JawaJoey
Is there a way to change the KOTOR II resolution to be correct for widescreen? Even if it just crops the sides to make the game screen correct fullscreen ratio, I'd prefer that to the stretch.
The Sith'ari
Just try out the various resolutions until you see one that fits your tastes.
jonathan7
Hmmm, strange, I play all my games on my laptop (which is widescreen) and it just automatically fits the game to widescreen, so TSL for example jus uses the whole of the screen. Have you tryed playing around with the different screen options? I normally run my games in 1024 by 768 and its always fine.
JawaJoey
My only resolution options are 800x600 and 1024x786, (60hz for both). They both work fine, and take up the whole screen, but since they aren't widescreen aspect ratio, things get stretched. My screen's native desktop resolution is 1440x900, so even at fullscreen ratio I should be able to get a better res. I've tried editing the swkotor2.ini file, but it doesn't work. I looked into it, and you can only change the height and width values to certain resolutions that are already supported by the game, but even doing that, the image will go off the screen in at least one dimension. Windowed mode doesn't help, either. It appears to only go to 1028x768 in windowed, no matter what it is set to, even 800x600.
Char Ell
As you've discovered, TSL wasn't designed to natively support widescreen resolutions. However a few months ago ChAiNz.2da shared a link to an app he found called UniWS that provides some widescreen resolutions for TSL. <link>

(har har).. I'm going to sticky jmac's thread. Seems to be getting a bit popular recently
Char Ell
Oops, my bad for assuming. I never saw the original thread. Props to jmac7142 for finding this! I've yet to join the widescreeners' club but I have upgraded my dreams of a 20" widescreen to a 24" widescreen LCD 1080p when I can find one at the right price.
