While not being the most interesting film ever made, it does succeed at being one of the best happy movies I've seen in a while. Nothing really stood out as 'bad' to me, and it was clever how they kind of worked in a little bit of March of the Penguins spoofery. I thought the mexican penguins and the part when one of the birds said he was abducted by aliens were great. The music they used wasn't bad either. It worked well for the movie. Music numbers are not all that bad. I enjoyed it, and I didn't go with my family... Though I guess if you were forced to sit through Toy Story clones or whatever enough times I'd agree with you. I was a kid during the Disney Renaissance, I don't think I can ever appreciate a family film as much as I did those films. Edit: I fix'd your errors. In fact, I want to harm penguins because it seems like some sort of senseless craze. If it wasn't the craze that it was I'd probably be all over this movie. Lightsaberboy Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 I was really impressed with this movie. The penguins were so cuuuute, espcially the baby ones with the high voices. At first, I thought the ending was going to be him stuck in the zoo. That would've been a really cool dark ending, but would also prolly leave a lot of kids feeling sad, so they had the ending with his dancing causing the saving of their whole species. Still a good ending though. I also thought the chase scenes were pretty intense. When he was being chased by the sea lion and they were being attacked by the shamus, I was on the edge of my seat going "WHOOOOAAA!!" Especially when the shamus kept flipping them up and down.
