesn't heal that fast!" "Cyclops is the leader!" what-evah! The movies and the comics don't play by the same rules. It's not the same characters. Just the same "base material".
Negative Sun
You forgot:"Jean isn't supossed to be such a lousy character!" I might give Legends another try, but I like using my mouse...
