TiE23
Take-Two Interactive lawyers have filed a motion to have Jack Thompson declared in contempt of court. The motion requests that Judge Ronald Friendman, who sat on the hearing overseeing Thompson's failed attempt to have Bully banned, order the Floida lawyer to appear in court and defend himself against the contempt allegation. If found in contempt, Thompson could face anything from fines, to censure or even jail time. In his typical style, Thompson reacted with angry emails that he sent to the attorneys and judge and CCed to GamePolitics. 'You want to play hardball...? You want to try to throw me in jail? You have no idea what you are unleashing in doing this. You're at the brink..." "If this court in any fashion proceeds toward issuing a show cause order, given its utter baselessness and the bad faith goo in which it slithers, then Thompson will add whatever judge should do so as a defendant in the aforementioned federal civil rights action..." Man, I hope someone gets video of that hearing. HOT, HOT, HOT! Brian Crecente http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/bully/jack-faces-jail-over-bully-209583.php Holy crap, he's finally going to get it! Lightsaberboy
I can't believe he's so worked up over Bully. I mean, it didn't even get an "M" rating for crying out loud! here was what gamespot had on the ordeal: As part of his efforts to halt sales of Bully, Thompson petitioned Miami Judge Ronald Friedman to view the game before it went on sale last week. However, when the judge approved the game for sale, Thompson became angry, accusing the judge of "smiling" as he approved the sale of a game that would inspire teenagers to commit acts of violence as extreme as murder. Now, it appears Thompson's sharp words to Judge Friedman may land him in hot legal water. According to the blog GamePolitics.com, lawyers for Rockstar Games parent Take-Two Interactive are asking that Thompson be held in contempt of court for his comments to Judge Friedman. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6160347.html I hope this lawyer gets what he deserves. MasterRoss08
I Think this Thompson guy is attacking the wrong people so to speak. Attacking video games as a blame for all these school shootings and violent acts done by teeneagers and any kid isnt and shouldnt be the biggest blame here which it sadly is in alot of peoples veiws. If he should be attacking any1 it should be parents. Parents are the kids biggest tutors as kids grow up. Parents can decide if this game or movie etc is suitable for there kid or kids. And so on with Parents. You get my picture here. Blaming video games and anything else like bad movies and all that other stuff shouldnt be the video games fault and anything else. These video games movies etc are not meant for some veiwers and it should be up to parents judgement on what these kids play and watch. To end all this violence etc that these kids do Parents have to be better tutors to there kids. They have to speak out against violence and teach there kids that violence is wrong and all that other stuff. And have more disapline on there kids so they wont do these violent acts etc.
Dagobahn Eagle
It's amazing how he fails to research the games he attacks. Remember the pubic hair in The Sims 2? Bah, the only good lawyer's a jailed lawyer:p.

generalvaklu321
I dont worry about him getting publicity, really, the main area for which he is known is in the gaming world, and we all dislike him. I really do hope he goes to jail. Divine Retribution
