Samnmax221
An enviable haul! Let me know if The Republic is any good after you're done with it. I know it has some influence on the idea of Constitutional Republic, Plato also had some nutty ideas that are kind of fascist, I here Politics by Aristotle is better. itchythesamurai
I hear Politics by Aristotle is better. Coincidentally, Aristotle in Cockney rhyming slang translates to arse.

SyntheticGerbil
The only thing that remotely makes me want to read Ayn Rand is just so I can understand this comic strip by Evan Dorkin: Otherwise I think philosophers are a load of overprivelaged blowhards with delusions of grandeur. itchythesamurai
Otherwise I think philosophers are a load of overprivelaged blowhards with delusions of grandeur. True, but you've got to admit, some of those philosophers have stones. Eric, would you mind explaining that comic in five hundred words or less? Thanks. SyntheticGerbil
Well some dabbled in executing political theory, so they all just didn't sit around postulating. Those are the good ones.
Samnmax221
Otherwise I think philosophers are a load of overprivelaged blowhards with delusions of grandeur. No arguments there. Well some dabbled in executing political theory, so they all just didn't sit around postulating. Those are the good ones. Objectivism is pretty much the same thing as being a Libertarian, something I was long before I read the books. She wouldn't admit that there was any resemblance but it really doesn't matter to me.
