fortune faded13
If I buy the game, do I have to pay $15 a month? I don't really get the whole monthly payment thing.
darthcarth
The first month is free if you buy the package but after that month you will have to pay 15 dollars a month to continue playing.

Daft Adidas
carth what do u mean by package? What's overdraft charge?
Rogue15
overdraft charge is what happens when you don't have sufficient funds in the bank, but instead of having the hassle of a returned check/bounce i got a $30 overdraft charge one time. wasn't related to swg that time. Rogue15
package as in Complete Adventures. No matter what, you will have the expansions, if you don't pay for them, you'll still have them, you'll just be locked out of their content. If it was otherwise, you wouldn't be able to "see" things that people have acquired through playing the expansions.
Daft Adidas
i do want expansions but my computer dosn't have that much memory and i don't want it to over run my compuer or make it slow.
XoXoXAlexOxOxO
i hope i don't come off dumb in asking this but, is there maybe some kind of offline mode or does it become a fancy door stop once you stop subscribing?
Rogue15
you have no choice, you get the expansions whether you want them or not. It takes up 6 gigabytes of hard drive. You need at least 1 gigabyte of RAM to run it smoothly, and at least 2 gigabytes of hard drive space left after installation for the swap file so the game doesn't crash on ya. There is no offline mode. You must pay $15 a month to play. Yes, you can play it on dialup. I managed playing it on AOL 56k for about 4 months before broadband was available in my area. Jedi_82
Darth Idoit. You have to buy whole package. If u buy the newest one it is complete adventures and it has included star wars galaxies empire divided, jump to lightspeed, rage of the wookies and trials of obi wan. Well theres total experience too but it dosent have trials of obi wan so i would sucjest complete adventures. Whole pack is about 30$. BTW u dont have so much RAM do u? heh 256 it will play but it has lots of lag i would sucjest that u buy either 512, 1024 or 2GB. Hope this helps. And Total experience is old fashioned. Just buy the complete adventures. And ul be fine. Jedi_82
Daft Adidas
hmm i might get more ram maybe 512 and it should play lots better right? I don't really want trials of Obi Wan though (sounds crap) so i know this sounds dumb but i might get T expiernece only coz i don't want Obi Wan plus i won't lag so much. If only i had more ram. Jedi_82
Well 512 is enough i my self use 512 and runs fine. And trials of obi wan only addes mustafar and some other things and u seriously need trials of obi to advance higher than cl 60-70. Just buy complete adventures and ur fine. Daft Adidas
thanks Jedi 82 if i get 512 then i will def get complete adventure and obi wan.
Rogue15
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest go to that site and select Jump to Lightspeed, it will tell you what you need more of to run the game. When i first started, i was with 512mb ram and it takes about 3-10 minutes to load from shuttle to shuttle, not fast enough IMO....and that was with broadband. i went from 512 to 1 gigabyte when i had to use dialup and there was a HUGE difference, it only takes about 15-45 seconds to load now. Daft Adidas
hmm i gig eh? Sounds expensive if i kept my ram as it is it would take hours to load! I'm going to look into getting 1 gig.
Jedi_82
Well Rogue5 it also depends what kind comp u have. On myne it takes 20 secs to load and runs perfect almost no lag.

Rogue15
from the amount of ram he has, it doesnt sound like the game would work as good without that 1 gigabyte. now jedi, you've got a decent graphics card, which i recommend you go to that site: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest and see what it says you need.
